05/12/2025: We stayed here a few months ago during our trip to Ireland. We were very excited to stay at this resort and had booked a sea-view room at an upcharge. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that no sea-view rooms were available despite our confirmed reservation. We were eventually moved to another room that was nicely appointed, but it did not have the sea view we wanted and paid a higher rate for. The hotel declined to adjust the price or refund the difference, which was disappointing, especially since this was an error on the hotel’s side and not ours. To make matters more difficult, a large wedding was taking place during our stay. While weddings are understandable, the impact on non-wedding guests in this case was significant. The bar, lounge areas and balcony were almost completely occupied by wedding guests and loud music, making it very uncomfortable to use the space. Although staff insisted we could still use the bar, the reality was that 90–95% of the area was taken over by the wedding party. Furthmore, the restaurant was unavailable during the time we planned to have dinner, as they were busy cooking for and serving the wedding group. This meant we had to leave the property and walk into town just to get a meal. Considering the premium price and the fact that this was the stay we were most looking forward to on our trip, the overall experience fell well below expectations. After the hotel declined to resolve the room-rate issue, I ultimately had to contest the charge through my credit card provider (Visa). After submitting documentation, the case was reviewed and Visa ruled in my favour, issuing a refund for the difference in room category that we initially paid for. The resort itself is beautiful, and the location is great, but the combination of not receiving the room we booked, the lack of compensation, and the significant disruption from the wedding made our stay far less enjoyable than it should have been. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves the experience for guests who are not part of large events.

04/12/2025: Fantastic bakery!! We bought 2 different scones….and a Rhubarb/Strawberry pastry!! Fresh eggs also available…the lady behind the counter is super nice!! Highly recommended

01/12/2025: Omg this local bakery is incredible. While most of the baked goods have dairy, there were two vegan options —the chocolate cake and the corn bread—that we tried. Unreal! If you’re driving anywhere near this place make sure to stop in for a treat. You won’t be disappointed. It’s all homemade.

07/01/2026: I wish I could give it a 5-star review, but sadly I turned up on a calm Wednesday live music night jam 8-10pm, and the musical host on doublebass outright rejected us. We were told they only perform two 45 minute sets with a break, it was at 21:42 he said the night and music was finished. For me, this is a mix of poor event management and setting realistic expectations both to the guests, attendees and the musicians you are paying to be thete. You cannot host a live music night open to musicians joining from 8-10pm, and it ends at 19:42. Who here is telling the truth? I did not feel included or welcome. His band mates were actually positive and motivated to play another song for us to join in, but the host still refused them the pleasure of playing. He wanted to be in charge. Clearly this is not the spirit of music, or the way to make a good first impression for new musicial visitors of the Cable Cafe. The bar staff couldn't answer why the music didn't go until 10pm, and one said "maybe they weren't feeling it today" . Another said "it's the first one of the year". My friend on guitar also spoke with the host after they stopped playing. He asked "how come you didn't play until ten", and during the conversation said "let me finish talking" in an unfriendly tone. It was a missed chance to make a positive first impression on two innocent experienced musicians, who were coming to Cable Cafe out of love and passion for music. But the musical host did not project that passion for music when he denied his two bandmates another song - they were positive and still down to play. He said he had to go, but then proceeded to hang around until 10pm... He insisted I should come again next week. You have literally made me NOT want to come again next week. I do not want to come next week because of you! Your bandmates had beautiful souls, yours was somehow broken and missing the point of why we are alive as humans and musicians. I am sorry and saddened by this first impression at Cable Cafe.

13/12/2025: Great atmosphere, but noisy. Most of the seating is on high stools. Excellent service. Limited range with the menu.

08/12/2025: We really enjoyed our meal. The Sunday menu differs fro. The rest of the week, it was a selection of roasted meats and veggies served family style. Everything was delicious. 😋😋

14/11/2025: Says it’s open 9AM-9PM, we arrived about 2PM and it was very closed.

27/10/2025: Stopped here to get a bit of lunch when in Dingle. The club sandwich was to die for! A lovely place.

04/09/2025: Stop in after walking the Dingle Way and it was a very nice place. The owner greeted me and was really nice and helpful. The room had everything you needed. There was a bathroom in the room, the WiFi was fast, and the room and entire hotel was very clean. Felt very welcomed and would stay again.

09/08/2025: Beautiful bnb in the town that gave us one of the greatest arctic explorers the world has ever seen, Tom Crean (awesome hiking audiobook btw). Great accommodation. The full Irish was to die for. Brian even went the extra mile to deliver an item I had left behind to the next bnb in our Dingle Way adventure. Thanks Brian, I’ll be back.
