Smuggler’s Inn
12/03/2025: Attended the sauna area on the weekend of February 3rd 2025, we were greeted by the really friendly owner who allowed us to access the area ahead of our appointment time, it was fantastic, lovely changing and relaxing area with such great views, the hot tub, sauna and ice bath were all included in the cost which was really reasonable. Really enjoyed our time here.

18/03/2025: Carrig House is a beautiful place. The scenery is out of this World, the minute you step inside the door, you get a sense of calm, the beautiful welcome from Claire and Kevin gives permission to switch off from your busy life & let us take care of you! I'd 2 thoroughly enjoyable days at Carrig. The service was impeccable. The food is one of the highlights. We went for a lake view room. So happy we did. Switched my phone off for the entire stay and sat in nature, I listened to the birds from my room while overlooking the lake.Carrig House has been on my destination list for over a decade, finally made it and it exceeded my expectations.

07/01/2025: I had a mashed potato crust, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese pie (or maybe it was a quiche?) while the hubs had the hearty roast beef sandwich.
Hands down, the absolute BEST lunch we could EVER have hoped for! The bread was light and soft-yet toasty in the outside & the potato pie had this buttery type crust that alone would make the most uptight human swoon! I simply cannot say enough about this astounding place. Do not miss it-this is a must stop!! You will leave happy, full, and feel blessed.

16/02/2025: Amazing Last-Minute Catering Service!
We placed a last-minute catering order for my husband’s birthday while staying near Dingle, and the experience was fantastic! They delivered everything hot and delicious, and though we ordered for 10 people, there was more than enough food. Since we’re not from the area and didn’t know where to get a birthday cake, they made exactly what I requested—it was perfect! Overall, 10/10 service. Highly recommend, and if we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely order again. Thank you so much!

17/12/2024: I have worked in the international travel industry for over seven years now and I have to tell you that Teach de Broc is one of my favorite properties anywhere in the world. The staff (family) is truly amazing and everything is top notch. The dinner we had there, the entertainment, the rooms, everything was way above anything I would have imagined for the price we paid. The location is the best you can have for an offsite golf course property. Being right across the street from Ballybunion makes it a perfect spot for the nights before or after your rounds there. Make sue to visit Teach de Broc the next time you are in the Ballybunion area, you won't be let down.
28/08/2024: Call in a week ago when we were passing by after a walk in the beach in Ballybunion. To my surprise it was fantastic lovely food great staff and very reasonable priced 5🌟 all the way. While we were eating we met the owners who were eating also must say there were lovely people. Can't wait to call again.

13/03/2025: Recommend by a chap called Joe. We arrived on a Tuesday evening which was the trad night. What a beautiful little pub. Lovely traditional style decor and a welcoming open fire. Musicians turned up and everyone joined in. Singing traditional Irish songs with such a lovely atmosphere. I had the pub dog sat on my lap and the Landlord was really friendly. Certainly a night we won’t forget.

02/12/2024: The Trunk offers something special that draws you in to order a pizza. The atmosphere, thoughtfully crafted by the owner, is warm and inviting. They’re always ready with excellent recommendations if you need guidance. The preparation is quick, but the final product will make your mouth water. Made with fresh ingredients, served piping hot, and bursting with flavor, the pizzas are simply irresistible. To top it off, the sauces accompanying each slice are equally delicious.
You won’t regret dining here!
13/08/2024: Delicious pizza with vegetables. On request there is also vegan pizza or you can add or omit ingredients. The owner is happy to have a chat with you.

03/04/2025: I had a great experience at this restaurant! The burgers, fries, and soft drinks were excellent, fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. However, the milkshake was a bit disappointing, lacking the richness I expected.
The ambiance is definitely a highlight! The decor is unique and makes the place stand out, creating a fun and inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service tends to be slow, especially when the restaurant is busy. It seems like there’s a lack of organization in managing the staff, which affects the overall experience.
If they improve the service efficiency, this place could easily be a 5-star spot!
