The best restaurants in Kerry

03/09/2026: The food was delicious, especially the soup of the day and the fish soup. The brown bread was one of the best we've ever had, and our waiter, Guillermo, was very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

28/08/2026: Attentive and knowledgeable staff, young but eager to please. The food was very good, I ordered the fish soup. Other friends were also satisfied with their dishes. Good IPA beer. Live music the night we were there. The pub is a generous size, so the atmosphere is a bit lost. But it's easier to find a seat.

16/10/2026: We had a great evening at Kate Kearney’s after a long day of driving. We thoroughly enjoyed the live music and dancing; it was a special memory for sure. Our server was pleasant. The food was decent but not memorable — I would say that we would have been disappointed eating here had there not been the live music and dance at the time. It appears that this is a stop on a bus tour.

14/10/2026: Interesting menu and superb cooking combined with excellent service. Not to be missed in a wonderful location. A lot of thought & effort has gone into producing this and we would highly recommend The Boathouse Bistro….we’ll be back!

30/09/2026: An incredible venue and restaurant. We enjoyed a fantastic day 2 of a wedding here, and I would highly recommend. The atmosphere and setting of the boathouse is perfect, and the service was impeccable!

26/06/2026: Unfortunately we are forced to leave a bad review. When we first arrived, we were seated immediately at a front table by the window, and it seemed like it was going to be a great experience and meal. After we ordered our food and drinks, we were served bread and waited for our appetizers (one caesar salad and three chowders). After about 20 minutes, someone came by to ask us if we wanted another round of drinks and some more bread, to which we passed on the drinks and agreed to the bread. After about another 25 minutes, our server came over to say that the kitchen had overlooked the ticket with our appetizers on it, so it would be another 15 minutes or so until our appetizers arrived. As a family who owns multiple restaurants / is in the industry, we tried to be understanding, as we know what it is like to be a busy restaurant on a Friday night. However, once the appetizers finally arrived, there were fish bones in the chowder, and the soup was unfortunately average. After about another 30 minutes, and our entrees were not anywhere in sight, we asked when we could expect our food and were told “it will be coming out soon”. By this time, we had been at our table for about an hour and 40 minutes, and the manager/bartender offered to buy us a round of drinks to appease us. We passed on the round of drinks and asked when our food could be expected. She told us that it was “being plated just now”. Again, we waited about 15 minutes and our food had not arrived. At this point, we asked for our bill and said we didn’t want to wait for our food anymore. The bartender apologetically brought our check over, while continuing to blame the kitchens error, however, did not comp any of our drinks or appetizers. The whole experience was extremely disappointing and we would not recommend wasting your time, or spending your money here.

26/06/2026: What an amazing dinner we had!! The staff were so very kind and accommodating and let us come in right when they were closing ! All of our dishes were superb and the cocktails !! Fine dining quality in nice casual atmosphere !

21/09/2026: Absolutely exceptional, cosy, right in the heart of Killarney with incredible coffee, great food and welcoming, attentive staff! The service and atmosphere are always a 10/10 , with outdoor seating for the nice sunny days and cosy indoor seating for when you need a lovely hot cup and a meal to hide from the cold It’s clear to see that the owner and all the staff are passionate experts at their craft! If you’re visiting Kerry you absolutely must come here!

10/06/2026: The young staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Felt very safe as a solo-traveler. Food was fantastic! Restaurant was lovely and the view from the breakfast room into the garden was a beautiful way to start the day.

29/05/2026: Lovely service with amazing breakfast. Right beside Glenbeigh village with access to walks and Rossbeigh beach close by. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. Rooms were comfortable and clean

25/10/2026: Food was good, but it wasn’t close to the best curry I’ve had. In my eyes it’s better to focus on 1 cuisine, now i feel none of the recipes are really authentic. Staff was really spot on.

04/09/2026: Sun came out - we sat in their back yard and had the best lunch of our trip. Food was fresh, atmosphere was on point, and service was ultra friendly and fun with our small family.

18/09/2026: Tasty sandwiches, great coffee (oatmilk latte), friendly staff. It’s very small with 4 chairs inside and 4 outside. But we always had a free table by the time the sandwiches were ready. FYI: they stop serving sandwiches half hour before they close.

14/08/2026: Absolutely BEAUTIFUL beef and Guinness stew large enough to share. Made with very clearly fresh and local ingredients (about half a cow and 3 bags of carrots per portion....) Really good service and atmosphere too. Totally recommend.

18/10/2026: We have such a magical music night here. This was maybe pub number 9 in Ireland in our quest for incredible music, and we finally found it here!

13/10/2026: Locals recommended that we come here and they were not wrong. Music started at 10pm and we enjoyed it from our seats in the back.

11/08/2026: A real little French boulangerie, croissant et chocolatine (should we say "pain au chocolat" ;-) ), are really tasty. I have enjoyed the quality.

06/08/2026: Quite an expensive bakery. We ordered two chocolate croissants and a loaf of bread and it cost us 9.80 euros.
