The best restaurants in Kerry

09/07/2026: We had a delicious pizza here last night on our visit to Kerry. A beautiful setting also. Old church and friendly staff. I recommend the pudding pizza

08/07/2026: It could have been 5 stars if: The pizza dough resembled a cheap supermarket tarte flambée dough, and the topping was neither plentiful nor tasty. There are much better frozen pizzas! So, only 2 stars remain: For the location and the friendly service. What a shame!

19/08/2026: The course, clubhouse, and dining room were fantastic. The single solitary reason I'm leaving a 2 star review is because of the caddy that my playing partner had for our round. It was a younger guy named Alec who was the most impersonal and unhelpful caddy we've had in all our rounds while in Ireland. Caddies at all other courses have been absolutely wonderful and cannot say enough positive things about them. At one point I simply asked Alec which way the fairway goes dead into his face and he did not answer. I then said, "are you not going to tell me" to which he then turned his head away. All in our groups tip the caddies anywhere from 20-50euro whether reserved by each player or just a single. Alex turned what should have been an amazing experience into one of disbelief and anger as he is the representative of the club. Bottom line, definitely play the course but ask for alternate caddie if given Alec.

10/08/2026: A beautiful course. Well worth a visit. Top class clubhouse and the food is top class.

25/08/2026: A well stocked supermarket which we used frequently, It opens early and closes late seven days a week. There's a really good selection of local beers. When most cafes are closed on Sunday morning, you can stop off here to buy pastries etc for breakfast (including a coffee to go.) Very good all round; and (I'm told) their car park has to only EV fast charger in the area.

20/07/2026: Great supermarket great staff but the Deli is supposed to be open till 4 was there at 3,30 with other people queuing no staff was told by a staff member it closes at 3 ,

28/08/2026: Decided to stop in Tralee for lunch and came across this lovely spot. Food was Devine, couldn’t have found a better spot!

15/05/2026: Perfect spot for exploring Kerry!!! Chilled out vibes! Cosy communal areas. Beautiful garden! Comfy bed and hot showers! Couldn’t ask for more! Fabulous vibes.

20/08/2026: Stopped off for lunch today passing through Tralee. Food was typical bar food but good. Staff were very polite and helpful. 100€ for 4 mains, 1 dessert and 2 soft drinks, average value but decent portions. Would definitely stop there again.

03/09/2026: The food was delicious, especially the soup of the day and the fish soup. The brown bread was one of the best we've ever had, and our waiter, Guillermo, was very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

28/08/2026: Attentive and knowledgeable staff, young but eager to please. The food was very good, I ordered the fish soup. Other friends were also satisfied with their dishes. Good IPA beer. Live music the night we were there. The pub is a generous size, so the atmosphere is a bit lost. But it's easier to find a seat.

10/07/2026: Both hotel and restaurant are so underrated. I stayed at 6 different hotels while driving through Ireland and this was my favorite accommodation and meal. Had the pleasure of staying in the Orange room. Room was spacious, modernly decorated, and clean. The smart TV with streaming services available was a nice amenity that not a lot of other hotels offered. The breakfast in the mini fridge and the pastries dropped off at night were such a nice touch and so delicious too. Once we arrived, staff guided us to the private parking lot behind the building, helped us settle into our room and fit us into a last minute table at the restaurant. The food was amazing. We ordered from their specials menu and everything tasted so fresh that we devoured all the dishes. I was certainly sad to be just staying for one night as it was the most comfortable stay I had during my trip.

17/06/2026: We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay during our trip to Ireland last month. The room was spacious, clean, & well appointed. We had the opportunity to also dine here on our second evening and our meals were delicious - the best of our trip! The staff was so friendly, including the owner Kate who we ran into on a couple occasions during our stay. The bar tender from Africa was our favorite (sorry, I’m awful with names 🤦🏼‍♀️). Cahersiveen is a special town and was the perfect location to enjoy the Skellig Michael landing tour along with so much natural beauty & friendly locals. Highly recommend both staying & dining here!

26/06/2026: Unfortunately we are forced to leave a bad review. When we first arrived, we were seated immediately at a front table by the window, and it seemed like it was going to be a great experience and meal. After we ordered our food and drinks, we were served bread and waited for our appetizers (one caesar salad and three chowders). After about 20 minutes, someone came by to ask us if we wanted another round of drinks and some more bread, to which we passed on the drinks and agreed to the bread. After about another 25 minutes, our server came over to say that the kitchen had overlooked the ticket with our appetizers on it, so it would be another 15 minutes or so until our appetizers arrived. As a family who owns multiple restaurants / is in the industry, we tried to be understanding, as we know what it is like to be a busy restaurant on a Friday night. However, once the appetizers finally arrived, there were fish bones in the chowder, and the soup was unfortunately average. After about another 30 minutes, and our entrees were not anywhere in sight, we asked when we could expect our food and were told “it will be coming out soon”. By this time, we had been at our table for about an hour and 40 minutes, and the manager/bartender offered to buy us a round of drinks to appease us. We passed on the round of drinks and asked when our food could be expected. She told us that it was “being plated just now”. Again, we waited about 15 minutes and our food had not arrived. At this point, we asked for our bill and said we didn’t want to wait for our food anymore. The bartender apologetically brought our check over, while continuing to blame the kitchens error, however, did not comp any of our drinks or appetizers. The whole experience was extremely disappointing and we would not recommend wasting your time, or spending your money here.

26/06/2026: What an amazing dinner we had!! The staff were so very kind and accommodating and let us come in right when they were closing ! All of our dishes were superb and the cocktails !! Fine dining quality in nice casual atmosphere !

06/09/2026: Just had Hot chocolate but it was delicious and all of the desserts looked wonderful

23/06/2026: Such a disappointing experience with this hotel. Coming from abroad, my brother booked this hotel in error, picking the incorrect county. The booking was made and cancelled on the same date via PayPal. On contacting PayPal they kindly advised that they would do all that they could to help ensure a positive outcome to this issue, following the necessary cancellation, but that it was at the discretion of the hotel. We also helped from our side, and contacted the hotel out of courtesy, and despite the refund being at their discretion they advised that it is their policy not to give refunds to customers during the peak season. This is an incredibly poor way to treat visitors to the country. Mistakes can easily be made particularly when travelling, some common sense and understanding is key when in business. Our family will certainly not be rebooking at this hotel - terrible experience.

16/05/2026: This is a wonderful hotel in a quiet picturesque location s minutes drive from Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. The main building dates from the 1840s and was the priory (I believe) for the beautiful church across the road. We stayed 2 nights in a spacious and spotless room in the new wing behind the main building. The superb staff was extremely professional and attentive - perhaps the best I've ever experienced.
