Rozzers Restaurant
Aghadoe
16/05/2026: This is a wonderful hotel in a quiet picturesque location s minutes drive from Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. The main building dates from the 1840s and was the priory (I believe) for the beautiful church across the road. We stayed 2 nights in a spacious and spotless room in the new wing behind the main building. The superb staff was extremely professional and attentive - perhaps the best I've ever experienced.
19/04/2026: Excellent hotel, in a great location with really good food and friendly staff.

Murphy Brownes
Killarney
18/05/2026: Seeing the restaurant's rave reviews, and having had an absolutely awful day, I was thrilled when a table became available. I'd barely sat down for a few minutes, while still on a voice call to my parents to recount my day, when the waiter rushed me to order because, and I quote, "there are people waiting outside." The implication was that I needed to hurry up and choose (and frankly, as if I cared that people were waiting outside?). I came here to relax, but this is off to a bad start…
The food and beer arrived quickly, and thankfully, they were pretty good. But I'd barely finished my last fry when my plate was whisked away. And the bill was brought right after. Like, way too fast, almost like I was being rushed out the door. I still had to ask the waiter if I could finish my beer…
I'm going to conclude that it's perhaps (I hope) a misunderstanding and a cultural difference (whereas in France, time in a restaurant is sacred because we're there to savor and enjoy ourselves) and not a purely profit-driven approach to rushing service, which would be offensive to a customer.
29/04/2026: Very decent food though a bit pricey. Especially liked the fish chowder and lamb shank. Fish and chips was OK.
Service is good.

The Coffee Pot
17/05/2026: Too expensive for the quality and taste. Paid 25 euros for 2 coffees and two small pastries.
Felt like a tourist trap.
14/05/2026: Stopped for cappuccinos and pie after our hike. Lovely, helpful people and delicious pie and coffee. Thank you for the hospitality.

The Tankard
09/06/2026: We recently had a pre-wedding meal in The Tankard with 34 of our family and friends. The welcome we received, the kind and friendly staff and of course, delicious food were second to none. Couldn't recommend it more, a top class restaurant.
01/06/2026: Good selection of quality seafood and non sea food. Lovely sea view. Good table service.

Porterhouse
Killarney
13/06/2026: Great food (and really great mocktails) here. Was a bit disappointed with the service, as staff were more concerned with talking amongst themselves than trying at all to connect with guests.
12/06/2026: We had an awesome meal at this unique bar/pub/restaurant for our final night in Ireland. The inside is totally unique-all the seating is divided up into tiny rooms or booths so it feels VERY private and cozy. We had a view to the front street so also good people watching.
The menu has lots of inventive twists on the classic Irish pub menu. We started with the warm garlic bread with Brie and honey-delicious and sticky (bit they give you wet wipes). We also tried their version of a wedge salad which was fine but pales a bit when Compared to its American cousin. The real standout for uniqueness was the 7 oz filet served at the table on an 800 degree stone. It comes out seared in the kitchen on the stone so you can then finish it to your liking (hint: slice it to make things easier and faster). The steak came with several sides including patatas bravas, onion rings and more and at €46 was a decent deal.
We shared all the courses and it was plenty of food. The modest wine list has several by the glass options but no real standouts. Glasses come in Two sizes. I REALLY enjoyed the smoked old fashioned drink with earthy woodsmoke trapped then released from the glass at the table.
It’s a bit tough on the servers-the layout-as it is harder to keep an eye on your customers so expect service to feel a little off/leisurely.
A great time and a fun spot right in the heart of Killarney. Highly recommended.

Tralee
03/06/2026: Very good, although a bit far from the city centre.
01/06/2026: I can’t give enough starts for the meadowlands and their staff. Exceptionally clean, comfortable and welcoming. Great food and lovely bar. Highly recommend to anyone.

Kingdom 1795
Killorglin
30/04/2026: We don't think this is the best restaurant in Kilorglin, we think it's the best restaurant in Ireland!
Beautiful, carefully prepared, subtle and gorgeous food, top quality ingredients, lovely service, excellent wine. What a gem!! Well worth it in every way.
29/03/2026: We’ve visited last Saturday and oh my god it was absolutely the best dining experience we’ve had while visiting Kerry. The goats cheese ravioli starter was the best starter I have ever had so good. The beef course was outstanding, great quality meat and full of flavour in every bite. The forced rhubarb dessert alone is worth taking a trip here. I only wish I took more photos but it was impossible to wait before trying it all! I will definitely be back if I’ll be visiting Kerry again! Thank you for such a lovely evening!

Lagom Restaurant & Accommodation Kenmare
Kenmare
08/10/2025: The Lagom Townhomes is a fantastic place to stay. Nice views, big and clean room, friendly and delightful host (Brandon), easy parking, excellent bathroom, perfect location, and tasty breakfast (and exquisite dinner). At dinner, the short rib was amazing. We look forward to coming back soon!
30/09/2025: Fancy restaurant, one star removed for asking for a tip.

Smuggler’s Inn
08/06/2026: Excellent all round. Great staff and room/views and food.
05/06/2026: While travelling the Wild Atlantic way we stopped here to have one night of stay before our excursion to Skellig Michael. The hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful spots on the ring of Kerry. Direct access to the beach where we were able to make this picture at sunset. The food they serve is amazing. The best oysters I had to date! And wonderful staff. A destination on its own.

RusticBoowa
Tralee
22/05/2026: My wife and I had a great time today (May 2026) at Rustic Boowa. We found this place via Google Map as one of the recommended brunch places, and there was absolutely no regret coming here. The food (the soup and the stew) was delicious and we also had açai and carrot cake for desserts. Coffee was also good. It was so good that we bought some salad, quiche, and bread for our dinner too. We also bought their granola/muesli to bring back to Singapore as well. Highly recommended if you want to eat healthy. Cheers! Nb. They also sell a bunch of food from Poland as the owners are Polish!
02/05/2026: good coffee place. very tasty baked products

The Mad Monk by Quinlans
Killarney
12/06/2026: Had a wonderful dining experience. The fish was cooked perfectly — absolutely no complaints. The staff were very polite, attentive, and made us feel very welcome.
I would highly recommend the pan-roasted fillet of hake, the pan-roasted fillet of sea bass, and the wild Atlantic squid. Each dish was excellently cooked, full of flavour, and the squid in particular was tender with no chew at all, which is not easy to get right.
Overall, a fantastic meal and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
09/06/2026: Sticky toffee pudding was absolutely delicious. Sea bass risotto was excellent. And the fried calamari with sweet chilli jam was a star. 5 stars all around!!

Kate Kearney's Cottage
24/05/2026: The atmosphere is very authentic, and the service is lovely. However, I'd only give the food 3 out of 5 stars because I didn't find the portion size justified by the price. Otherwise, it's a highly recommended stop on the way to the Black Valley.
22/05/2026: My husband and I biked through the Gap of Dunloe before stopping here for lunch last week. We happened to arrive right around the same time as many students on an end of school year trip. The staff handled the huge influx of customers efficiently. It was impressive. The soup I had was one of the best soups I've ever eaten. Thanks to everyone at Kate Kearney's Cottage!

Flesk
Killarney
17/05/2026: The best mussels I’ve ever had … didn’t know that mussels can be soooo tasty & omg … the duck was amazing ! The skin was crispy & the meat was full of flavor ! And of course the steak … perfectly done … probably the best meal in all of Ireland ❤️💚
05/05/2026: We had a very nice meal here. The food was wonderful, and the staff was accommodating, even though we showed up on a Saturday night with no reservation during the rally of the lakes. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a nice dinner, but probably not the place to go if you're out for drinks, it was definitely a nicer atmosphere
