24/03/2024: I did not stay at the hotel but I took my elderly mother to the special Mother's Day lunch on March 10th 2024 and it was a really wonderful experience. It was extremely busy but the standard of service was exceptional. We were first looked after by Harry who treated my mum like royalty and found us a lovely table where we were then served by the equally excellent and professional Kevin. It really was lovely to experience such wonderful customer care. Everything else was also top notch. The food was delicious, the speed of service on such a busy day was very impressive and the ambiance and decor were gorgeous in a beautiful light filled setting overlooking the garden. And all at excellent value for money. Well done Ballygarry, you do Tralee hospitality proud! I can't wait to go back.

23/03/2024: I put 5stars as the food was great, nice pints, warm and cosy and nicely decorated. However, note to staff, the man with the tattoos was downright rude. We left no tip which goes totally against my grain. No please, no thanks, dishes plonked infront of us. I thought maybe he just took a dislike to us but he was the same to the next table. Hugely off putting and an awful way to treat people, never mind paying customers

22/03/2024: Great restaurant in a very good location and with a beautiful view of the harbor. The stew is simply fantastically delicious and highly recommended. The service is quick and friendly and there is a very good daily menu showcasing what the fishermen have caught. Great!

03/04/2024: The manager and waitress were very helpful! The chicken parmigiana was very good as well as the vegetable soup with brown bread! Good place to go, we recommend!

29/03/2024: While shooting a wedding here recently, I had dinner in the bar and it was one of the best curries I have ever had. The flavour was amazing, the gentle hint of fresh chilli and ginger made the dish phenomenal. My colleague had the Bangers and Mash and he absolutely loved it. Along with that, the service was brilliant, our server (a gentleman, sorry I don't know his name) was professional but lighthearted and funny and it made the overall experience really enjoyable. Must pop back here soon with my wife for a meal. Well done all.

19/03/2024: Lovely welcome by staff.Huge log fire in the bar.Bedroom was beautiful.Barfood was amazing great portions.Deserts were gorgeous.Breakfast was great and plenty of choices.Beautyfull breakfast room overlooking the garden.Staff were brilliant.

01/04/2024: Randels Hotel Killarney A beautiful experience, Great location a short walk to the centre of town. Staff are wonderful and their attention to detail is incredible. 10/10 to all of the staff 👋 we will definitely book again.

01/04/2024: Stunning hotel. The interior design is amazing, completly different to what hotels would look like usually. Staff were friendly and the pizza was the best I've ever had! Billy from the pool was so kind and nice to us. Looked after us, made sure we were comfortable in the sauna and steam room. He asked us if we wanted him to turn the heat up or down and asked if we would like some more eucalyptus added. He brought us extra towels and advised us to let him know if we needed anything else. The room in the town house was fantastic. Massive! Great value for money. The room had a walk in wardrobe shower AND jacuzzi bath. It was a great surprise. The bed was also massive with a stunning big window leaving in a lot of natural light. A lovely little touch was the chocolate bunnies left at reception for guests and the cool flavoured fruit water in the hall after a nice swim and sauna. The only faults of the stay were: -the bathroom in our room. The toilet when flushed, the pipes after were SO loud and went on for around 10 minutes which resulted in us not flushing during the night fear as waking the room next door! It sounded like construction workers were in doing work! -the jacuzzi bath, however a nice little surprise, the jets were very weak you might as well have just been in a bath. I would highly recommend this hotel. Its stunning, and the location is great. I will definitely be back.

20/03/2024: We were so blessed to experience this restaurant. We knew it was pricey, and a local couple confirmed the value! We never mind paying for a fine experience when they live up to it. Solas far exceeded our expectations with their food, service and the atmosphere. I’m not a great food photographer, but here you have it! I had the mackerel tartlets, and skitaki croquettes. My husband had the lamb kebabs, that he still dreams about and a tortilla with mushrooms. Scallops are my all time love and often go to choice. So I thought I had room for more and ordered them. We had a break in the action because we all got up for the Saint Patrick’s Day parade. Which came right past us. By time the scallops arrived, I was full. BUT THEY WERE INCREDIBLE! It was my dessert! Which we would have ordered. My husband was full as well. I would recommend 2 dishes each. And of course dessert! If we have time we’ll be back for sure!

13/03/2024: A Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant that deserving of that title 100%. Each dish especially oyster and scallop ceviche was so fresh and beautifully executed. Each plate presented itself with burst of flavor and uniqueness. Highly recommend to get onboard the palate adventure here at Solas.
