The best restaurants in Kerry

11/11/2025: My family and I have been going here for 3 or 5 years now , since we have been camping in wave crest the campsite beside this restaurant and camping area . The service has changed to always being rushed and we are always told before we head to our seats that we need the table back at this time . This cuts the mood , the food has been good but not up until this year the food for me on the menu hasn’t changed. You want something to catch you off guard like a sensation that’s bursting with flavour in your mouth that will make you hungry for more . The food is bland and tastes the same , they don’t add new flavours or experiment with new textures . The atmosphere is what you expect from a pub , everyone is lively and having fun with each other while drinking a pint or two . The service is poor there’s not that many staff there when you want to ask for something and if you did ask for something it would be a while until they get back to you .

27/10/2025: BEWARE OF CLAMPING OF CARS This is a nice place. The food looked good. We enjoyed the views, atmosphere etc. Lovely pint of Guinness…. That being said I would advise people to beware of the parking situation here…. I saw a couple of cars yesterday had been clamped. There was a “no parking” sign yes — but nothing more. I saw a few cars had parked there and they were clamped. There are no warning signs for the public warning of ‘clamping in operation’, no release fee stated, no phone number stated, no parking management company name stated etc etc… I wonder how legal this type of practice is, and I wonder how many tourists have been swindled out of a few quid, and were perhaps too polite or too embarrassed to argue it? There should be better signage erected. People need to be aware of the consequences of parking illegally in such a remote area of the country. There is no fairness about this practice in my opinion.

20/01/2026: Had my Uncle Malcoms wake here and cannot fault the service received. Food was delicious. Great atmosphere! Clean toilet facilities. Friendly staff.

04/01/2026: This restaurant was a true surprise! I’m vegan my partner isn’t and we were visiting for the day. They have both a vegan and non-vegan menu! I was blown away with the selection from a burger to a vegan steak! They are also one of the few places that offer multiple plant-based desserts! The food was incredible, we both loved it and will be back. The staff were also so friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was lovely as well, there is a lot of history and a true Irish Gem! We felt really lucky to find this place and will be visiting again!

08/11/2025: Was redirected to patcheens after attempting foleys which stopped food for the season. Very glad it came recommended so we didnt have yo go all the way into dingle proper for a meal. Great cozy atmosphere, some table games for kids, tvs around to show the game, delicious pizza and wings! And top notch service 👌 you can also carry out cans as they have a off license attached. Tucked away in a sleepy quiet town but very much worth a stop in if looking for good atmosphere and delicious grub

27/08/2025: A great pub to add to your list to visit in anascaul, lovely food on offer and good quirky decor. Not as big as some but plenty of seating areas.

25/09/2025: The seafood chowder was rich with lots of seafood in a tasty base The servers were very nice and efficient

03/09/2025: Nice place to have different types of food. We had chicken wings as starter that were marinated with hoisin sauce (Asian style) and we had the mussels in Asian style - also really delicious!

21/12/2025: First time in Harrow restaurant and won’t be the last. The minute you walk in the door the atmosphere hits you. The food was top class and the staff were amazing.

21/11/2025: Cocktails out of the gate were incredibly high quality. Food was fantastic, and attention to detail from the staff was second to none.

08/10/2025: The Lagom Townhomes is a fantastic place to stay. Nice views, big and clean room, friendly and delightful host (Brandon), easy parking, excellent bathroom, perfect location, and tasty breakfast (and exquisite dinner). At dinner, the short rib was amazing. We look forward to coming back soon!

06/12/2025: Haven eaten in many Michelin starred/mentioned restaurants, the food in the Yew Tree is of almost/arguably of the same caliber, top class.

28/11/2025: This is a great hotel, in a great location in the town. I stayed in a newly refurbished room and it was very modern and comfortable. The adjoining restaurant had a very large menu with plenty of variety, and the food was excellent. The staff were very accomodating, packing my dinner into a take out bag (with a bonus desert) to take back to my room. My stay this time was for business and I will be returning here for my next trip and any leisure stays in the future.

04/10/2025: Nice, older hotel. The hotel has seen better days; the rooms are functional and clean. There's no elevator, but you can have your luggage brought up to your room and back down again. Friendly staff. The breakfast was a bit odd; rolls were counted, and if you wanted more, you were given toast. The selection wasn't great either. But it's fine for a short stay; the location is very central.

19/12/2025: Religiously have the garlic mushrooms, carbonara and sticky toffee pudding and always 10/10. They also fill up the wine glasses to the brim. All for about €35. Couldn’t recommend it enough

21/01/2026: Dear Management, I am writing to formally complain about an inappropriate and uncomfortable experience I had today while dining for Lunch at The Laurels Pub. During my meal, a waitress repeatedly questioned me.. wanting to know about my personal and private matters, including where I live and exactly where I work. This information was not volunteered, and the questioning was unsolicited, persistent, and intrusive. Her manner was not friendly or conversational; it was pushy, rude, and crossed clear professional boundaries. Why do I need to give her my whole life story in order to eat my lunch? Customers should be able to enjoy a meal at your tables without being pressured to disclose personal details. Questioning a customer about their private home or workplace when such conversation is neither invited nor appropriate is unacceptable and made me feel sufficiently uncomfortable that I left without ordering dessert or a drink. (She was very thin with Blonde hair, foreign I think) This experience has significantly affected my view of your establishment, and I am unlikely to return as a result. I expect that staff will be reminded of appropriate conduct and customer boundaries so that others do not have a similar unfortunate experience.
