26/07/2024: Got an amazing chicken burger meal in Hillbilly’s takeaway on Monday. The crunchy coating on the burger was soo tasty whatever spices they use, amazing flavour 😍 and chips n large drink. The friendly guy serving was pleasant and smiling, really welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back again for more 💯%

10/08/2024: Lovely meal and lovely staff. It wasn’t packed but it had a constant takeaway and done in business. Prices are very fair and food was great. We’d a family of five and ate for under 60 euro

22/06/2024: Just had a lovely salad today. Usually have a wrap or similar. Food is always fresh and prepared to a high standard. I personally do not like the way the cutlery comes tightly wrapped in a napkin which has been sealed with a drop of water. Staff are always cheerful and engaging. I now accidentally, on purpose, forget to eat before going grocery shopping so I have to drop in for a bite 😀 21-June-'24: Got takeaway. Food still really good. However, ordered 1 x Chicken Chorizo and 2 x Chili Chicken wrap. Got home 15-min later to find I had been given 2 x Chicken Chorizo. Unfortunately, someone went without lunch as they totally dislike Chorizo 👎

31/10/2024: The food was AMAZING, the portions were the Perfect size and the service was very friendly and nice. They refilled our prawn crackers as mamy times as we wanted. Definitely recommend.

18/09/2024: Called in as my wife and I wanted to try somewhere different for our dinner. Glad we did because it turned out to be a pleasant experience. Food was delicious I had chicken chow mane and my wife had sweet & sour chicken, which both enjoyed. Our host was very friendly and only too happy to share his recipe tips when he discovered how much of a food I was. If we are ever passing through Bundoran again, I would definitely call in again to sample some more the menu.

27/10/2024: My Family Just Got A Meat Meal Deal For A Bank Holiday weekend The Delivery Driver Is Very Friendly And Kind The Pizza, Cookies and The Dippers Was Delicious But The Wedges Are Very Spicy. We Would Order This Again.

06/11/2024: The food is mediocre, I had the special slow roasted beef and seasonal veg: the veg was rock hard and the beef very much microwaved. We had the wings to start and again they were very much microwaved. Staff lovely… food NOT good

05/10/2024: I've been dying for an excuse to try out The Thatch since it reopened recently, and with 3 friends in town for the fiddle festival what better excuse? The Thatch is a beautiful building, in the beautiful town of Glenties, and the restaurant itself has been very tastefully renovated. On our arrival the downstairs area was at capacity, so we were seated upstairs, which was also quite busy. The menu in The Thatch was fab. I don't eat meat so I was immediately drawn to the fish and vegetarian options, as was my significant other. There certainly was plenty of choice. I opted to have a caesar salad to start and the vegetable risotto with prawns. The salad was lovely, but the risotto was superb. Risotto can be very rich and claggy, but this had a really perfect balance of rice to sauce and the vegetables were perfectly al dente, which, to my mind, is always the sign of a chef that knows their onions. The additional prawns were also plentiful. My wife had the sea bass and our friends the bacon and cabbage and seafood pie. Everything was thoughtfully presented and very tasty even down to the side salad with the sea bass. I often find dessert menus to be quite hit or miss but The Thatch definitely has a hit on their hands. I was torn between 3 or 4 winner desserts, but opted for the poached pear and carrageen moss panna cotta. My wife opted for the cinnamon French toast and butterscotch ice cream. Both desserts were delicious and I'll be giving the poached pear dish a lash at home myself. So a big thanks to all involved at The Thatch for a very pleasant evening. This is a great menu that I could happily return to time and again. And I look forward to doing just that.

14/09/2024: For a Friday night it was dead. Only a few people in. I'd one drink then left.

11/07/2024: Weekday touring Buncrana and stopped in for a quick pint as an out of towner. The place was spotless and the bartender was quick to give me service. Nice spot and would visit again.

24/10/2024: I was pleasantly surprised, large portions, excellent service, we were the whole family, me and our small children. They heated up the food for us several times, poured hot tea. Very tasty.

09/10/2024: Great breakfast - keep up the standard

18/10/2024: We had a great lunch here and we were allowed to bring our dog in. They only have a couple of tables that are dog friendly, but it was a very short wait and well worth it. Highly recommend.
