The best restaurants in Donegal

25/09/2025: Food is delicious. Probably the best Chinese in town and in the whole area. Only problem is they don't take cards, but if you have cash it's the best place you can order food.

02/08/2025: Omg this restaurant don't go ok first service,when i entered the mat is sticky?my feat had stickyness then at the register the girl who is Chinese is almost impossible to understand what she's saying and INCREDIBLY RUDE! she has dead no interest in you at all and when you collect your food she asks what i ordered "I ordered chi-" she's gone comes back with bag,what else you want "salt" gives me 2 pieces of the little salts,and she almost doesn't understand you too I say "I want a fanta,club orange,water please"she goes to fridge right behind her and asks again fanta clu-? And looks at me???And the cherry on top she forgot one of my orders only the food is nice when you first eat it,then a few minutes after you'll feel sick i mean I do not recommend!! I don't know what's with these five star review?

27/10/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. Staff were friendly and welcoming and atmosphere was cosy and ambient. Great selection of background music, not too loud. Food was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. We both had starters and a main and we were not disappointed. A lovely Sunday evening in Carrigart 😊

23/08/2025: Sadly a very disappointing experience. Ordered a roasted butternut squash risotto. What I got was rice in cream and cheese with carrots, potatoes, courgettes, peppers, onions. Vegetables were steamed not roasted. Extremely odd!

05/04/2026: Food was very nice, but i ordered curry sauce as a side and have to say I was shocked and annoyed at what i got. A container of what looked like cooking oil with curry sauce fired into it! The oil and curry separate into a congealed mess. Def put me off getting a curry there again.

23/03/2026: Best Thai Food I have had since I left Australia!!!!! Was absolutely divine. Thank you so much for your lovely service. The banter was great, and I think I could have ordered any single thing off your menu and I would have enjoyed it. Highly Recommend!!!

05/01/2026: I bought chicken and prawn fried rice a week ago, the chicken was really bad tasting. I really doubt that was out of date meat they use.

12/05/2026: Very good food. My favorite is the Sweet Chili Wrap, where the chicken meat is amazing — it can easily be around for even 2 weeks 😋. And even better is the cold deli section, where the eggs and butter can easily be sitting there for a month. That’s the highest quality of all properly aged products, sometimes reprocessed twice when the expiration date is close. And what’s even better is the dressing, which can last for half a year, but of course it has to be used! And I almost forgot about that excellent oven, where chemicals are sprayed on it and not properly washed off afterward, and then it keeps being used further. Chemicals meant for removing heavy buildup and burnt food residues so you can imagine what happens to your skin on contact

11/04/2026: Doesn't allow dogs in the bar but you can sit outside with them. Pub food are plentiful portion size so you won't be hungry afterwards!

24/03/2026: I Had Chicken Nuggets and Chips From Roses Bar In Cresslough. The Staff Is So Friendly and It Has A Pub and Restaurant. I Would Order Here Again.

17/09/2025: A great place for fresh seafood with a few gluten-free options. Jealous of my sister’s fish taco but the crab and avocado sandwich on gluten free bread was great. The unexpected find of a bit of cling film in my sandwich was quickly rectified by their gracious staff. Accidents happen. Highly recommend.

18/04/2026: Went to the restaurant yesterday 17 April 2026 after a day away and checked the app for opening hours as I wanted to sit in. App says open until 8pm and when I went to go in at 6.55pm the young lad had the place closed and seats already up on top of the tables. He said the sit in closes at 7pm. I pointed out it was 6.55pm as I had a couple of kids with me and didnt want take out. Let me in very reluctantly and made me sit for nearly 30mins waiting when others came in after me as he left the door open and got served before I did 😡. If a place says 8pm or 7pm well stay open until that time . Other lad unlocked the door when i was leaving just threw me and my girls dirty looks no thanks come again just your holding me back here. If ya dont wanna work there find another job there's plenty out there 🤷‍♂️

06/04/2026: We went recently and the staff was ok but when we got are food it was a bit cold the chips were really salty and the chicken was a bit stale . I went to the toilet afterwards and the toilet was blocked and the atmosphere was like a graveyard. Would Not Recommend.

26/02/2026: I’m telling you now. If you’re in letterkenny, head straight to k2. You’ll not find a more atmospheric place, along with cheap pricing and brilliant food. Your man at the counter loves the craic and the prices actually cannot be beaten all over Ireland (being 100% genuine here). Will always be 5/5 for me anyway.

17/12/2025: My fiancée, myself and our 2 friends had a lovely meal together at a very reasonable price. We went with the midweek offer, 2 course meal deal with pint/glass of wine €25. Everyone was very happy with their pastas, pizzas, focaccia, chicken wings. I even made a special request which I was more than satisfied with - I had been waiting 10 years for someone to grant my wish - Calzone Bolognaise not at all easy to make but it was beautiful. Very friendly service and very obliging. We have been before and we will definitely be back. Zezze’s are doing all the right things and I wish them the very best going forward. Also very nicely decorated for Christmas 🎄

27/01/2026: I'd never eat out of this place again🤮🤮 Yer man was making my burger and the one half the bun fell on the floor,He picked it up and was gonna put it on the burger but i was watching him and then he started acting all apologetic,Discusting..imagine if he put the bun on the burger..absolutley discusting this place should be shut down!!

24/04/2026: Had One of Costa Coffee's Winter Turkey Sandwiches 🥪 with a Nice Pot of Tea, The Sandwich was nicely Toasted and I would recommend Costa Coffee as a Good place to Eat in at. No Change still good to eat at, I just recently had a chicken and chorizo flatbread there with tea and some water and a good quick service. Tried a New Chicken and Pepperoni Bagel 🥯 In an updated visit. The Place is still Good 👍 👍 Still Recommended.
