The best restaurants in Donegal

11/11/2025: This is an excellent eatery in Letterkenny. Good fresh and wholesome food served by efficient staff. The owner Martin came and talked to us at the table and told a few “jokes”. I ended up having 2 americanos. We will be back for more - food and entertainment.

18/01/2026: Me and my wife booked for a night away after Xmas and was first greeted by the most friendly man on reception then went to our room and room key wouldn’t work but within 10mins sorted, went to. The bar for dinner and drinks which was absolutely gorgeous couldn’t fault anything staff were brilliant then after as the entertainment started was asked by a lovely lady if we wanted a glass of bubble for the fault with our room key which was a lovely touch, room was beautiful one complaint was too warm (not a bad complaint) lovely stay will definitely return

25/10/2025: Really love the coffee from there, very tasty, also the milk they used, I don't know the brand but was very good as well, super creamy. The scrambled eggs were super tasty a well and my boyfriend for the Irish breakfast and he said it was wonderful, specially the beans and the mushrooms. Staff was super gentle, the girl who served was was very gentle and service is very fast.

01/01/2026: Idyllic location, very tidy rooms, friendly and helpful staff/service, hearty well cooked food in the restaurant and a lively/fun bar for new years eve. Highly recommend

27/10/2025: A very homely wee cafe. Eggs Benedict was very good and arrived very quickly. Service was friendly and fast. Couldn't ask for more at these very reasonable prices.

18/09/2025: Have a Good day everyone! Looking for a place to eat deliciously and have a great time? Everything here is simple, yet interesting, and most importantly, heartwarming! The cooks, waiters, and staff do a very difficult and routine job so that even the smallest bread crumbs taste incredible. Thank you for your hard work, which earns us respect and a desire to return again! You can bring your pets here, and you don't have to worry about anything else. Yes, you can use Aldi's parking, but that's not a minus, but rather a plus! Overall, it's a very good place. I recommend it!

03/10/2025: I stayed in the hotel for one night , the rooms are fantastic and the restaurant serves great food , they have free car parking also you can park on street outside front door, the staff are very friendly and helpful, I highly recommend this hotel, 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

07/09/2025: A nice hotel right in the heart of Letterkenny. Everyone we came across were nice, and the room was nice as well. There was enough parking while we were there, and they have an underground parking area as well.

11/10/2025: The mussels were the best I’ve ever had! The warm goat cheese salad was sooooo good! The staff was OK. Didn’t check on you after food was delivered. The view of the beach was lovely.

07/01/2026: This was our first time in this area and restaurant. We arrived in early January so expected to be quiet, we arrived shortly after opening, very welcoming and friendly. Food was really quick and they were very attentive. Food was really good, extensive menu, particularly for someone quite fussy with food. Real home cooked style feel which we love. Definitely be back if back in the area, highly recommend.

19/09/2025: I had such a great experience ! The burger was fresh and delicious, full of flavour, and the shawarma was juicy and so yummy. My son is usually very picky with food, but even he loved it .and that says a lot! The whole family enjoyed the meal. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend! The best think I like as mom ,the kitchen and the shop is very clean, normally I do t eat outside but I really love to eat or order from here 😁

15/07/2025: Hello. We’d like to share our disappointing experience at your café. We approached a staff member (not sure if they were a cashier or a waiter) to ask about the price of the tiramisu. Unfortunately, they didn’t know and just ran off saying “one moment” — we ended up waiting for about three minutes while they were gone. Eventually, they came back and told us it was €3 for a portion of tiramisu served in a plastic container, around 200 grams. Sadly, the dessert was very disappointing: it was hard in texture, had an overpowering smell of alcohol, and the taste was unpleasant — we couldn’t finish it and had to throw it away. Moreover, no one told us if we were allowed to sit anywhere, so we ended up eating on a worn-out bench in the shopping centre. We also had to ask for spoons separately. Overall, there was no proper service and the quality of the food was extremely poor.
