25/05/2026: My first time ever coming into Luca’s and was looking for a pizza, two pizzas were ordered to our table and everything was good until the food arrived. I am in no way a pizza fanatic or know much about pizza but can undoubtedly say this was the worst pizza I’ve ever had, firstly the pizza comes uncut and once you’ve finished cutting your slice you go to lift it and all of your toppings fall off of the slice, the tomato base has a really watery texture and taste, toppings also tasted bland and undistinguished, I can not judge the place on just its pizza that is why I have rated the food a 3/5 but in saying that an attempt like this for an Italian restaurant for an Italian dish is not a great sign!

12/07/2026: I never expected to leave a bad review to Kate’s but I have to be honest about my experience. I have lived in Sligo for 3 years and I work nonstop and am always really busy. So if I find some time to pop into Kate’s Kitchen to grab a cup of coffee, a delicious premade wrap or yogurt, and browse around I’m usually delighted to do so. Although, every time I have ordered my regular flat white with oat milk I’m having to wait for my coffee longer than the people who ordered after me and every time I gave my name and spelled it and the barista pronounces wrong. Usually when people pronounce my name wrong it doesn’t bother me but if people are getting their orders before me when I have ordered and paid for my order before them it is extremely annoying. I popped in yesterday to order my regular coffee and said my name is spelled “Zo” and when the male barista with glasses called out my order he read it, rolled his eyes and called for “Zoey”. You can say this was the last annoying thing I can actually take from this place cause I hoped my experience would get better each time but it didn’t. As much as I used to like going to Kate’s I think I have to stop going as I am tired of coming here thinking it’s a treat for myself and being treated like a subpar customer every time. And for 3 years this has been my experience.

10/06/2026: We are local to the area and visit Paradise approx twice a month. The food is always tasty and delicious. Portions are just right. The staff are warm and friendly. Always professional. I believe we are truly blessed to have such a great restaurant in town. See you soon. Karen

06/04/2026: The best Indian restaurant and takeaway in Donegal, and one of the best restaurants in Ballybofey generally! Well worth a wee visit, if you're a fan of Indian food, or have never tried it before, the staff are excellent at guiding diners to a dish that they'll love!

19/04/2026: Lovely place for food. Good menu. I travel with a very fussy ex-chef but even he is impressed! Never had a bad meal there. Love the atmosphere and ambience too.

15/03/2026: The bar was really busy but we got a table with not much of a wait. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was delicious will definitely be returning. 👌

30/06/2026: Recently visited for lunch. Very disappointed with selection for a light lunch and the only thing I could see was the home made sausage roll so I thought it would be like a gourmet version that you can order in a lot of cafes … oh was I wrong. What arrived at the table was an anemic looking sausage roll - something like a mini hotdog wrapped in a piece of puff pastry that hadn’t been cooked properly. When staff asked if everything was okay he wasn’t interested in what we had to say. Needless to say I doubt we will be back anytime soon.

24/06/2026: Wow. First time here and we loved it so much we ate there 3 times over 3 days. Breakfast, lunch (takeaway) and dinner. Every meal exceptional - fresh and plenty. Staff professional yet VERY friendly. When we're back at Downings we'll DEF be calling again. Loved it!
