28/08/2025: Really good Chinese food. Slightly different menu than other places, which is a pleasant change. Nice flavour to the food, good prices and really quick service. Had my food served piping hot in 6 mins, impressive.

20/02/2026: Had a lovely meal here this evening with my four kids. Great selection on the menu and good options on the kids menu, not just the usual nuggets and chips and sausages and chips. Portions were generous.Everything was very tasty. The plates were cleared, great sign and the desserts were lovely. Staff very friendly and efficient, nice atmosphere with soccer and darts on the large screens. Would recommend .

20/02/2026: Was up a few weeks ago for a collect, unfortunately there was a mixup on my part and ordered to the wrong friars, but the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful decided to remake it there after confirming the order with the other takeaway. Have to say absolutely credit to the place having such great staff! Be back just for them!

01/04/2026: I went for afternoon tea and time at the wellness center as did my wife. The owner, Mr, Molloy is a class individual and was most gracious and hospitable and made us feel immediately welcomed. His family have spent considerable time, effort, and money remodeling and it’s come out incredibly. The spa facilities are amazing - outdoor and indoor - as are the staff. I’ll definitely be back next time in Co Donegal area.

12/02/2026: Great restaurant with excellent food and service. Couldn't be more complementary about the staff here. They were so attentive and friendly. The food was of a high standard, with the goats cheese and scallops starters being a particular highlight for us. Whilst it is an expensive menu, it absolutely delivers.

06/01/2026: I recently attended a corporate event at Lough Eske, and it turned out to be a genuinely memorable day in a setting that feels both luxurious and warmly Irish 🌿✨. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and the venue had that calm, polished atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in good hands. We were served a set menu, and the selection was surprisingly impressive for a large group. For starters, we had a choice between a classic vol-au-vent — buttery, flaky, and filled with a rich, savoury mix — or a cream of vegetable soup that was smooth, comforting, and perfect for the season. You could tell the kitchen puts real care into even the simplest dishes. For the mains, the options catered to every taste: Roast Hereford sirloin of Irish beef, tender and full of flavour Traditional turkey and ham, beautifully carved and festive Baked fillet of Atlantic salmon, cooked just right with a lovely freshness Although the service took a little longer than expected ⏳, especially between courses, it honestly felt worth the wait once the food arrived. Everything tasted freshly prepared rather than rushed, which I appreciated — quality over speed any day. Dessert was the highlight for many of us: the Best Ever Castle Festive Plate. It lived up to its name 🎄🍮 — a generous, indulgent selection that felt like a celebration on a plate. The perfect sweet ending. Outside, the car park was spacious, easy to navigate, and well laid out, with plenty of room even during a busy event. I also noticed the wheelchair-accessible spaces and pathways, which is always reassuring to see — accessibility done properly makes a big difference 🚗♿. Overall, Lough Eske delivered a polished, enjoyable experience with great food, a beautiful setting, and thoughtful facilities. Despite the slightly slower service, the quality made it worthwhile. I’d happily return for another event or even a relaxing meal — it’s the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression 🌟.

13/04/2026: Lovely food and Guinness. Nice decor and good value for money. A few of the staff could do with a ‘good people skills awareness course’ for beginners. They look a bit lifeless

09/02/2026: I have edited this review due to the initial review being written after some drinks. I felt it was a bit more of a rant than a constructive review. We didn’t have food so can’t review that aspect. Our first night was a good experience. We stayed for around an hour and had a couple of drinks which were nice, then went around a few other bars. A good experience. Second night we arrived to a very pleasant manager at the door, however once we sat at the bar we were ignored. Sat for about 15 minutes beside the bar and no-one made eye contact or asked for an order, so we eventually just left. There were at least 3-4 staff walking around. There was a male bar staff member who also made us feel uncomfortable. He wouldn’t stop hovering around his female colleague who was busy preparing drinks. He literally came to the sink directly beside our table as we were sat at the bar, within 4 feet, never looked at us, and cleaned utensils for her to use and brought them to her. He was obviously more concerned with making an impression on her than serving me and my partner. His had a weird energy toward her and we weren’t sure the female staff member was even interested in talking to him. It was shortly after this we decided to just leave. I want to note that I was contacted by a manager who wanted to speak with me about this experience to deal with the concerns raised in this review which was appreciated. It was a shame to have a poor experience but I do believe it has been taken seriously and management do want to provide a good service.

16/10/2025: We went twice in one day. Once for lunch which was nice food and a beer. And at the end of the evening where there was a live band and a lot of drinking.

24/03/2026: Had dinner here one sunny thuraday while walking about bundoran. Ordered 2 steak baguettes and 2 pint bottle of bulmers. The steak baguette was a joke. It was real tough beef sliced up small and covered in peppersauce. Not good enough charging 26 euro and calling it steak when its poor quality tough beef strips. The food came out in roughly 5 minutes which is very poor sign when your hoping to get a nice fresh meal. The pint bottle of bulmers cost 7.95. The owners of this premisis musy believe they are in the middle of templebar dublin. Such extortion for a pint bottle of bulmers. Atleast 2 euro too expensive. However Staff were good bar not getting my order right which can be annoying. Never going back agin. And would not recommend

25/11/2025: Ate dinner here while we were staying at the hotel and we had a fab meal. All of the food was tasty and we would recommend the Prawn and Salmon Starter, Sausages and Mash and Seafood Linguini. Also it was great to try a few cocktails from the menu which was quite extensive and reasonably priced drinks. It was a family member's birthday the night we ate here and the team all got involved in bringing out the cake and singing happy birthday which was a lovely touch and really appreciated.
