I've been coming to Bundoran since I was no age and ever since the pandemic we/I've been staying at the Bank House when available, and it is just a fantastic spot Clean rooms, the friendliest staff, a great bar, great breakfast and so close to everything with the hotel being at the centre of town... 10/10 🫶

23/06/2025: The rooms are noisy and a little old-fashioned, but the hotel is ideally located and the breakfast is very good.

04/07/2025: Food was top class, excellent and the staff were great and very helpful!! We went for the specials and portions were very generous for a reasonable price which was good!! Definitely would recommend if you’re in Dungloe :)

10/05/2025: I must say this Chinese dinner place has been the best one I have ever ate at. It is extremely tasty and makes me think I am back in my home country of England where there are many Chinese restaurants. There are many good Chinese restaurants in England but I have never seen one quite like this. Highly recommend this extraordinary, extra ordinary restaurants.The toilet was also quite luxurious clean and comfortable. It made me feel like I am on that toilet that Rick sat on in Rick and Morty. I would give it five stars for the toilet alone. I am going to give it nine stars but it only goes to five. Well done.

06/03/2025: A nice place that pleasantly surprised me. From the outside, it looks like a typical fish and chips shop, so at first, I wasn’t sure whether to go in. However, I’m glad I did! The food exceeded my expectations. The beans were perfectly seasoned, and the baguette was fresh and crispy, making for a simple but delicious meal. The portion size was just right, and everything tasted homemade. The atmosphere inside was cozy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. If you’re in the area and looking for a casual but tasty bite, this place is worth checking out!

20/12/2024: I love this place, a well run pub with a great atmosphere and fantastic music. The Guinness is great too. If your in Ballyboofey don't miss stopping by.

05/05/2025: Came with my fiancée. Despite We were ignored for the first five minutes after entering the restaurant. The food is where I’m really confused. I had the mussels to start — they came in a lovely pot designed to keep the heat in, but the mussels were cold. Some had broken shells and hadn’t been cleaned properly. I had to stop eating them because they were cold and barely coated in a thin layer of sauce. Nobody came back to check on us during the starter. I ordered the fillet steak with crispy red onion rings. The steak was perfectly cooked and fell apart — really well done. The onion rings were so nice I ordered more, but when the second batch came out, they were cold, dry, and clearly not fresh. When we went to pay the bill, we weren’t even asked if we enjoyed our meal. The mussels were still on the bill, even though we told the waiter they tasted off. We felt very unwelcome the entire time, likely because we weren’t locals. I’d avoid this place if you want cold food and warm drinks.

27/04/2025: We had such a wonderful dinner here last Wednesday celebrating my daughterJennifer and Jorges wedding. This was the first celebration of their wedding and Fergal and everyone at the Boathouse made it so special where we gathered for dinner with Jorges family from La Nucia, Spain. Perfect venue with great food, beautiful location and relaxed atmosphere. Special thanks to Patrick too.

15/07/2025: Very disappointed with our stay from we arrived until we went home. Meal in the church was cold served on a piping hot plate, not to mention the flies. Booked in for our breakfast hence the reason not to have to wait for a table, a very bad experience all tables in dinning room stacked up with plates no one to ask where we ready to order as we sat at a table which had already been taken by other guests, the cleanliness was horrendous dirty table mats and soiled no Cutlery no napkins,when they did move us to another table, then only to wait an hr for breakfast served on a piping hot plate and the bacon like leather and everything else cold but the eggs. I did make the waitress aware but just shrug her shoulders very en experience staff for a high standard hotel. Not my first time to stay here but will certainly be our last. Very disappointed

14/07/2025: Rockhill House is a beautiful escape just outside Letterkenny — we stayed in a cosy room in the main house that was perfect for a short getaway, set within stunning, peaceful grounds. The only thing to note is the modern door locks: they don’t automatically lock when closed, so you need to manually turn the key to secure them. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional — standout starters like smoked brie and fish tacos with fresh haddock goujons, pico de gallo, and taco sauce in a soft shell were bursting with flavour. Mains of chicken roulade and feather blade beef were rich, tender, and melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Breakfast was equally impressive: a compact but well-curated self-service spread of fresh fruit, croissants, scones, and juices, followed by a cooked-to-order hot breakfast that hit the spot. Service throughout was warm and efficient. We didn’t get to explore everything as we arrived late and left early — but what we experienced was top class. Thanks to John for a very warm welcome.

16/06/2025: We recently stayed here for a hen party and had the entire main house to ourselves for two nights. It was an absolutely wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this venue for any private function. Not only is the house beautiful, warm, and cosy, but it’s also incredibly practical. We had full access to a catering kitchen, which made preparing and cooking meals for 20 people so easy - and enjoyable! The accommodation can host even more guests comfortably, and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Cottagey-rustic-cosy-Irish vibes! Upstairs, there's a great wee party room with a bar that you can stock yourself and enjoy for the weekend—it was so perfect, we didn't even leave the accomodation the first night as we had literally everything that we needed. The staff were also fantastic—very helpful and accommodating throughout the booking process. Would highly recommend this place! <3

06/02/2025: I had the pleasure of staying at Corcreggan Mill Lodge and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. The staff made us feel right at home and it truly felt like we were part of the family, thank you Cindy! The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The decor was charming and added to the overall ambiance of the lodge. We slept soundly each night and woke up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. Breakfast was simply superb! The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We were spoiled with a continental breakfast. We left each morning feeling satisfied and energized for the day ahead. There is a Bistro with outside seating on the premises were you can have dinner, we had gourmet chicken corn tacos and guacamole- just GRAND! Overall, I cannot recommend Corcreggan Mill Lodge highly enough. The whole facility was just excellent, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. If you're looking for a cozy and comfortable place to stay in Donegal, look no further than Corcreggan Mill Lodge. You won't be disappointed!

06/05/2025: I had a wonderful lunch today at Chapter Twenty at the Mill Park Hotel. I started with a pint of Guinness, the lunch special was roasted leg of lamb with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Absolutely delicious!! I normally don’t get dessert, but I was tempted by the Baileys cheesecake. It was served with the dip of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and strawberries. It was wonderful! I ended the meal with a Baileys coffee which was made perfectly. The food was fantastic, the service was impeccable! I definitely recommend this restaurant with five stars!

13/04/2025: Underwhelming. Server Graeme was especially unfriendly, no eye contact.. no chat, very direct. Seemed to be tension between staff, as no staff engaged with us at all apart from the female maître d. Would expect more for the cost of food & drinks. Low music also. Drinks more expensive than temple bar, although I was impressed they offered gluten free pasta. Unfortunately it was quite dry, not creamy at all & the huge portion was wasteful. Won’t be returning, although visually the venue is fantastic

30/05/2025: Greasy food, full breakfast ordered and apart from the eggs, everythings out of the fryer. Even the mushrooms?! Come on, are you serious? I had healthier breakfast experiences out of dodgy food trucks. Sry change it, let me know, I come back and change my review.

11/05/2025: Website is a little confusing as it lists only their Letterkenny location (and they’re a mobile truck, I could have imagined they don’t stay in one place!). I was able to find them just fine in Donegal though

05/06/2025: Went to Inish fushion this evening with family. 04/06/25. Can't fault anything at all with the place. Very quaint and homely. Food was delicious and served by very friendly staff. Great choices on the menu. Definitely worth trying again to test some more desserts😊. Reasonable priced also.

01/06/2025: Great visit, and friendly, attentive staff. Starter was prawns and noodles, which was beautiful We had the steak special on sat night , which was beautiful well presented and sizzling hot. Desserts was Berry meringues, and ice cream. Thank you for a beautiful meal.
