03/01/2025: The food here is great, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff is great.
We had nothing to complain about at all and left full and very satisfied. Clear recommendation.

25/12/2024: You come here to drink. Locals and regulars around the bar and are welcoming. Good Irish whiskey and beer are n tap. No food so eat elsewhere.

09/01/2025: Was really looking forward to coming here, it's a beautiful thatch pub from the outside. We both ordered fish and chips, which should have come with mushy peas. It didn't, so I asked, we received one pot between two, so my husband asked again for another. The food was nice, but fish batter could have been a bit crispier and portion of fish bigger instead of covering plate with loads of chips.
The Guinness was very good, the food wasn't bad, they could have done with putting the fire on but the service definitely needs improvement and I wouldn't come back to eat again. For a drink maybe.

07/12/2024: We stayed at an Airbnb right down the lane from this cafe and visited several times during our stay on the island.
Best Beef and Guinness stew I’ve ever had! The tea and cake was also a lovely afternoon treat when the weather turned cold.
My only complaint is they weren’t open for dinner hours, otherwise I would have taken my dinners there as well! ❤️
05/12/2024: Travelled and stopped the last November Friday. Was windy with cold rain. Stew for myself and lasagna for my teen were gorgeous and kept us full and fueled for the whole rainy cold day. Staff was Nice and friendly, the fireplace was cosy and smelled with turf/peat.

27/10/2024: Cuando mi marido y mi hijo vieron esto en el menú, tuvimos que reservar (ninguno de los dos había visto The Quiet Man). Fuimos un domingo por la noche, y la reserva era sin duda recomendable. Pat Cohans tiene la sensación de un pub o salón tradicional. El personal era muy amable y la comida era increíble. Aún mejor podríamos traer a nuestro perro. (Nos sorprendió la poca cantidad de lugares en Irlanda que permiten que para la cena, comer dentro). Mucha gente sentirá que este es un lugar turístico, pero la calidad de la comida y el servicio demuestra que este es un restaurante que quiere mantenerse por sí solo (y no por su vínculo con la película)

Free Parking, Immediately looked after when we walked in the door. Food arrived quickly and every single thing tasted Amazing! Staff we met were all really lovely and price was very good too. We will return.

12/12/2024: Nice pub restaurant, feels cosy and comfy, the food came quick, I had the special of the day which was beef with mash and veg, really decent portion of beef and veg, my only dislike was the plate had a lot of gravy and the red cabbage was put on top of the other veg in the bowl, but I wouldn't take a star away as it's minor.
Kids had sausage/burger and chips, loved them, and there was also a steak sandwich which was very tasty. Definitely recommend stopping here for a good meal.

01/01/2025: An absolutely fantastic hotel in all areas. My wife and I have stayed here a number of times and each time it never fails to impress. Food is amazing, the staff are the best around and the atmosphere there cannot be repeated.

12/11/2024: Just an FYI they don't serve food during this time of year as I discovered earlier. I'd say the prices are great, cheapest Guinness on my trip, but the service is brutal. Definitely a place where if you live nearby you're going to have a way different experience. But as someone who isn't local, it was very awkward.
11/11/2024: We had lunch here after our fun visit to the nearby Killary Sheep Farm, based on the recommendation of our tour guide, and had a wonderful meal. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, so typical of small towns in Ireland. I had the Killary Mussels (harvested literally a few hundred yards from the restaurant) and they were the best ever! We noticed many locals dining here, which is always a good sign. Give Hamilton's a try!

29/12/2024: We were traveling from Dublin to Connemara and were pleasantly surprised by the whole facility and the very friendly and helpful staff. Only the very young man at breakfast was visibly overwhelmed by our wishes. But I can still fully recommend it. Food was also delicious and very plentiful. Seems to be a local hotspot. At the end of the week it is advisable to reserve in advance.

30/11/2024: This is a large pub, with multiple rooms and areas, and two entrances from the street. There is live music on many Saturday nights. This pub is lively at the weekend, there are often 21st or other parties present. There is a food wagon in the back yard, I think it's called Urban Fire, don't know much about it. Guinness is 5 euro at the moment, November 2024, seems to be a long-running offer, compared to 5.70 in some other pubs in Oranmore.
