10/04/2025: Although we didn't have a reservation Morans were able to accommodate us in their outdoor area which was really warm and we had delicious prawn curry. Staff were lovely. Highly recommend!

26/04/2025: Easily the best food Ive found on Inis Mór, realy flavoursome and tasty, good portions agus ag caint as gaeilge... Doesnt need to be as good as there is very little indoor competition where they are and they deal with a lot of one time customers but it is... Maith sibhse..!

05/05/2025: Excellent cuisine, interesting interior with the possibility to sit both inside and on the veranda and even outdoors. The staff worked professionally. Pet-friendly. We hope to visit again. There are parking lots nearby and it is pleasant to walk from them in the original center of the town

26/04/2025: We love the Old Barracks and always stop in there when passing through or visiting Athenry. The food is very tasty and they often have something a little different to other restaurants - their new halloumi salad is a new favourite with my daughter! We've also tried their catering once at a family do and it was great, delish garlic potatoes! What makes this place so exceptional is the staff, all of whom are so friendly and seem genuinely delighted to be working there. I'd especially like to mention the manager with a beard, he is so accommodating and lovely with children. The only one tiny thing I would love to see them change is the water jug situation - the water seems to sit with fruit dissolving into it all day, so by the time you drink it it's full of bits. This has been the case every time we've been there and honestly it's just very off-putting.

27/04/2025: Booked at the last minute on a rainy day in Clifden. The welcome was 100 percent. You are made feel like you are the only ones staying there.Stepping back in time with History and class the Reception Bar and Restaurant staff especially our favorite Dermot was exceptional. Thanks to Brian for everything

12/04/2025: So to my surprise this place turned out to be great?? Overall, I didn't expect the food in such a place to be so delicious. The place is also nicely cleaned and decorated (the walls should be repainted). The toilets were fine, although the tap could be washed more often as it tends to get greasy. I hope the handle of the door that you exit the toilet with is also disinfected often. same for the toilet. The service is very nice and understanding. A place I would definitely return to ❤️

13/04/2025: Stopped off here randomly today. The perfect cosy place with homecooked food 😋 10/10 for us. The chowder is a must and the spicy beef special was delicious. Loved this place. Excellent 5 * service 👏 we will be back 👍

02/03/2025: Very deceiving from the outside, a really huge and most interesting pub (even found a wise man and a shepherd from a large crib of some Christmas past. Friendly and efficient service, and a sandwich that combines onion and banana (yes I did). Great spot.

16/04/2025: Food was absolutely delicious - worth a quick pop in! The Caesar Salad was very flavorful with generous portions of chicken. The Baked Goat Cheese Filo was over the top wonderful - order two! Cheers!

01/05/2025: Excellent fish restaurant run by two really kind ladies. The cost is a little higher than a pub, but it's worth it: the fish is truly super, all fresh and local. Mandatory stop in Galway. I recommend booking.

13/04/2025: Small chowder portions - not enough especially after a hike but tasty nonetheless. The atmosphere and the whole look of the restaurant is however nice and warm.

13/04/2025: Excellent welcome, a waitress spoke French and all the staff were very helpful. Top food we tried the soup, the beef burger, the fish and chips and the apple pie, very fresh.

06/05/2025: This Victorian castle's reflection in the lake is postcard-perfect at 11am when the water is stillest. The walled garden's head gardener still plants heritage vegetables from original 19th-century seed stock. The chapel's marble floor stays icy cold even in summer - bring socks if you want to linger inside.

06/05/2025: It is a beautiful place to visit, beautiful landscapes and views, full with history. I just though that is too expensive- 18 € for an adult
