22/08/2026: We had the pleasure to dine here 2 times is a raw while being here for a holiday and I have to say that the food and the stuff are one of the best I’ve seen so far.

20/08/2026: A wonderful restaurant, it has everything you could want: a friendly atmosphere, excellent service, traditional dishes, delicious flavors, and originality. The owner is very approachable, and the service is as good as the food. A huge congratulations!

16/07/2026: Everything was amazing but the bread needs a shoutout. So so good, I need more of that bread in my life. The oysters were great too! Food was brilliant, staff were really good, and the Guinness was absolutely lovely too. Can't fault a thing. Top drawer stuff going on here so make sure you visit!

14/07/2026: Arrive well on time or make a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. The dishes are good but not outstanding, and the price is a bit too high. The service is friendly and fast.

23/08/2026: A truly excellent place. Authenticity, quality service, a warm welcome, generous and delicious dishes. Connemara mussels and fish soup. Excellent cheesecake.

23/08/2026: We’ve eaten there twice over the past month and the food is excellent as well as the service. Seafood chowder, fish and chips and soup of the day all were delicious. There’s a car park a few blocks away which is convenient and much easier than trying to park in town.

06/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible dining experience at John J. Burke's in Clonbur! The food was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We had the burgers, which were cooked to perfection and packed with flavour. My daughter had the fish and chips, and she said it was one of the best she's ever had. We couldn't leave without trying dessert, and we're so glad we did! From the rich chocolate brownie to the freshly made cheesecake, everything was homemade and simply delicious. Honestly, it's some of the best food we've had since dining in Michelin-starred restaurants in Abu Dhabi. The quality, freshness, and attention to detail were exceptional. The atmosphere was just as wonderful as the food, with traditional Irish music creating the perfect warm and welcoming setting. A huge compliment to everyone at John J. Burke's. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Clonbur! Thanks again Steven, Alison Willow from Donegal ❤️

18/08/2026: Superb whiskey bar. A welcome change from the usual pubs. A huge selection and a very helpful staff. I highly recommend it for the early part of the evening or late evening, as there's no food service.

Brian and all the staff are the real definition of "warm and welcoming", rooms are cozy and comfortable, restaurant with truly high quality menu. I wish we could stay longer than one night. 25/05/2026: Great first time experience in a castle! Beautiful castle and grounds, great bar and dinner was fantastic! Try the local lobster it is so sweet! Definitely stay here again.

05/07/2026: Easy to believe the best coffee shops in Ireland sign. The espresso is excellent and the locally made desserts are as unique as they are delicious. The interior impeccable and there's a nice patio for that day each month when it doesn't rain.

01/06/2026: The experience has exceeded my expectations in every dimension. The food compositions were often complex and refined, yet light and precise, and… simply delicious. The staff and atmosphere are highly professional and attentive, yet relaxed. Great interiors and surroundings. I wish I could visit you more often, and I hope I’ll be able to swing by upon my next trip to Ireland. Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience!

30/05/2026: Exceptional in every way. Excellent but unpretentious. Slick service, fantastic food and relaxed but stylish atmosphere. Very cool!

18/08/2026: Very fast and delicious. We had luck to get a seat. It is lovely decorated. They have fresh fish from near by and it is very tasty. Lovely side salad and you have to taste the garlic butter fries hand cut.

17/08/2026: The crab tian and fish and chips were incredible! It's a shame the young woman's welcome was so appalling, and luckily she took over the table next to ours (where her lack of friendliness and smile continued). Our waitress made a much better impression. It's a pity such a lovely establishment is ruined by this kind of attitude.

21/07/2026: We stopped here at the weekend on our way home. Plenty of parking at the back. We hadn't reserved a table but the staff found us a table for 6 of us. Very much appreciated as we were all hungry. Ordered steak Sambos and kids got gougons & chips. Everything was delicious, must say was the best Steak Sambos we had in a very long time. Everything cooked perfect. When came to desert unfortunately wasn't what was advertised. The kids preferred the waffles and Nutella but when came it wasn't Nutella but rather some chocolate sauce out of a bottle seems like, but on the menu it said Nutella & waffles. For the adults the deserts are overpriced to be honest @ €8.50.

05/08/2026: Really nice place, the service is lovely and the overall ambiance nice you the view is really great when you can eat by the windows and the staff are really nice and chatty if you talk to them. As for the food pretty good well served and the apple pie is really good.

23/07/2026: This is easily the best place to eat in inishmore. Really nice home cooked food with generous healthy portions and the staff are really friendly

22/07/2026: We ate here yesterday and the food was delicious. Everything is homemade and you can tell so. The Team working there are all lovely. The cafe is so pretty.

06/06/2026: Loved our stay here so much we extended it. So relaxing from the moment we arrived. Staff are all excellent warm, attentive but always understated. You feel very well looked after but you are always given space. Everything is spotless, decor is beautiful...a lot of thought and care has gone into it. A relaxing inviting lounge area, a big turf fire, eclectic mix of artwork, and interesting ornaments. A beautiful dining area with views over the sea, and a delicious dinner menu made for the most romantic memorable meal. Our dog was welcomed and we were never made to feel it was an inconvenience. Similarly the place is not overrun by pets and wouldn't disturb others. Can't wait to to go back ...thank you to you all

06/06/2026: Thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay, rooms were fantastic, staff extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, food was 10/10 especially the seafood. Highly recommend and will be staying again. Looking forward to it.
