16/01/2026: I chose this place to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and from our very first interaction with customer service to the end of the evening, it was an amazing experience. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. We ordered a variety of dishes, and while the main course (the pork chops) was fairly average, everything else was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised, as I didn’t expect this place to offer such high-quality food. The drinks menu was diverse and unique, with plenty of options to choose from, including wines and other beverages. The live music was another highlight of the night—it really enhanced the atmosphere and made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys live music and great food. The photos online truly don’t do it justice.

15/01/2026: We had an absolute blast, very intimate setting, the band read the room perfectly and the service was impeccable. The food is worth a detour. The manager of the restaurant, JAcob, took very good care of his guest !

22/12/2025: A great place, good food, friendly, professional service. And the atmospheric interior... a homey atmosphere. I wanted to show my family what Ireland was like. This place was definitely a good idea for a taste of Ireland, both literally and figuratively – a taste of the Irish atmosphere.

22/12/2025: Lovely food and atmosphere, we went for evening dinner, when we arrived it was quiet but it got busy as the evening went on, Food was lovely, tasty, very generous size portions. Desert was lovely. I got a lovely expresso martini, it was delish. Would like to come back for Lunch too. Would reccommend.

09/12/2025: This is a great pub with wonderful staff. The pizzas are excellent and there is a good choice of wines and beers.

10/02/2026: Gillian and her team are SO helpful and kind. Their location is absolutely perfect. You are in the heart of the city and can access everything very easily. The fridge and kettle in the room are a game changer (and complimentary tea, coffee, and shampoo etc.) and with grocery stores and restaurants just feet away and the best shopping in Dublin on Henry street it makes the stay worth every cent! Everything is SO clean. It’s been my favorite place to stay! 💚

31/01/2026: Disappointed with my meal here tonight. I am happy to pay over 30 euro for a really good main course but not the soggy Singapore noodles drenched in soy sauce I was served.

20/01/2026: There are only a few chain style restaurants in the country that offer truly good service and food consistently. Red torch ginger is up there but in particular this location. Service is excellent food is excellent and atmosphere is always lively. All this and more brings me back weekly.

25/01/2026: I had a very disappointing experience here. Upon entering, I was instantly greeted with 'Not tonight pal' by the barman. I wasn't given a reason, nor did I have a chance to say a word. Arbitrarily refusing entry to paying customers is a terrible way to run a business. If you are looking for a welcoming atmosphere, go elsewhere.

31/01/2026: I didn't find many cocktail bars in Dublin because most were 23+, but this bar definitely won us over. A super elegant place, excellent cocktails, and impeccable service.

22/01/2026: We had a fantastic time at The Sidecar. We enjoyed every drink, and the welcome glass was a lovely touch, much appreciated. Plus, having Sebastian prepare the martini with us and explain the whole process for achieving the flavors was brilliant. Everything was exceptional. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly, especially Imogen and Sebastian, Illary and Khali. Thank you guys!

12/12/2025: Love this pub. Super friendly staff and good crowd, mix of all ages. Big but still feels cosy and intimate, with lots of seating and little nooks and crannies. Great pint of Guinness and nice pub chow. Music is lively but not so loud you can't talk over it, and very comfortable smoking area. Recommended!

30/11/2025: Had a delish burger with amazing wedges here. Staff and atmosphere are warm. Prices are reasonable. Pay them a visit!
