It’s the kind of spot you hear about from someone who knows the road well: "Pull in there, you won’t regret it." And they’d be right. The plates come out full and honest, no fancy fuss — just proper cooking, the kind that fills the belly and lifts the heart. The service? The sort that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time stepping through the door. Sure, you might have to go a mile or two out of your way — but isn't that where all the best places are? The Crookstown Inn is a reminder that the real treasures aren’t always on the main road — and it’s a feed worth travelling for.

17/05/2025: Food is just delicious (small portions), and the chickpeas chips are divine! So good! Staff is very welcoming and they really take care of you. Music was great, and the ambience is delightful (everything curated to the details apart from the stage where they perform - a bit of a sad golden curtain. This is me being a perfectionist but part of my job). Lovely experience and perfect for a date (however music can be relatively loud so might not be the right place for the very first date if you want to get to know each other). If you are vegan, they only have vegan desserts but can adapt recepies by removing ingredients (which is slightly annoying as we often end up paying the same for less, somehow)

12/05/2025: I personally did not enjoy this place as much as some other cocktail bars in London. The atmosphere is created nicely in African / Latin American style. The cocktails were good but not all of them. Acadia and Route Napoleon were both great. Cities of the plan was too strong to me although I love mezcal-based cocktails. Rio verde was just good but I would not order it in a cocktails bar. The food overall was underwhelming. Tar tare could have been good if not that salty. Charred octopus was just okay. Pork katsu Sando was good and the pork was reasonably tender but again nothing special. There was a band playing music and closer to the end of the evening they started to call people on stage, have a train running around the bar etc - so the atmosphere was definitely different from your average cocktail bar and while a lot of visitors enjoyed it, I would be looking for something else. The service was not the level I’d expect. I ordered a cocktail and in addition to it just not being available, I only learnt about it 15 minutes after my order

18/01/2025: De vuelta a Hacienda para otra súper noche de fiesta. Todo sobre este lugar es de primera clase. Una cálida y amable bienvenida - encantadores cócteles - excelente comida - muy buen vino - un entorno cómodo - precios muy razonables. Este es un súper restaurante, y visitamos a menudo - y nunca se decepcionó. Muy recomendable.

22/04/2025: This is a delightful coffee shop. Our eyes were drawn to the many awards displayed at the entrance and so we decided to drop in for coffee and cake. It’s a very busy place and is clearly extremely popular with locals and visitors. There is a delightful array of cakes and pastries on display at the counter and they also offer savoury options for breakfast, brunch and lunch. We were only having coffee and cake however and both were excellent. Many coffee shops fail to offer nice home baked cakes and pastries but not here. The cakes were absolutely delicious, served with cream and a delicious berry compôte. It’s the little things that make a simple coffee and cake experience a great one, delightful friendly young staff, glasses of water brought to our table straight away (without having to ask) and great coffee and cake. If you’re in Ballybofey definitely call in!

11/05/2025: It was easy to find and park, but we hadn’t made a reservation because it was early evening—next time, I will call first. The restaurant was starting to get busy during our time there. The food and service were excellent. It is not the first time we’ve eaten in Mannion’s, and it definitely won’t be the last.

07/04/2025: Good atmosphere,very friendly staff, affordable menu, lovely interior. Only issue, the Sunday menu was very limited, a few more dinner options would be ideal, maybe take out the Chestnut roast, I didn't no what it was , I ate one or two spoon fulls, it wasn't for me, maybe replace it with roast beef, something more fitting

01/05/2025: Dan Linehan's was perfect for our stay in Killarney. Easy walk to both bus and train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location and cozy room. Ideal for a Killarney visit. Highly recommended!

14/04/2025: Rooms are very small and a little old. But otherwise everything was fine. It was clean and well maintained. The breakfast is absolutely great and enhances the entire stay enormously. Parking is available directly opposite in a public car park and costs €1 per hour. Parking is free there from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. and on Sundays.
