09/04/2026: hidden gem? we finished our trip to Dublin with a dinner for 8 here and wow what an experience. they were able to accommodate us with minimal notice and sat our large group in a private area for larger groups. the food was simply wonderful across our entire group, across so many different dishes from starters of french onion soup, caesar salad and foi gras to mains of fish pie, beef pie, gourmet burger and braised beef to desserts and of course a nip of whiskey. the ambiance is simply great and the staff even better. don't miss this one.

29/03/2026: Non alcoholic cocktails were fabulous, the cocktail menu is lengthy with lush ingredients and the desserts are a must try!

Her service is second to none, and she’s genuinely one of the main reasons we keep coming back time and time again. From the minute you arrive, the communication, the welcome, the laughs and the banter are absolutely brilliant. Pamela has a way of making you feel at home and adds hugely to the whole atmosphere of the place. The Franciscan Well itself is a fantastic spot for a drink, a catch-up and a great night out, but having staff like Pamela takes it to another level entirely. 07/08/2026: Love this place! Delicious pizzas and they even have vegan cheese! I love the vibes here and the staff are so lovely. They do comedy night here too which are very fun. Highly recommend .

30/07/2026: Garry has an incredible wealth of knowledge of the area and was incredible in helping us find new places to enjoy in the Dingle Peninsula area. He was a joy to talk to and it's easy to see how he's been doing this for so long.

27/07/2026: Surprisingly great hotel right in the middle of town. First off, it's huge - much bigger and more interestingly laid out than you'd first think, with plush furnishings and decor in the bar, restaurant and common areas. Rooms were massive and well equipped, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant stay with free underground parking and a lovely welcome from the staff

27/06/2026: The Bistro at Lawlors of Naas served us the worst food ever tonight. Asked for Chips without salt they came out pickled. Beef dish was disgusting beef tasted weird, big lump of cabbage and all served in a puddle of bisto. Left our complaint with duty manager who also couldn't care less as he was just trying to get through the night with undertrained, understaffed, servers. Will never return here again

15/04/2026: Excellent stay last weekend with my baby as part of a hen party. Cannot thank the staff enough, I found myself staying on my own with my baby due to the fuel protests. The ladies on reception were so welcoming and helped with my luggage. The restaurant delivered my meal to the room, it was lovely. The hotel is great and the staff definitely made my stay enjoyable and relaxing.

08/04/2026: Good hotel located in the centre of kilkenny. Room was nice, clean and big, and despite it overlooking the main street it was quiet. Slightly odd setup that the quickest way to the hotel room was to leave the building and walk across the car park, but there was an option to walk through the hotel also. Bar was good, just went there for a drink, not food. Breakfast is self service and a good choice of hot and cold food.

18/08/2026: This was our second time meeting here for a large family birthday celebration. Both times they managed unexpected extra people easily and professionally and gave us great space to move around. The atmosphere is busy for Saturday lunch but in a fun enjoyable way. Service is very nice and pleasant but there was a bit of a wait between courses, especially desert. In saying that they made a lovely birthday version of my sisters desert and all the servers got together to sing Happy Birthday which she loved. Food is hot, generous and delicious with a bit of traditional, a bit of Indian, a bit of Italian as well as burgers etc etc I think I had the nicest cheesecake I have ever eaten ( and I’ve had a fair few!) with their white chocolate and raspberry on a Biscoff base - I was sorry I hadn’t asked for a doggy bag for next day! You won’t be disappointed.

15/07/2026: Honestly you could not get a nicer Sunday dinner if ya tried! The food here is amazing, atmosphere is always great. Staff mostly smile and are very pleasant except for one barman who doesn't seem to know how to smile or even speak, grunts well though! Wouldn't let him put me off. I'll definitely be back

07/08/2026: A great experience to see the cliffs from the water. Be careful if you're prone to seasickness. It's quite rocky.

06/08/2026: Eventhough the view is great, and the paving is nice if your mobility is limited, do NOT go here if you're anything like me and enjoy a scenic hike! Not worth the money, there's more people than moher cliff. Just follow the trail from Doolin or Pollboy, from pollboy surfers path is actually still accesable and you can get an amazing view of the best part of the cliffs. The walk to doolin was also well worth it, can't say the same about the 15 euros i spent on this.
