05/08/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Food & Friendly Service! Popped in for collection and was really impressed. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food was ready on time and absolutely delicious — the kebab was juicy and full of flavour, the chips were perfectly cooked, and the pizza was spot on with a crispy base and tasty toppings. Great value and great service — will definitely be back!

05/08/2025: Brilliant Pizza and Super Friendly Staff! Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a while — fresh, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. The crust was just right, and the toppings were generous without being over the top. What made it even better was the service — the staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and easy. Great food, great people — definitely coming back!

25/03/2026: I went for a Birthday. The Brazilian waiters was very kind. The place is nice. Well cleaned. The food is expansive but ok prices if you compare to Ireland. My plate was ok

28/01/2026: I have been here few times recently and food has been always great. Usually go for buttermilk burger but tried tikka masala and it was delicious🤤 It came with rice, naan bread and chips, decent portion and full of flavours. Much better than some Indians restaurants around.

03/03/2026: We visited the Franciscan Well with friends over the weekend while they were visiting from the UK. The Brewery tour we booked was interesting and the lady that explained everything to us was really informative (I can't remember her name but she was from Kerry !) The beer samples went down a treat and obviously we ordered a few more pints following the tour...the stout went down very well...!!! There is a great choice of Craft Beers available as well as the Stout.! The Pompeii Pizzas which are freshly made on site, are amazing, and the choice of toppings were very enticing....!! We ordered a mix of different pizzas, and we all said they were some of the best we have had, so fair play to the pizza team there..!! The setting is very nice with a cosy bar inside and a great seating area outside with heaters available for cold days..!! All the staff were very friendly with great customer service all round..!! We highly recommend the Franciscan Well Bar...put this on your list of "must do's" when in Cork...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

06/01/2026: Stopped in on our first night in Dublin and wasn’t disappointed. We ordered the fish and chips and it was very good! Fish was cooked very well and super flaky. The chips were crispy and overall tasty dish! Would definitely come back again.

15/03/2026: I visited this bar because it was recommended by an Irish friend. At first it looked like a nice place, but unfortunately the experience became disappointing. I ordered an Aperol Spritz for €13 and the glass was entirely filled with ice. Paying that price for what is mostly ice is already questionable. My second drink was made by a Brazilian bartender. I politely asked if he could use less ice and he made a very good Aperol Spritz. He was friendly, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. Unfortunately, the third drink was made by the first bartender and it was terrible. It barely tasted like an Aperol Spritz and was basically sparkling water. When things became quieter, I politely asked if she could remake the drink because it clearly wasn’t right. She refused and said those were their measurements. She even said I didn’t have to pay for it, but that is not really the point. I would have preferred a properly made drink. An Aperol Spritz is one of the simplest cocktails to make and the classic recipe is well known: three parts Prosecco, two parts Aperol and one part soda water. What disappointed me most was the attitude. In a bar, especially one that presents itself as welcoming and social, friendliness and customer care should be part of the job. Fixing a bad drink should not be a problem. For my first time in Dublin this was unfortunately not a good experience and I would not recommend this bar. It is not about the price, it is about the quality and the service you receive. Ps: The Brazilian bartender who made my second drink was excellent and deserves recognition.

08/03/2026: I visited here last Saturday to be refused entry from the bouncer because there was a ‘private party’, I mean.. the whole place was booked out for a private party? Go on with yourself 😅 I must not look like a stereotypical lesbian (this appears to be a recurring theme judging from the other reviews!). I won’t come here again. Anyway, I was here before and it’s only ok.

Albeit unfortunate circumstances a young man by the name of John Paul lightened the mood and showed kindess, empathy, unparalleled professionalism and great care towards the entire group. Put a rare smile on a few faces and was an absolute pleasure to have him serve us👍🏼

03/03/2026: Hands down, one of the best meals I've had in Ireland! The food here is unexplainably amazing. What really makes this place special is the staff. Brenda and Atish are always so friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. This is such a damn good spot. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and go, you won't regret it! Highly recommend to everyone.

02/03/2026: Wow! What a night!! We celebrated my boyfriends 30th birthday at McGowan's. The staff were so good all night, and the atmosphere was electric. I was also there recently for the Six Nations so it's slowing turning into my new local. The food is unreal!
