26/02/2025: A good atmosphere, great band playing ,enjoyable night ,even managed the singer to sing " austin " so a great night all round !!

23/03/2025: Went for corporate drinks with large groups. Snacks served were nice. Nicest bar wine I've ever had. Especially the Malbec. Nice bar atmosphere but a slight bit crampy in a cornered off area. Staff didn't know were not aware of corporate reservation and had to say name 5x before someone copped on.

17/03/2025: Very off putting to have a guy in the toilet hassling you for tips when he gives you kitchen roll for drying your hands even if you say no thanks. Not sure why they allow this in their toilets.

25/03/2025: I gave this place a second chance. Soggy pizza. Slow service. Expensive wine 12.50 for a tiny glass. Nice setting in powerscourt but that was the only positive.

25/03/2025: The experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The starters were nice, our pizzas were soggy, and waiters picked up drinks before they were finished, often touching the glass improperly. Half the group had their drinks handled by strangers' fingers, which was unpleasant. Despite ordering more drinks, the group was then told there was only five minutes left at the table. Overall, most of the group (7 out of 10) didn’t enjoy their meals, and the visit confirmed that the place wasn't great.

12/03/2025: Just enjoyed, I think, the best chips I've ever had in my life, with a delicious lasagne with side of vegetables; thick cut, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy in the middle, and just the right amount of salt. I think I'm in love 🥰. Great Guiness and Sauvignon Blanc, great service. Very authentic Irish pub!

19/03/2025: Many different kind of donuts to chose from. All taste different and ate fluffy and fresh. Highly recommend the Rafaello one.

10/02/2025: A smart enough cafe-cum-restaurant with helpful staff and plenty of tables. Carnivores are well catered for. There are no vegetarian menu options so I had a full breakfast without the meat. That’s a shame given the choice of plant-based bacon-like and sausage products available now, and the little imagination and time it needs to make meat-free vegetable, fish, or dairy dishes. The pot of tea top-up was atop the same blanched teabag-eek! We can do better. This doesn’t take away from its being clean, tidy, and very welcoming. It’s a great meet-up venue and shouldn’t be overlooked.

17/03/2025: Called in here while passing through Ballinrobe for a bite to eat. We hadn’t made a reservation but it was around 5pm on a Sunday so thought we might get lucky. The staff did offer us a seat, not the best seat, beside the till, but beggars can’t be choosers, and we accepted what was offered. The menu was varied and offered a good selection of both starters and main courses. The one thing we noticed was the menu didn’t cater for our 13 year old who just wanted chicken goujons and chips. She ordered from the kids menu but found the portion very small, obviously 🙄. Anyway I had the special which was the Mayo rump lamb with tender stem broccoli which was absolutely delicious. My wife had the mild Thai red curry which she found too mild but for people, like me, who like a mild curry it was perfect. My 13 year old hoovered up her chicken and chips and half of her mothers curry so that was a good sign everything was tasty. For dessert I had an apple granola thing whit ice cream which again was delicious and the rest both had the sticky toffee pudding, with ice cream which was also delicious. The total including drinks came to around €70 which was very reasonably, considering the quality of everything. I would recommend a visit here and please make a reservation to avoid disappointment. I would like to experience this fine establishment again but this time from a more comfortable table and seating area. I would like to thank the staff for accommodating us on the first place as I know it would have been easier to turn us away.

12/03/2025: We ordered the roast beef. It was like leather and it was clearly heated in a microwave. Also the soup was so thick I couldn't eat it. The supervisor was lovely and didn't charge for the beef. I didn't complain about the soup.

23/02/2025: Celebrated my birthday here and had an amazing experience! The service was fantastic, the staff was attentive, friendly, and constantly checked to see if we needed anything. The venue itself was wonderful, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable celebration. Everything was genuinely 5/5—highly recommended! Thank you for making my special day perfect!

19/02/2025: Great night has been had! The bartenders were so nice as well as the floor staff and Jessica went over the top to make it even better! I had a tinny little trouble with the vending machine and she solved it ,no problem! Thank you so much for everything,guys! Keep you the amazing job ❤️

The food was absolutely devine, I have to say that it was the best steak I've had in a long long time., perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned served with pickled onion rings and a delightful bernaise sauce. The sticky toffee pudding.. what can I say.. soft, decadent, rich with flavour and a beautiful sauce, left a little sea salted after taste which just added to the experience, served with vanilla ice cream. Already looking forward to our next visit.

16/02/2025: Loved exploring the house and its grounds and gardens. But what what even more fun was going to the Darrynane beach behind it!

09/10/2024: The house was closed when we went but the gardens were lovely and worth a visit on their own. They were also free to go round. Lovely setting right by the coast.
