02/11/2024: From the moment we arrived to the moment we left(one night) the service was excellent. The rooms were amazing and the dinner we had was extremely supreme. Very friendly staff and the atmosphere was lovely. A lovely stay. A memory that will last a life time

McDermott Pub on September 24th, 2024 and the atmosphere and energy that evening was quite special..a full house of customers deeply interested in Irish music responded to this band this evening.. as we arrived the clapping and joy of response was so good to hear...our evening was special..

22/10/2024: I had a great roast beef dinner with all the trimmings; mash, turnip, carrots, broccoli, gravey and Yorkshire pudding. The beef was meltingly tender and tasty. Despite being full I managed a fruit crumble with custard and cream for dessert and it was delicious too. It's a lovely cosy pub with great service.
26/09/2024: Food: I've never had a better roast dinner in my life. Beef, mashed potatoes, vegetables. I wish I took a better pic.
Service: Andy, the bartender, is among the best bartenders ever. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. My drink was never empty unless by choice.
The food came with perfect timing. I'm amazed at the quality and quick service, a rare combination.
Atmosphere: Friendly, safe, interactive.
The first night, for example, an older gentleman got down from his bar stool to leave, and seemed surprised to see three female strangers there (us). After a quick look of surprise, he looked me in the eye, instantly broke into a verse of a song, then went out the door.
The bathrooms were immaculate as well!

31/10/2024: Our initial schedule was sleep overnight and leave 8am next morning after breakfast.
After seeing the place, our group of 30 requested that we leave later 11:30am instead of 8am, so we can enjoy the place. And truly that was a good decision.
This place is wonderful and people are friendly, kind and hospitable.
I was able to borrow bike and go around to enjoy the beautiful scenery of this place.
I would like to comeback to this place in the future if opportunity permits.

18/10/2024: Just phenomenal. Viennoseries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Couldn’t resist staying away for more than a day, had to go back twice today, and will likely be back tomorrow. The staff is lovely as well. Definitely try the pain au raisin, and the kouign amann. The pastel de nata is superb.
Also the coffee was so nice! I’m very into American third wave coffee, and while all the coffee in Ireland is quite nice, the espresso here is sweet, and fruity. Loved it.

20/10/2024: I must be on another planet based on all the 5 star reviews but if that fry was made to order I’d be shocked. (I don’t mean assembled to order).
Hot plates are not a substitute for batch cooked items. Rashers were dry as if left under a heat lamp for an hour, sausages were a bit rubbery and so was the egg. Tiny amount of beans and had to swap my chair with another table as it was super wobbly.
A centra deli quality fry basically.
Cafe Rose in limerick is miles ahead.
03/10/2024: Everything was very good, very good coffee, enough bread, careful attention.

30/10/2024: Had dinner here today, customer service was excellent, seated us quick even though extremely busy. Kids meals were fab, mussels for 7.50 and special was delicious, pan fried seabass with herb mashed potato that I'd love the recipe for! The fish and chips were best I've had too. Beautiful food with great service in an amazing setting

15/11/2024: Went to Brogans mid week at lunch time. the bar was quite busy. I had about 2 minutes of a wait and got a seat at the bar counter. literally about 2 or 3 minutes after sitting down the dinner and drink were in front of me. Best service ever.
The food was too class and in a lovely bar. 5 stars and more
06/11/2024: We were staying in Ennis last week for a couple of nights and we had remembered this place from a previous visit a year ago ao returned back. Staff were very accommodating for our group of 8 they got us sat within a few minutes and the food we had for lunch was gorgeous. We even went again for dinner two days later before heading back to Dublin. Big main menu and a specials menu with loads to choose from. The portions are big and presentation is fab. Will always be a pub we visit when in ennis!
