14/02/2026: Fantastic ♥️ thank you for delicious food and great service. Especially Lian ( I am not sure about correct spelling, sorry). All staff were amazing and friendly. Definitely we will be back soon. Despite the full seating we were always served and had delicious food on our table.

07/03/2026: We came here with an organized tour. 33 people. This was an experience we won't forget! Had never slept inside a castle before. I would love to do this again.

28/02/2026: I am speechless??? I love a classy, upscale stay, but this was otherworldly. If anything else ever tops it, I'm convinced I'll have died and gone to heaven. The service was the best I've ever experienced. Richard greeted us cheerily and carried in all our bags, valet parked our car, and happily retrieved a few small items we'd left in the car door and brought them to our room. We were given a full tour of the room, and my boys were *thrilled* to see candy and stuffies waiting for them on the bed. At dinner in the Thomand, Matthew commented on the view from our room and greeted my boys by name. We were seated and cared for as though we were royalty. They surprised us and brought chocolate cake, complete with a candle and "happy 9th birthday" beautifully written in icing, and the server sang to my son during dinner! We were driven to and from the pool in the adjacent building whenever we wished, the rowboats on the pond are complimentary to use, and our falconry experience with Jack was a once in a lifetime experience we will treasure. Of course the castle and grounds itself are enchanting. A winding drive past gnarled, aged oak trees and a glistening pond set the tone for the stunning castle set behind them. It's beautifully furnished, landscaped, and decorated. The rooms strike a lovely balance of functionality, class, and welcoming warmth. I hope another Dromoland stay is in my future. :)

20/02/2026: If you find yourself in Doolin this is a great place to stop in for tasty pub food and a pint (or more - but heed the warning on the door). Law enforcement, bring your patches, they are posted throughout from all over the world. Enjoy!

15/02/2026: This was hands down my favorite pub in Ireland! The cottage pie was the best I've had, good drinks and great service (with good craic!). The music was exceptional and fun, and the crowd was a lot of fun. I only wish we could have stayed longer and gone back more often. The couple at the table next to us had been there every night for most of the week as it was their favorite pub in town.

15/03/2026: Irish lunch after visiting the Cliffs of Moher. This time I had the Irish beef stew with mashed potatoes. It was delicious, and it actually filled us up nicely. Along with the good food, I also had a pint of Open IPA. It cost between €20 and €25, leaving us feeling full and satisfied. Recommended.

25/01/2026: This restaurant is such a cute place! I’ve most delicious clam chowder soup & a very fresh garden salad. The service was excellent, friendly people and delicious food. Recommended! 🍲🥗

29/10/2025: Charming restaurant with delicious food. I was there at the end of July with my mother staying within walking distance of the restaurant, and it was one of the best meals we had during our 5 day trip in Ireland.

27/11/2025: This is a big cold, but they have the best sausage roll in all of Ireland. No greasy, or cheap sausage meat…full of rich flavour and delicious flaky pastry. The Portuguese Pastel de Nata, straight out of the oven was better than any I have had in Portugal…well at least as good as! Great coffee as well! Friendly people!

30/10/2025: Pleasant surprise finding baked goods of such high quality in such a small town, great coffee too!

06/01/2026: We had a wonderful meal...a lovely evening near the cliffs. Excellent live music.

02/01/2026: Have been here a couple of times , the food , the music , and of course the criac are all unbeatable here , my favourite places to go when I’m in lahinch ! And the aul fella in behind the bar always looks after us, Glen is his name I think

15/03/2026: We had a fantastic time at the Roadside Tavern. The "Burren Black" beer was excellent and paired perfectly with the delicious fish and chips we had! What better way to end the evening than listening to the musician who played guitar beautifully and had a lovely voice? The waitresses and waiters were very welcoming, everything was perfect, thank you!

04/03/2026: After a long day of walking along the cliffs of Moher, we decided to pop down to lahinch for a late lunch. Here we stumbled upon Danny Macs. Some of us to the daily special (fish chowder and buttered cod.) while the rest had standard menu options. Overall we where quiet surprised by the quality of the ingredients which was pristine, with the Guinness being quite goof as well. All the fish and meat was of high quality. With ribs that came straight off the bone. Everything severed with generous portions. One place which wasn’t as good was the Chips, which where a little undercooked and lacked that needed crunch. As well as one of us would have preferred more seasoning in the burger and for it to be less simple. Also a little too much salad with each dish.

12/03/2026: Great seafood chowder. Lots of fish in it and very tasty. The bread was also very good

13/03/2026: A great experience at this pub. Warm welcome, good beer, good food, and live music. The decor is stunning, a really great time!

09/03/2026: Lovely Irish pub with great Irish stew and great atmosphere with nice staff. We went for lunch but I imagine it would be a great place to have a night out.

23/02/2026: Absolutely top class. We visited Ballyvaughan this weekend as a large kayaking group with friends and family and ate both nights in Monks. The staff were lovely and very engaging, happy to make recommendations on the food and chat even though it was busy. The portions are very generous and the food quality is fantastic. There is probably only one place in Ireland where the fish, on the fish burger is actually bigger than the buns. Monks! The fish and chips was lovely on the first night and the fish pie I had the second night was out of this world. (Do yourself a favour and squeeze the lemon over the top) As a fussy Guinness drinker I don't often trust Guinness outside of a few select pubs. The Guinness in Monk's is absolutely fantastic. Cold and creamy. We were staying in a cottage beside it, but can only imagine staying here would be as top class as the staff, service and food. very child friendly too.

24/02/2026: All we heard was how friendly and warm the service was here. Well I guess the staff that provide the great and warm service were not working the evening we visited 😕

29/01/2026: Found this place by accident while looking for a place to eat. The service was quick and the fish and chips was very nice.

02/03/2026: Food good, however 126 euro for three people to have one starter, 3 pizzas and two desserts is off the wall. And then to look for an auto 12.5% tip is cheeky. Won't be back
