28/07/2025: We enjoyed a lovely evening meal in Moghal Indian Restaurant. Eugene took time to give us recommendations from the menu, depending on our likes and spiciness! He was not at all intrusive while we made our choices. We took Eugene's suggestions which did not disappoint, compliments to the chef, the food was delicious. You can bring your own beer or wine which was brilliant also. Each dish was freshly cooked, piping hot and really tasty. The ambience is relaxed and friendly, special thanks Eugene. Moghal Indian Restaurant in Bantry is well worth a visit as a sit down guest or for a takeaway.

29/06/2025: Stopped by Macroom on our way to Galway, and came across the Next Door Cafe on the main street. It is a great spot for a casual lunch. Food was fresh and well made, and the setting is comfortable and attractive.

The shop layout is very unusual for a cafe/retail outlet. Seating on tall stools for maybe 8 people other, lower height tables, used to merchandise and display goods for sale. We were in Gearoidins for 25 minutes during which time 12 tourists (4 couples & 1 family of 4) came in, looked for a seat, none to be found and left without buying anything. I can only think that the business aims more for the takeaway trade (including what appeared to be excellent full roasts dinners) than in cafe diners.
Well worth a visit (if you can find a seat)

03/03/2025: We have eaten here many times. The service was good, but 2 of us ordered lamb dishes and in both cases, the lamb was very tough..which was a pity as the rest of the meal was fine..
12/01/2025: Went to deli dar bar recently and although the food was good we couldn’t get over the fact that we were charged over 40 euro in service charge, this is an absolute disgrace, we were a tank of 6 adults and 4 children so we’re paying a quite substantial bill anyway, will not be back !!
