26/10/2024: Fabulous venue - nice food - small portions - expensive for what you get - lovely staff but not enough staff for such a busy restaurant.

06/10/2024: For the price the food is very average, the tuna starter for €16 was a few tiny shavings of fish and not that tasty, very disappointing. Main course average.

06/10/2024: A local recommend this pub to us as we were travelling and just passing through the town. It was the best food we ate out in the 2 weeks we were travelling in south Ireland. Food was exceptional. Fresh, fast and hot. We had Vol au Vents and wraps. Onion rings were delicious too

16/09/2024: Popped in the anchor and found it to be quite busy, not packed so had a calm atmosphere. The two members of staff who were working there were friendly and polite and a credit to the owners, nothing was too much trouble. Ordered falafel wrap and the Irish burger which were outstanding. Compliments to the chef.

11/08/2024: Food was fantastic but the lady running the place seemed to be in foul humour. She was beyond rude. Her staff were find but not terribly pleasant but that was hardly surprising if the boss was obnoxious to customers I can't imagine she treats staff well. We had booked a table for 6 but when she showed us in she said she was only expecting 5 so we'd have to squash in......the table was ample and had 6 settings. I just put it down to a mix-up. We waited 40mins to order and nobody would take it so one of our party went to the bar to ask if we could order. She was shouted at the they were very busy and there were people ahead of us and we had to wait our turn! Meanwhile the 2 tables who came in after us had already been served there starters!! Very strange behaviour. When the food came (90mins after we were seated) it was absolutely gorgeous, cannot fault the kitchen at all other than the delay. I just put it down to being very busy on a Thurs. As we left the Manager roared something after us about not leaving it 6mths before we visit again!! Literally the weirdest experience I've ever had in a restaurant. Maybe it's one of those places where you pay to get treated badly and roared at and that's what people go there for?? 🤔

06/08/2024: Lovely food and friendly service! Really enjoyed our evening. Lovely atmosphere. Not rushed at all. Gorgeous seafood and good wines. Will be back.

03/07/2024: The owner PHILIP RIELLY is very ignorant man. Me and my family has been going to the lisgrey this 30odd years The way we were and have been treated this number of months by himself is just disgusting. how he is still in business is Beyond us all. This man is well known for ignoring and been very ignorant to other people that has also supported his business for many years now. Me and my family will never step foot the the lisgrey house again.

22/05/2024: Loads of parking, spotlessly clean, really good service and food cooked to order. Generous portions and nicely presented Ate here in two occasions and food exceeded my expectations. Great people work here
