25/04/2025: Absolute peach of a pub. Lovely people, lovely fresh local food. Reasonable prices. Only downer is that it’s difficult to park. But worth trying!!

08/02/2025: Great food in a beautiful oldstyle pub, welcoming, friendly staff and locals and a blazing fire on a cold day. The chowder was delicious as was the brown bread and the calamari and prawns were as good as I have ever had.

12/07/2026: I wish I could give more than 5 stars for customer service, because they were amazing! We needed a room and everything in the region was fully booked. I checked here and was told they were just opening, so rooms weren't really ready yet. But then the manager called me back and explained that she'd try to help us out. She went way beyond the norm and we appreciated it. The facility is completely renovated in a charming way and the shower was wonderful. We had a great time in the town that evening. There are lots of small pubs with traditional and not so traditional music, full of local folks having a good time. Having a World Cup game on the TV in the background made it even more fun. The town is beautiful place to discover. The shopping was varied and not at all the normal tourist fare. The buildings were fascinating and don't miss a walk or drive back the road along the playing fields to the lake (a hidden jewel). Overall loved this experience.

05/08/2024: Mi amigo y yo salimos de un largo viaje a la ciudad y ambos necesitábamos usar el baño en el 108. Cuando salimos a pedir nuestras bebidas, el camarero dijo "no se puede usar el baño al mismo tiempo, no es una buena mirada", ambos pensamos inicialmente que estaba bromeando, pero para nuestra sorpresa en realidad era serio. Nunca en mi vida había experimentado algo así, y cuando preguntamos por qué era un problema nos dijeron que podíamos encontrar otro pub. Horrible camarero horrible y nunca volverá de nuevo.
