Anchor Down

26/09/2024: Sheehy's Anchor Down is a restaurant located in Dingle, the most important one in Dingle Penensula. We came here to have dinner last October and we could eat a soup of the day and a home made fisherman's pie, which were very good. Also we drank a Golden Ale beer from West Kerry Brewery, which is not so far from here. Very nice place, decoration and food.
18/08/2024: I'm surprised to see such rave reviews. Everywhere we've gone in Ireland we've been treated to excellent hospitality. Until we went to Sheehy's...We were greeted by a grumpy waitress who gave us the worst table in the house even though there were lots of open tables. When she brought us menus, they were out of shrimp and calamari and mussels and other fish. I ordered the Seafood Chowder which was good, but my husband got the Fish Pie, which looked like exactly the same thing with potatoes on top for way more money.

Anchor Bar

06/10/2024: A local recommend this pub to us as we were travelling and just passing through the town. It was the best food we ate out in the 2 weeks we were travelling in south Ireland. Food was exceptional. Fresh, fast and hot. We had Vol au Vents and wraps. Onion rings were delicious too
16/09/2024: Popped in the anchor and found it to be quite busy, not packed so had a calm atmosphere. The two members of staff who were working there were friendly and polite and a credit to the owners, nothing was too much trouble. Ordered falafel wrap and the Irish burger which were outstanding. Compliments to the chef.

Ashes

02/04/2025: We had the pleasure of an outstanding meal at Ashes restaurant during our stay in Dingle. It was our most delicious dinner of our weeklong visit to Ireland where we enjoyed a lot of good food. The restaurant is homey and comfortable with very friendly, genuine service. I so enjoyed the poached pear and blue cheese salad as well as the cracked crab claws - they were absolutely incredible! Others in our party liked the mussels and the risotto which was very special. We only ordered one meringue for dessert which was a huge mistake bc it was absolutely delicious and we were all fighting over it! Just a lovely evening. Thank you.

Lisgrey House

12/05/2025: We went here with a group of 30 special needs adults. Staff were so welcoming and accommodating. They even printed a smaller menu for us, so that the group could select their own food easily. The food was delicious and service was fast and efficient. The location is ideal for a stopover, - right on the N3. I highly recommend this restaurant.
27/04/2025: Had a fantastic experience in Lisgrey on April 24th. Was passing and decided to try it. Prompt, friendly, efficient are the only way to describe it. A great team of girls, all busy, but most pleasant. Food was super, and excellent value. Will definitely make a return.

18/09/2023: Dog friendly. Good food. Little expensive i thought but it was really nice flavour. Chicken gougons had a harf cripsy coating and the smash burger was really good. Order took a bit long but we'll worth the wait.
02/09/2023: Good food, friendly staff. I had "Squash bhaji" which was really good. Chips could have less or non salt, especially for kids meals.
