03/08/2025: We had a lovely dinner at The Lounge at Ballybunion and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The menu had plenty of choice, with something to suit everyone. The food was delicious — hearty portions, fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced. The Guinness was also excellent. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to enjoy a proper sit-down meal without feeling rushed. It’s clear that this is a place where locals and visitors alike feel at home. Highly recommend The Lounge for a family-friendly meal in Ballybunion — we’ll definitely be back.

19/07/2025: Arrived for a meal. Hadn’t been here for a number of years and was looking forward to a relaxing meal overlooking the course. When we arrived there were plenty of tables we would have liked but were told they wanted to keep us at one end of the restaurant and gave us a table directly under a TV which was far from relaxing. We moved to another table near but still amongst a crowd so did not get the relaxing experience we hoped for!!

07/07/2024: We had our wedding reception in St Kyrans on June 29th 2024. We cannot express how over the moon we were with the service provided. Firstly the venue is absolutely beautiful. We live locally and were so happy to celebrate our wedding with amazing views of lough ramor as the backdrop. We contacted Helena and Patrick about our wedding plans in May 2023 after getting engaged and from that moment onwards they could not have been more helpful. We had a BBQ style meal outside on the terrace and the sun shone down on all the guests as we took in the amazing views while we ate. We were absolutely blown away by the food and desserts served. As two foodies seeing everyone so satisfied with their meals was certainly one of the highlights of our night. I cannot keep track of how many guests contacted me afterwards to compliment the quality of the food. It was absolutely outstanding and on a whole other level to other wedding venues in our opinion. The venue did an amazing job of catering for all of our guests with dietary requirements and made sure guests were never left without a topped up drink in their hand. In the run up to the wedding Helena and Patrick helped us feel at ease by reassuring us that they had thought of every little detail. This meant we could relax on the day knowing our guests were taken care of. Some of our guests had cancelled flights the night before the wedding and arrived much later than planned. Helena went above and beyond for these guests stay up late to check them all in. We highly recommend St Kyrans as a wedding or party venue. Helena and Patrick are clearly passionate about what they do and provide an exceptional service with a warm personal touch.

19/10/2024: D'un point de vue français la façade ferait presque fuir (comme souvent en Irlande) mais il faut pousser la porte, c'est juste parfait à tous points de vue, ambiance, cuisine, rien à redire. J'ai fait beaucoup de pubs / restaurants en Irlande, celui-ci fait partie de mes préférés.

30/03/2024: Great coffee. Busy popular spot in Barna Village. The pancakes with yogurt and berries were great and copious serving. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating if weather good. Warm and cosy indoors when weather otherwise. Local staff and which is becoming the exception..keep up the good work

16/11/2024: I love this bar. Lovely vibe. Great to for a pint in the afternoon and the staff are generally lovely. However, my friend came here wasn’t drinking but had Guinness zero and was part of a larger group and 4 rounds in asked for another Guinness zero as part of the round, which the staff had earlier produced with no issue, change of bar staff and was told no Guinness Zero as it was located in the other section of the bar and to quote the bar man when questioned as to why Guinness Zero couldn’t be got, when the other staff members had provided it he said “I’m not that guy!” - clearly not, terrible experience!

11/07/2025: I have been going to Susie since it was in Charlestown . I’d come in with my colleagues almost every Friday since it was literally a block away from our office. Their location in Charlestown has been replaced with a new café that does not compare to Susie‘s at all! Susie’s bistro never disappoints 🙌🏼🙌🏼 from the dishes they serve to the friendly service I always leave knowing I’ll be back. Even with Suzie’s Bistro changing locations from Charlestown to the Tubbecurry Golf Course the food and service has never changed😊 Still, everyone is friendly and welcoming. The new location is spacious and most of the time their tables are reserved. Thankfully, last time I came on a Friday with one of my colleagues there was a two seat table available for us. The amount of food that I had lasted me all day. It was a perfect meal. And of course, I will definitely be back in the future 🤤

13/05/2025: EL pub en Dublín - Se siente como en casa! Histórico, encantador pub vintage de la vieja escuela con el famoso Snug! Seguro que el mejor pin Guinness (ssss) que he probado, tan fresco, cremoso y perfectamente aprovechado por bartenders muy agradables, amables y divertidos! Conocí nuevos amigos irlandeses nacidos y vivos en The Snug; ¡una de las mejores noches que he tenido! Como me dijo el muchacho irlandés: ¡Eres más irlandés que el ppl más irlandés!” ¡Gracias por recibirnos!

07/12/2024: The full Irish breakfast is one of the best I have ever had! Great creamy hot chocolate too (and I am a picky one!) The service was very friendly and we got served fast. Inside is very pretty and cosy. Thank you 🥰

23/09/2024: A great hidden gem I discovered. Nice food, but even better than the food was the customer service & attention to detail. These folks need to give classes on how to serve in a restaurant. Remarkable!! Oh, don't forget to buy some carrots for kiddos to feed the donkeys! Wait until you see the antiques shop. Get some farm fresh produce while you in there!

20/06/2024: Clean and friendly staff,food is frozen food heated up...I got ribs and chicken wings ..ribs where ok but a bit cool...chicken wings were nearly cold...the wife got chicken wings and hers were hardly heated..service was slow and no one came back after serving to see if everything was OK with food..I expect more for my money so I won't be back...
