19/04/2026: Excellent hotel, in a great location with really good food and friendly staff.

18/04/2026: Impossible to fault anything about our stay, from the moment we walked in until the moment we left everything was perfect. First off the staff absolute professionals, they made us feel like this was the hundredth time we'd visited and were old friends (and by the time we left we genuinely felt like we were). The building itself was impeccable, there was not one single thing out of place, not one item was in need of repair, not one thing that didn't work, looked shabby or had just been put down until someone gets back to it. You can just tell that this is a place that is run by people who really do care and it shows in every aspect of the stay. This is the type of place we'd come back to every year if we lived around this part of the world.

17/04/2026: Delicious food with an amazing view ! The staff was super nice, and gave us the perfect table by the window to watch the waves crash onto the beach and the sun set behind the mountain. The place is really cosy and chic and the vegetarian options are amazing. Don't miss out on this one of a kind restaurant !

12/04/2026: What a beautiful place, what wonderful food, loath to review and in case more people go! Cosy welcoming atmosphere, fire lit, storm abating outside and the sun going down, lighting the Skelligs out in the Atlantic.

11/04/2026: We took a group of 12 seniors down there yesterday it didn't make a difference if you had allergies was diabetic etc they had no intentions of helping all l wanted was a toasted chicken sandwich and chips l was told no (l couldn't eat what they had on the menu) the manager's were very rude and the reason they gave was they would have to slice a portion of chicken to make the sandwich l had no problem paying for the portion then they would not take bills individually they put it all together so we had to sit down and total up what each person owed it was a joke never in life will we go back there not just this group but our families also l have family living in Killarney and they used to go there all the time never again the 2 managers are horrible MEN??

Service was friendly and atmosphere was cosy. Highly recommend trying the Katsu Curry or Asian Fried Noodles! 🌟 Perfect spot for authentic Asian flavours in the heart of Killarney. 💖"

25/07/2025: Visited with my mum today and Pat’s Cafe truly exceeded our expectations! The staff were incredibly attentive and lovely from the moment we stepped in, making us feel right at home. The décor is tasteful and spotless, creating a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Our meals were fantastic—the portions were absolutely huge and delicious, perfect for anyone who loves great food. You couldn’t ask for nicer people or a better dining experience. The only tip I’d offer: bring cash, as it keeps things simple. A fantastic business we’ll be eager to return to!

09/04/2026: Very odd place. Not any real theme to the cuisine or the restaurant. Had a few Irish chicken dishes, a couple Thai selections and a few Italian selections. Service was friendly but just so so. We entered at what should have been a busy dinner time and the place was dead. After ordering, I can understand why. Long wait to get food and there was literally no one else in the building when we ordered. Wife ordered 2 appetizers, fried brie and seafood chowder. Both were good but nothing special. I had the roasted Monk fish wrapped in Ham w/muscles and prawn. Should have been called shrimp instead, they were very small as were the muscles. It was OK but overcooked. Rubbery and chewy. The decor was very chaotic as well. Just random oddities like a picture of Lyndon B Johnson with some unrecognizable people, an Indian Lamp, table cloths with French flur-de-lis. Just nothing fit together. I would not recommend this establishment. Enter at your own risk. You've been warned.

09/04/2026: I am not really sure about traditional irish but I don't think this is it. I had the seafood chowder and he had the monk fish. There was no real theme to the menu, some irish steaks, Thai food.... the inside is decorated worldly with no real irish theme. The tablecloths have Fleur De lis so I was a little stumped.

11/09/2025: I was in Dublin for the first time, walking about doing tourist things. I got hungry and Ryan’s pub was at hand. I didn’t Yelp or Google it beforehand because any old lunch would do. I had the chowder, which was magnificent. Being new to Ireland, I assumed all Irish chowder would be the same: wrong! A really standout meal!!!

21/03/2026: We stopped in on St. Patrick’s day after the parade and found it enjoyable. Shortly after arriving everyone broke out in traditional Irish songs and it was magical. We have stopped in a few times since and it is everything we remembered. What seemed like a left over folic ended up being the perfect pub for us. If you are traveling and want to meet locals, this is the perfect place.

05/10/2025: Great traditional pub in lovely surroundings. The history of Tom Crean was brilliant to see and so well laid out throughout the bar. I got lost just reading all about his exploits all over again. The drink was great too!
