29/09/2024: I gave this place the benefit of the doubt once but haven’t tried twice more I will give up. Had a steak one evening which was lukewarm at best, as was the sides. I tried the carvery lunch and while it was much better, I was hungry leaving as it was very small. I had the breakfast yesterday morning and again it was barely warm and served with lukewarm warm coffee. This place really needs a manager that knows what they’re at as it cant last with those standards. I really do hope they can get there act together as it’s fine building.

08/09/2024: We had lunch yesterday. Roast pork was full of fat. My son had beef. No taste to it. Even gravy wasn't nice. Very disappointed. Won't be going back.

04/06/2024: Great pub atmosphere and excellent food and service. I had the fish and chips which was delicious, fresh, hot and a huge portion. A fun place.

21/09/2024: The seafood here was excellent - we had calamari, lobster and crab claws and all were very well cooked and extremely tasty. Also found a nice white wine that was reasonably priced. Service was also prompt and friendly. Would have scored 5 stars but they charge for tap water - why do this?!

21/09/2024: Amazing service and great food. Every one of the servers were so helpful. They gave great suggestions and were always checking on us. We had both types of oysters. They were so good. The lobster was so fresh. The garlic butter topped it off. We had crab mornay that was delicious. Of course the Guinness was great too.

21/09/2024: Best restaurant ever I got the prawn pil-pil not much of a spice lover but I just had to ask to get it without spice. Staf unbelievably nice. I brought my mam she's 81 and still had a blast. No complains they had a colouring book for the kids sweets as well for them.

30/08/2024: Went for lunch on way to Coldplay concert in Dublin , food and staff were amazing, I will definitely return any time im heading to Dublin

13/10/2024: On a 3-friend tour of Ireland, our day of outdoor scheduled events had to be scrubbed. Silver lining is I would have never visited Muckross Garden Restaurant otherwise! I had a simple but very good potato soup and a plate of 3 chocolate éclair puffs. It's one of two places we went in all of Ireland with a soda fountain machine. Got a Diet Coke. The self-select hot meals smelled and looked fantastic. The selection of house made desserts was staggering. The atmosphere is casual elevated comfort. Everyone very nice. The adjacent gift shop is a good one! You won't be disappointed!

28/09/2024: Muckross Garden Restaurant is located close to the Muckross House in Killarney National Park, in Western Ireland. We came here to have breakfast a chicken sandwich, a cake and a cappuccino. All of them were ok, a pragmatic breakfast to begin the day visiting the Muckross area.

08/08/2024: Return visit to this hotel. Disappointed with a few things. Felt the outside area very unclean, and considering its the first thing people see, the dirty plates,empty glasses left for over an hour at unattended tables was so unappealing. It certainly wasn't down to lack of staff as there appeared to be sufficient amount of them working. And while the bar staff attentive and friendly, wait staff could absolutely do with some tips on customer service,they all looked fed up, like they didn't want to be there and not a bit welcoming or engaging. Would not stay again. Such a fabulous location and could be excellent unfortunately felt it had gone down hill from previous years. On a side note paying only cash for meals screams Dodgy and customers should be informed before ordering.

15/07/2024: Pensé que podríamos cenar aquí... olvídalo. Bar muy ruidoso gracias a los varios televisores salpicados a todo volumen. Cuando le pregunté a la camarera si podíamos conseguir una mesa me dijeron que "no tenía ni idea, pregunte al personal del comedor". El 'comedor' consistía en muebles baratos parecidos a una cafetería de la escuela sin personal a la vista, así que esperamos y esperamos, pero nadie se acercó a nosotros. La clientela que estaba comiendo allí (descubrimos mientras esperábamos) consistía en una gran familia de la comunidad itinerante!! Hemos dado marcha atrás rápidamente y sin duda nunca volverá. ¡El lugar es lo que mi hija describió como "una inmersión"!

16/06/2024: If you're in town to see the castle (of course you are) and want to get good food without getting sucked into a tourist trap, you'll want to go to Christy's. The seafood chowder and brown bread were excellent, as were the sandwiches. Wait staff super, super nice. Would go again!

09/06/2024: Establishment allowed male server to work with a bad cold. Red nose and sneezing! We should have just left but took our chances.Maybe a coincidence but 24-36 hours later my throat was scratchy and now sick with a cold. Whether he was the cause or not who knows, but a server should not be allowed to work with obvious signs of illness.

12/06/2024: Service in the Danu restaurant was terrible! Food was great! I asked about the pencil 3 times, because they forgot to give us! I ordered pasta with sauce on the side for my daughter and came together :( The waitress only said “I am sorry” because the restaurant was busy, but I didn't agree, as there were a lot of empty tables! The staff are not prepared. About the bill had the wrong value, the waiter adjusted twice and it was wrong again... the third time he printed the bill correct with the right value. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant

27/05/2024: Der Seafood Chouder als Vorspeise war lecker und auch der Fisch zum Hauptgang. Beilagengemüse und Kartoffelbrei waren aufgewärmt und geschmacklos. Insgesamt OK aber nicht herausragend.
