24/10/2024: always been an amazing spot, had a really rich chocolate cake w my mom and we absolutely loved it( my vanilla chai was also amazing) ! i’m specifically writing this review to compliment the worker who accomodated us!! Her name’s Zofia and she had the most pleasant attitude, so incredibly attentive and helpful. She runs around the place helping everyone with a smile on her face with the fastest service! Just felt like her efforts should be commended as she really puts in effort and does it with a smile 💓💓 Top class work!!

06/10/2024: Good assortment of well-prepared and tasty takeaway dishes at reasonable prices. We bought the shepherd's pie, tomato basil soup, and a loaf of fresh-made white bread. We had two full diners for four people out of what we ordered.

23/06/2024: So disappointed in the carrickdale secret garden food these days, it has no taste and is reheated. Myself and my partner ordered sandwiches (wraps) and they came out in a few minutes, you could tell the wedges were sitting there all day. It costed us 40 euro and we would have been safer eating a McDonald’s. Wish carrickdale secret garden, bar and carvey would be given the attention it deserves as it used to be given years ago the food was gorgeous.

31/03/2024: Went with my other half and mum for my birthday and it was fantastic and the staff couldn't have been lovelier. Always a treat to come for the carvery and it was terrific as usual. Mum needed a wee bit of assistance and the staff couldn't have done more for us. The food BTW was excellent. The roasts were very tender and tasty. The portion sizes are huge and one meal would easily feed two. Really lovely place and the staff are just terrific and incredibly friendly - love it!

La mejor parte fue el servicio - Pablo fue más allá para asegurar que disfrutamos de nuestra estancia e incluso dio recomendaciones para asegurar que disfrutamos de los mejores lugares de la ciudad. Gracias Corrib house! ¡Volveremos!

04/03/2025: Very small portions for high prices. Shrinkflation siuation here. Not happy. They use small plates to lesson quantity. Unfair.

22/01/2025: Had lunch here today. Average lunch price is €17. The fish pie was basically a tiny piece of cod in a dish covered with breadcrumbs and was tasteless. My companion had the beef. The veg and potatoes are put on the plate very sparingly, portions very small. Lunch here is not worth the money.

30/01/2025: If you're looking for a nice spot for the a date or celebration, The Orangery is a great choice. The food was fantastic and the setting was beautiful.

19/01/2025: Johnny Burke's bar at the Amada in Spanish Point is brilliant. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are welcoming and delightful. The food menu is very good indeed. Spectacular location, spectacular staff.

20/11/2024: What wonderful service, atmosphere, food, and drinks! It is an authentic spot in the Armada Hotel. We were not expecting the cozy snug and the pub.

28/02/2025: Visité con un amigo para tomar café y un bollo hoy. Entramos a ordenar y aconsejamos al personal que estábamos sentados fuera, ya que mi amigo es un fumador. Nos dijeron que alguien vendría y tomaría nuestra orden. 10 minutos después volví a entrar a pedir ya que nadie ha venido a nosotros, me avisaron que alguien estaría con nosotros en breve. Un miembro del personal vino a tomar nuestro pedido de café y bollo. Llegó café y un plato con cuchillos y servilletas pero sin bollo. Bebimos nuestro café mientras charlamos y todavía no hay bollos. Fui a pagar al personal de asesoramiento que no recibimos nuestro pedido correcto. Una respuesta sorprendida de un miembro del personal pero sin disculpas. Sé que no estábamos gastando mucho, pero éramos clientes como todos los demás y deberíamos haber sido tratados un poco mejor. He comido muchos desayunos, almuerzos y cenas en Silver Key, pero después del mal servicio al cliente de hoy no tendré prisa de regreso.

23/01/2025: Pedimos los mini desayunos, sin embargo, nos parecieron decepcionantes. Cuando llegó el plato olía a aceite de cocina poco atractivo. El tocino frito era sabroso, pero estaba goteando en aceite, en general la calidad de los ingredientes era más 'gasolinera' que restaurante. Podría haberlo hecho sin las patatas.

18/04/2025: All the dish we had were AMAZING! The prawn cocktail was delicious. The Dover Sole was beautifully deboned….We couldn’t decide on dessert, so we ordered all 4….divine!!!

08/03/2025: Excellent dining experience. Fabulous food, wonderful convivial atmosphere and warm friendly staff. We would highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

16/07/2024: When we arrived at 11.35 we were told that the breakfast menu was finished, but if we wanted to take a seat they would get us the lunch menus. We waited half an hour before the menus were printed and bright over. There was black dots floating in the drinking water so I had to order different water. Finally, when we did order from the freshly printed menu not all choices were available.

14/07/2024: Thatch and thyme can be great for a catchup coffee with friends or to break up a long journey. Unfortunately it's not consistent. Negatives first which hopefully can be reviewed and improved. Eggs Benedict, royal and similar are always tasty but the baps are always soggy, not sure is this from water off the egg or the sauce. Got the porridge recently and was expecting fruit compote, honey and muesli, received slightly undercooked porridge, tiny bowl of 1-2 cut strawberries, few seeds in another bowl. No honey. No cutlery. A friend got the açaí smoothie bowl, with fruit, coconut and muesli. Muesli was missing, didn't taste like açaí and was super runny. It did taste nice, presentation was lacking,the fruit had sunk to the bottom. The salmon and chicken salad plates can often be a bit dry around the edges. There is no baby changing table in the bathroom? The baby chairs do not seem like restaurant quality and are very unsteady on the natural floor. They are also filthy. I don't think the straps have ever been washed. Some of the clips to hold the tray were broken. Positives: On a good day the fish is cooked perfectly, the menu has great options, lovely salads. Coffee is really good. Hake when it's on is to die for, flavors all compliment each other. Open sandwich on their brown bread is so filling. Goats cheese tart and beetroot is really tasty. Has real depth to the taste. The flagstone floor adds character and is probably a nightmare to clean but it is kept tidy considering. The outside area is lovely with fresh herbs growing and for a small area they have done a fantastic job.

02/10/2024: A great place for a pint and a chat. Bar staff and locals very friendly. Guinness top class... Great music on a Sunday night. Long way from Australia/Kilkenny but we will definitely be back...

18/08/2024: We came here for a night away, food was gorgeous, the guy on reception was an absolute gent, and Aisha and Davi went above and beyond for us, they do not get enough credit for all they do ,❤️

01/02/2025: I'm sorry but this place is quite over rated. Eye wateringly expensive. €8.20 for a beer. €20 for a dry "halfpound" burger that was clearly a reheat. Soggy batter on the expensive fish dish. I'm not sure this food is cooked on site, even the chips were like dry cardboard. Felt like they'd been reheated multiple times. It's Dublin city prices ffor below average fare. We were in at a quiet time and service was ok but the place was still empty. In summary it's a nice ambient and staff are ok but the food is just not good and it's extremely expensive for what it is

26/01/2025: Delighted the sea food chowder here was gluten free as I have had a run of bad luck with other venues not being able to serve Coeliac's chowder. It was one of the best sea food chowders I have had...probably in years, full of chunky fish pieces and really creamy, I intend to travel out of my way in the future just to return for the chowder :) Lovely set up inside, fire was on, very reasonably priced, the staff were attentive and friendly. Caffrey's is one to pop in to.
