26/10/2024: Booked a table. Arrived nothing available. Waited while they basically apologised but made no effort. Left had I not turned up for a booking I would have been guilty

30/07/2024: stayed in a tent in the campsite. The location is lovely and picturesque. Bar is on-site and large covered patio is somewhere to go if it rains. Clean toilets and shower area. The negatives are that there was no one 'in charge'. Children shouting and making noise at 12 oclock at night. No kitchen facilities only a sink, not even a fridge. Site is quite wet, even in July. This is more suited for caravans/motor homes.

21/04/2025: We happened to be passing by on a drive & thought we'd chance popping in for a snack. We kinda were left standing for a while, staff seemed disorganised or disinterested. We got a seat at the bar and ordered two starter choices, a smoked haddock & leek chowder and a special of the day Annagason razor clams. The chowder was so bland, no taste of smoked fish at all & the razor clams, all 4 of them, tasted of pretty much nothing. Asked at close by table could I take their pepper as we hadn't got any. Very disappointed, certainly wouldn't be eager to rush back.

12/04/2025: It is with regret that I write this post. For my birthday my husband chose to go to the Glyde Inn Restaurant. When we arrived, we went into the restaurant and were told that we couldn’t sit there. We could only sit outside or in the bar. I found it hard to understand as the staff had to walk through the restaurant to serve the people outside. We had chosen the restaurant because of the view and on several other occasions having visited for lunch we were seated at the window. We ended up in the bar. I chose to have fish and chips when it arrived It was just covered in oil and the chips were overcooked I used three napkins to try and dry off the access oil. When I said it to the waiter that I had eaten here before and the food had been excellent he just said “perhaps you will come back when we change our menu”. I felt like saying you need to change your oil first and chief. We waited for a while thinking that the waiter would come back and ask us did we want to order any desserts or coffee. This didn’t happen so we decided to leave on a brighter note my husband had the burger and chips he certainly enjoyed his burger but not the overcooked oily chips. Overall it was a very very disappointing birthday lunch experience. Will I go back? The answer is no.

14/05/2025: Lovely restaurant at a hotel. We had no reservation but we got a table as it wasn't too busy, and the staff was very helpful. We went for a dinner, and the food was delicious - the lamb as well as the seabass. The atmosphere is also very cozy and romantic. I can only recommend this place if you are staying at a hotel or driving by

13/12/2024: Food was decent. Staff nice, but very unaware and not very attentive. Took 20 minutes to order dessert after mains due to staff not noticing we were finished mains. Asked for dessert menu, but had to ask a second time and a different staff member. When eventually got the dessert menu the staff member did not follow up to take order. Had to wait and try get attention of another staff member. Wasted about 20 minutes in total. Bizarre carry on 😅

23/04/2024: This is a lovely hotel we stayed last Saturday night it was extremely busy 3 functions going on which we didn't mind. But they did not give us the hotel room which I booked but rather put us in a log cabin on arrival we were informed we got a upgrade which to honest wasn't in our opinion the bed was a very small double and typical of Ireland badly finished no point having sink tables chairs and kettle if u have no fridge or microwave. This was OK for us wecwere only staying overnight but we booked a table for 2 on arrival for 7.30 but it wasn't kept so we ended up eating very late near to 9 o clock. It was a lovely meal in fairness but overall we felt a bit cheated surely they should ring u if they don't have the room u booked and then when leaving I got told the bill was 222 euros great I said but it wasn't there was 254 euros taken from account they added on tax of 23% and 13.5% should have been said. As a result I would nt come back shame.

06/02/2025: Great, tasty açai bowls, extremely friendly and kind staff.Fabulous coffee! Couldn’t recommend more, best cafe I’ve been to in Wexford! Beautiful and charming interior

09/11/2024: The food was amazing, the staff were so friendly & helpful. There was over 20 of us & all our food came out at the same time We were all very looked after

14/04/2025: Great menu selection, we each had a different menu item and all were good. Servers were delightful. Good atmospher. Nice separation between dining area and bars. Good choice if in the area. Only caution there is a 2 and 3 course offer that excludes the higher priced items so it actually costs more then ordering Ala carte.

03/02/2025: Wings where good. Down hill after that. They forgot the drinks order. The burgers was just covered in sauce and raw bacon. Bacon and cheese fries was a joke. Fries with small rubbery pieces of bacon with grated cheese over them and melted in microwave. We took the cheese off and ask for more just to confirm our thoughts and the plate comes back scolding after been put back in the micro with more grated cheese. Disgusting. Sack the chef

20/04/2025: We had a family lunch on Easter Sunday in Hugo’s Restaurant. Rayon and Saibhe provided excellent service. The food was delicious and the set menu was good value. There was entertainment for children in the hotel ballroom which was a nice touch and my daughter loved the face-painting and balloon making. Overall a lovely lunch experience.

26/03/2025: Went there with friends for a late lunch today . The food was very enjoyable and the staff were so attentive. Really enjoyed the experience .

06/02/2025: Un peu vide et froid (ambiance hein pas chauffage) pour le déjeuner mais la cuisine était standard. Un curry un peu banal mais correct. Bonne bière. Si on est pressé ca vaut le coup parce qu'il serve toute la journée sinon cherchez autre chose si vous avez le temps

04/08/2024: Great mix of locals. Very nice place to sit and relax with a pint. Bridget also makes a good Irish stew. Live music from time to time and located bang in the centre of town

04/11/2024: Never had a bad meal on passing through Bunclody & stopping at the Rivers Edge, BUT yesterday s sun lunch was 50/50 my husband had Beef & was lovely I had lamb and to say it was the worst Lamb & portion I ever had, it was shockingly bad, 3 less than half slices that were so thin nearly see through they were so thin!! I mentioned to the server when asked, €17.00! This needs your attention Rivers Edge!!

19/09/2024: Absolutely amazing food! aswell as a cosy and welcoming environment and the staff couldn’t have been nicer ! definitely will be back !!
