01/09/2023: Food not great, service awful lost our order drinks arrived after food. Birds flying around pooping on tables. Will not be back. Give it a miss

04/08/2023: Lovely meal well served by very efficient and friendly staff. Extremely busy when we were there and service was still speedy. We'll be back.

15/09/2024: Tengo un regalo de un vale para Mt. Juliet. Traje 2 amigos para el almuerzo la semana pasada a la Casa Club. Mis amigos habían pasado por muchas cosas últimamente y se pretendía que fueran a Mount Juliet. Qué decepción. Sándwich y sopa. Había brindado especial. Pequeño y poco relleno. Buena sopa. Desierto - uno encantador. El mío, pedí una ensalada de frutas. Lo que vino fueron unos trozos de melón y algunas moras. Le pregunté si había jugo de ensalada de frutas o una naranja que pudiera exprimir en él. Se fue y regresó con crema y algo más. La crema era de una lata. Lo que empeoró esto fue que nos dijo que había estado en la casa principal en busca de ella. Ese sería el Monte Julieta principal Restaurante que es un 5 estrellas. Bueno, decir que estábamos decepcionados fue una eufemismo. Me quedé sintiendo muy arrepentido de haber elegido gastar mi tarjeta de regalo en el restaurante del club de golf. 08/03/2025: Went with family for dinner last night. The food was excellent from starters to deserts the portions were very generous. The atmosphere was great in the lovely open space. From booking to leaving the staff were wonderful with all 11 of us agreeing it would be hard to beat. Thanks for a fantastic evening.

08/02/2025: This is our go to as locals. The food is always top quality and the portion sizes are such great value for money. Have been at least 3 times within the last couple of months and collectively had a handful of things from the menu and cannot fault any of it. We also appreciate the fact that you can get any of the mains as half portions, because then my daughter can get anything she wants from the main/specials menu without being limited to the usual "kids meals". The only small thing would be that there are no roast potatoes on the roasts, but that doesn't stop us from coming back. We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere too. Overall very happy customers and will continue going back.

14/07/2024: Tuvimos un tiempo increíble en el brunch sin fondo. El servicio fue absolutamente increíble, y el DJ realmente añadió a toda la experiencia. Muy recomendable

19/06/2024: Honestamente, no puedo entender la alta calificación que este lugar ha logrado. Estábamos de despedida de soltera y reservamos las 2: 30 Ranura de almuerzo sin fondo el sábado. Era un manicomio absoluto con la música por las nubes. Terrible comida, asqueroso efervescente y cócteles acuosos. El comedor es una larga habitación estrecha oscura sin cubiertas en las mesas y sillas de mala calidad. Nos fuimos después de una hora. Si usted está pensando en reservar esto, debe conseguir uno de su grupo para ir primero para comprobarlo.

08/09/2024: Called into Nellie’s. The 4of us for a few drinks were made very welcome by the proprietor Nellie we had more than a few. Because the atmosphere. Of a traditional Irish pub is so relaxing. , we returned the next nite and an impromptu sing a long started. A great nite was had by all we will be back thanks Nellie

18/09/2024: Been a few time in the Tara Hotel Resturant but the last time for lunch with my wife,the lunch was very poor.I had a fish pie which was almost devoid of any fish,in fact it was probably the remnants of chowder with a 2 1/2 inch topping of cheesy mash minus the cheese .My wife had a open prawn sandwich which consisted of prawn Marie rose with little to no sauce and pretty tired looking salad. To round it off we got a portion of chips which numbered about12 chips for the bargain price of €5.Wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here,just about anywhere else in Donegal is better than this place,standard of cooking is shocking

06/09/2024: I used to eat here whenever I am in Donegal. It used to be really good food. Unfortunately things have changed. I was in recently for dinner. I ordered a salad. The leaves were rotten and slimy. What was delivered to the table was not what was on the menu. My husband ordered Fish and Chips. The fish was soggy and tasteless, the chips were terrible. You could taste that the oil from the fryer needs to be changed. Just very disappointed and not happy about having to pay for such bad food.

26/10/2024: Booked a table. Arrived nothing available. Waited while they basically apologised but made no effort. Left had I not turned up for a booking I would have been guilty

30/07/2024: stayed in a tent in the campsite. The location is lovely and picturesque. Bar is on-site and large covered patio is somewhere to go if it rains. Clean toilets and shower area. The negatives are that there was no one 'in charge'. Children shouting and making noise at 12 oclock at night. No kitchen facilities only a sink, not even a fridge. Site is quite wet, even in July. This is more suited for caravans/motor homes.
