15/07/2025: This bar has disimproved over the last few years. Still much better than Hacketts (full of poseurs) opposite and has a reasonable selection of drinks. Needs a loving hand to bring it back to what it was.

10/01/2026: Excellent pub style grub. Great for a large group, lovely staff and all on a brilliant golf course

05/08/2026: Great drinks, great services, great ambient. Conveniently located inside the Muckross Park Hotel.

14/05/2026: We went here just for one cocktail after dinner at the Yew Tree and found a relaxed atmosphere with a piano player and fireplace in the main room and besides a smaller, more pub-like room with a TV on a Sports program, so one can choose according to the mood. Great waiter and good cocktails, bit expensive of course but fine for once on a special occassion.

21/07/2025: Pescado y patatas fritas, ningún pescado solo rebozado en aceite las patatas fritas no eran tan malas para ser justos sin embargo tengo que decir Entra bajo tu propio riesgo. 🙏

03/08/2026: Good value for the money, proper burger with excellent fries. Cold beer and friendly staff.

19/06/2026: They now serve food from Friday to Sunday. Food was very good and the price definitely worth the portion. Brownie was out of this world.

10/06/2025: We had a group of 14 where the food, the service and the ambience were impecable. All the food was excellent, my rack of lamb was rare as I ordered and everyone was raving about the food. The service was also great. I don’t think our guest experienced anything different from a party of 6 or 8. The food was timely and arrived generally at the same time. This was enough to create a great evening but the ambience was even better. We started in the private bar, moved to the beautiful dining room with a view of the medieval tower and the Atlantic. At sunset we were treated to a beautiful sunset over the Atlantic in the West of Ireland

06/02/2026: Had lunch, dinner and breakfast as stayed there recently and could not fault any of the meals. Very nice, solid, tasty dishes and presented well. Staff very nice and attentive. Would recommend The Courtyard if in the area.
