The best restaurants

26/02/2025: La comida era absolutamente deliciosa comida de buena calidad , los dos tuvimos pollo y fue fabuloso, los dips que tuvimos fueron queso azul y ajo mayo , estaban sk bueno hemos comprado algunos para llevar a casa . La única desventaja era que los asientos tenían daños en la cubierta y el lugar parecía un poco cansado. Pero en general fabulosa experiencia

02/01/2025: Abbiamo trovato questo ristorante proprio davanti al Castello di Dublino . Locale anno 50 stile americano ,piatti tipici da fast food americano . Personale molto gentile e veloce e piatti con rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo e fritti fatti veramente molto bene come gli anelli di cipolla . Consigliato per un panino veloce

23/02/2025: Arrived at the end of the carvery when everything looked dried up. Chef said we weren’t allowed order from Snack menu. Too early apparently. The beef was grey. Against better judgement I ordered it. Probably the worst Carvery I’ve ever had. The place looked pretty empty too. I’ll drive past next time.

19/01/2025: Been a regular customer of Dooleys since they opened 15/16 years ago. Looked forward to Breakfast on Saturday 18th Jan, first visit in 2025. Found the menu had changed and couldn't swap out items any longer. Build your own breakfast was way over priced per item. This is a new addition to the menu. One of my party often got Sausage and Chips but Chips was now off the menu for Breakfast even when close to lunchtime. The quality of the food was horrendous which is a new departure for them. The food came out very quick and was very dry. It was pre cooked and just reheated. The breakfast was always cooked fresh but it was awful this time and will not be back in a hurry.

12/01/2025: Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Mill Wheel bar and restaurant For the brilliant service we received , the food was superb and the staff we very friendly , Would highly recommend for drinks and superb dishes , will be returning , All the management and staff at Soundstore Midleton.

29/12/2024: Whilst food was good the portion size was poor. Value for money - zero! Had been there with group for Sun lunch a week earlier which was good but vegetable portion was very small.

04/06/2024: Great pub atmosphere and excellent food and service. I had the fish and chips which was delicious, fresh, hot and a huge portion. A fun place.

12/01/2025: This was our first visit to King Sitric and unfortunately, it will be our last. Extremely disappointing. Garlic prawns were undercooked & lacked any flavour. The fish & chips were what you'd expect from Donegal Catch, not a 4* restaurant/hotel. Soggy chips, tastleless. The calamari was anaemic, not golden fried. Mayo, aioli & tartare sauces were all bizarre - more like bland white sauce than mayo. Disappointing creme brulee, taste was nice but the texture was curdled. The tempura prawns were nice, as were the mussels. Such a let down.

05/01/2025: Lovely, cosy surroundings for fresh and tasty seafood after a long, coastal walk. Fire was very welcome, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the menu was wonderfully fresh and tasty. Pleasant and relaxed feel. Thank you!

24/07/2024: 2.5/5. We were looking forward to eating here after reading great reviews but unfortunately it wasn't a good experience for us. The restaurant wasn't very busy but there was a table of six ladies near us who were so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. Service was slow but Lachlan did look after us well. There was a table next to us that was left uncleared for the whole evening. We had a prawn starter to share which was good. My husband had steak and veg which he was happy with. I ordered Carticco - seafood pasta. The seafood was ok although I didn't eat a few mussels because they weren't fully open. But the pasta was too thick and heavy. I make far nicer pasta at home all the time. I left most of it. Disappointing for our last night in Westport. Lachlan took it off the bill which we appreciate. I was going to try a dessert but didn't after that.

07/06/2024: After hiking diamond hill at the Connemara np we had starters for dinner. Delicious. avocado and prawns, bruschetta, ravioli, and garlic bread Italian style. Mmmmmmm. Perfecto!
