The best restaurants

23/03/2025: Called this evening at 7:25 pm to a restaurant with approx 15 people eating their be told the kitchen was closed! Disappointed as on the website and on the wall outside it says serving food until 8pm.

14/06/2025: Nos alojamos en el hotel y terminamos comiendo aquí varias veces - cada comida era consistentemente delicioso! Se puede pedir en el restaurante o en el menú del bar, y ambos ofrecen fantásticas opciones. El curry tailandés amarillo era absolutamente fenomenal, rico, sabroso y bellamente equilibrado. El pescado y las patatas fritas estaban perfectamente crujientes, y las patatas fritas fueron algunas de las mejores que hemos tenido. ¿Pero el sobresaliente? La costilla de res irlandesa — tierna, jugosa y babosa — ¡digna! Como alguien que no tiene gluten, me emocionó ver un montón de opciones claramente marcadas sin gluten en los menús principales. La única pequeña desventaja eran los limitados postres sin gluten, pero la calidad de todo lo demás lo compensaba con creces. El servicio fue excepcional en todo momento - amable, profesional y atento. El lugar en sí es cómodo y decorado con buen gusto, por lo que es un gran lugar para relajarse y disfrutar de una comida. Recomiendo encarecidamente si se aloja en el hotel o simplemente en busca de una buena comida en la zona!

03/06/2025: No estábamos listos para lo buena que era esta comida. El trampolín de The Kingsley nos dejó boquiabiertos, con las manos abajo la mejor comida que hemos probado. Declaración audaz, pero nos atenemos a ella. ¿Los sabores? Perfecto. ¿El chapado? Gorgeous. ¿La experiencia? Inolvidable. Volveríamos a Cork solo para comer aquí de nuevo, sin duda. Como vegano y aficionado a la comida sin gluten, estoy acostumbrado a la rutina de “puedes tomar la ensalada”. ¡Pero aquí no! El menú de Springboard estaba claramente etiquetado, súper inclusivo y lleno de opciones que eran realmente emocionantes y deliciosas. Sin compromisos, solo sabor de nivel próximo. El ambiente era elegante sin ser congestionado, con unas vistas preciosas del río Lee que configuraban el escenario perfecto para una cena romántica (o en nuestro caso, una segunda onda de luna de miel 💕). Si tuviéramos una pequeña nota — tomó un poco de esfuerzo llamar la atención de un servidor y las cosas se movieron lentamente a veces. ¿Pero honestamente? La comida era tan ridículamente buena, que no nos importaba. Vale cada segundo. ¿En resumen? El trampolín es imprescindible. Venga por la comida, quédese a disfrutar de la vista y salga soñando con lo que pedirá la próxima vez. Porque confía en nosotros, habrá una próxima vez. ¡Volaríamos de Canadá a Irlanda solo para comer aquí de nuevo!

17/06/2025: Busy busy busy but this small eatery was well worth the wait - absolutely delicious chicken pie and Quiche but served with a lovely mixed salad - very reasonable and very tasty. Will definitely be back and would recommend - remember it was busy but that's a good sign

16/04/2025: First timers and 3 generations had a bite to eat here after over 2 hours in Tropical World. We had cooled down whilst waiting for the children to run themselves ragged in the covered but outdoor play area. On entering the cafe, it was warm and inviting until we spotted people leaving a table and went to make a move to get it and were informed of the queuing system for a table by a staff member and a couple in front of us who would get the table. We waited probably about 5 minutes for another table to be vacated: it felt quite long with 2 children aged 6 and under who were hopping from one foot to the other. In the meantime, we ordered a latte €3.50, cappuccino €3.50, 2 fruit shoots (€1.50 each), one chocolate brownie €3, one coffee cake €3 and a slice of lemon meringue €4.95. Coffees and tray bakes were very good but star of the show was the lemon meringue which was DIVINE. Overall, I thought here was quite reasonable given the climate. We thawed out, warmed up and got our sugar hit and rolled out of here. We would return maybe for some quiche next time and definitely some lemon meringue 🍋😋.

05/10/2025: Tasty food, caring staff, and a charming atmosphere. A delightful lunch stop that went above expectations—definitely worth revisiting. Food: We ordered a cheeseburger and the daily special: chicken & ham. For a pub-style burger, it was quite decent. The chicken & ham dish was perfect, though I had to skip the mashed potatoes and stuffing due to dietary reasons, and swapped them for French fries instead. Everything I could eat was tasty and well-prepared. The portion sizes were just right, satisfying without being too heavy. The only slight letdown was that the daily special mentioned “vegetables,” but none were served on the plate. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Drinks: We only had water on this occasion, so there’s nothing to comment on here. Rating: N/A ⭐️ Staff: The staff member serving us was excellent, very helpful and attentive to my allergies, even giving recommendations on what to avoid or substitute. Service was quick and friendly. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Environment: The place has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, with soft background music that made it easy to enjoy conversation. Rating: N/A ⭐️ Value for Money: A pleasant surprise! The food quality exceeded expectations for a casual lunch stop. If we’re ever back in the area, we’d happily return. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Extras: • There was a wedding taking place at the hotel that day; worth noting if you’re looking for a wedding venue. • There were goats and alpacas/llamas out front, which added a fun and unique touch! (Not sure if they’re meant to be petted, though.) ✅ Overall Rating: 5.0/5 ⭐️ (based on categories rated)

04/05/2025: Fabulous food, cannot praise this restaurant enough. It was delicious and very reasonably priced. I would definitely pay more! Had a wonderful time from start to finish

28/05/2025: We travel a distance to eat here and it never disappoints. Lovely friendly staff, amazing food. Highly recommend the butter chicken or Chicken pomegranate. Mouth watering, good portions and excellent value for money.

27/05/2025: The first time here and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and service...and the owner Mohammed remembered us from 20 odd yrs ago in Belfast...lovely ambient restaurant with lovely staff...highly recommend....
