I and E shop
Sligo
03/06/2025: The best sweets shop we came across in our Ireland roadtrip. The sweets and candy were fresh and they had so many options! Very well priced as well, we got a full bag for 4€. Highly recommend checking out! Lots of options for everyone.
28/03/2025: Best candy store that we found in Ireland. You step in the door and it's immediately a blast to the past with the glass counter with drawers for them to give you whatever you are looking for by weight, along with all of the oldies / goodies that you haven't seen on a shelf in a while, mixed with some amazing chocolates.
The conversation with the mom / son duo about where we were from and our itinerary was great and they even offered a few tips that altered some of the end plans for the end of our trip and I'm so grateful.
We will definitely return the next time we are in Ireland.

20/08/2025: We went there for breakfast and it was very pleasant, little background music, we took juices squeezed to the minute, coffee and pastries all very good, I recommend 100%!
30/05/2025: Chicken was way older and hard.
Not a great experience, would not suggest.

27/07/2025: An excellent Pub and B&B. The atmosphere is always great with the weekend music and craic. The owners, Mary and Ger Galvin are always welcoming and warm.

Scruffy's

08/12/2025: Ordered an Atlantic Pie
It's bloody amazing!
Feels like the sea has come up! Would go again!
19/07/2025: The bouncer is a very unkind man. He actually ruined my night & I went home early. I have alopecia & I am very self conscious about my hair. Last night was showery & I was wearing an expensive Columbia hat. The bouncer very condescendingly made me take it off. I was working at the races all week & was supposed to meet some of my colleagues for the Latin night in Scruffys. What right does this bully have to tell me if I can wear headwear or not. Honestly how dare him. I might add we were at a stag party here before & the same man refused us entry because the stag was wearing a dress. Some of the group suggested we take legal action for that incident. It’s 2025 lads & ye are in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ireland sort it out immediately.
That man owes me an apology & if he doesn’t change his attitude he should change his job.
