The best restaurants

21/02/2025: We showed up to our reservation and they were not open. We had our reservation for 6 months and it’s during operating hours. Lights were off and the doors were locked. Thank goodness for the next door restaurant for making room for us. This restaurant apparently is barely open when it’s supposed to be. Do not come here. Kind of confused on how it has such a high rating…don’t even waste your time.

25/01/2025: This place is closed! Our groupon and booking were accepted but when we showed up, the place was closed and no one was answering phone calls

21/07/2026: Apologies for writing in English but love this place which has a special place in my heart (was a regular…25 years ago). Very welcoming, very kind bartender.

26/08/2026: Good friendly staff, believe server name was John, very friendly chap. Will be coming back again.

28/07/2026: Lovely spot for a few drinks in Cobh, friendly staff.

20/07/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance, looking for somewhere to watch the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, having just arrived in Cobh. The bartender was incredibly kind and friendly. The staff were lovely, and we celebrated Spain's victory with them. The beer was excellent.

17/08/2024: Ordered food from here today first time ever two classics and chimac poutine very average not tasty at all probably just aswell this place is closing

28/07/2024: Fantastic experience here tonight! Had beautiful fried chicken & fried tofu, very tasty chicken wings and delicious cauliflower wings. The staff were fantastic and the food very tasty but by far the biggest standout were the fries. Probably the best fries I’ve ever had in my entire life. If you like crispy, skin on fries then these are the ones you are looking for! Beautifully crispy and light outside with a hint of crunch on the small ones, fantastically fluffy on the inside smooth high quality potato taste, perfectly seasoned where you get the hint of salt that enhances the clearly high quality potato flavor and not even a hint of old burnt oil flavor. 100% a now must visit spot.

05/05/2026: Delivery service is bad. Constantly forget about your order. Dont answer the phone. Takes nearly 3 hours for delivery if not more. The times I did have food was lovely but customer service not good.

15/09/2026: We visited this pub last month after a week-long trip through Dublin, Belfast, and Cork. It was undoubtedly the place where we found the most warmth and friendliness. The regulars were as comfortable as we were, and the owners made us feel right at home. Highly recommended if you want to experience an authentic Irish pub with no other ambition than to provide excellent service to its valued clientele.

24/07/2026: Didn't have food but really appreciated the friendless of the charming lady serving in the bar. Love to recommend to friends visiting Bandon or the West Cork area

15/10/2026: My partner and I went for a hot drink after the strike. I ordered hot chocolate that came with marshmallows and cream. The chocolate wasn't hot so the marshmallows didn't melt and there was a bucket of cream on top. It tasted of powdered sugar and not chocolate at 4.75 a cup.. absolutely rotten and his coffee tasted burnt...we won't be going back again.

02/09/2026: I was waiting at the takeaway counter. The woman was chattering to another lady from whichever Old Country they came from. She completely ignored me so I walked off. 3 other people were waiting. When I came back a few minutes later they'd gone too and she was STILL talking to her friend. Utterly ridiculous.

10/08/2024: Great homemade Ice cream. Lots of choice and the people working there are so friendly. Great value for money

25/07/2024: Ice cream melted so fast I only could eat half of it. Taste was good I guess, but couldn't really focus on that...

31/01/2025: Got a 4in1 for lunch today for the unbelievable price of €5(student deal). A big portion and it was delicious. Customer service was excellent! This place is a hidden gem

12/04/2025: This Spot is amazing we were welcomed with great customer service provided by the host and the main Waitress of the restaurant, I got the Lemon Crochettes with Tiger Prawns and she got Irish Chicken wings with BBQ sauce for starters with drinks White Wine and a Guiness for myself for my main I got a 10oz strip loin steak with sweet potato fries very enjoyable great atmosphere and great vibe around the building Thank you for your amazing service Jake & Mia
