The best restaurants

13/06/2025: I ordered 2 burgers with fries. Very good quality and quantity for the price. The meat was good, the fries rich, the delivery fast, the price great. And there was a lot of food. I'd totally recommend. And I'll definitely order again.

14/11/2024: Beautiful shop and selection of local and imported goods. Fresh and made to order lunch menu, and great coffee. Very friendly owners. Happy to have stumbled into this shop on our trip around Connemara.

09/09/2024: Great place where to find very tasty launchboxes, with lot of different ingredients available. The bread is fantastic as well.

23/06/2025: Amazing staff. They make one of the most filling good value burger deals in town. It is in an ideal location for shops and has indoor and outdoor sitting. They make a decent coffee and tea too. Cannot go wrong with Blackrock Café! Locals can be seen outside of the Café on sunny days and for good reason. Great and friendly staff. Good value for money and an ideal location, what is not to love!

02/07/2024: Definately pricey (especially in regard to the size of the drinks), but the cocktails are superior! Good and friendly service.

25/04/2024: Cocktail options are better than anywhere else in Dublin and the staff are very helpful and inviting

29/09/2025: Tucked between Windy Arbour and Milltown, Happy Sheep is the kind of café that feels like a little secret you’re glad to stumble on. 🐑☕ The coffee is excellent smooth, and clearly made with care. To sweeten things up, they’ve also got some lovely cookies and brownies that pair perfectly with a cup. Simple, but just right. Ratings: 🍴 Food & Coffee: 4/5 🛎 Service & Ambience: 4.5/5 💸 Money’s Worth: 4/5

18/04/2025: Very disappointing. Ordered a salad explaining I had train to catch while the other 5 in my party were still browsing the menu. The other 5 meals came out BEFORE my ordered salad despite the fact the waitress said she had put in salad order on its own first. Then , after eating a mediocre expensive meal only to be told at the payment desk that the ‘Butter chicken marsala‘ was €3 extra on top of the bill because it had chicken in it!! Despite the bill that we were handed charging us €21.00 for the Marsala the guy at the till argued that there was an astra fee for chicken in this chicken dish. Very arrogant and not very hospitable staff. Will not return

29/12/2024: On a recommendation we visited the Brehon Bar for the seafood chowder. Unfortunately John Durkan mustn't have been fishing that day as his famous chowder was lacking it's main component,fish! A bowl of milky fish water with a couple of slithers of the side of a fish does not constitute a famous chowder also priced at €13.50 which I wouldn't have minded paying if only it had some substance and flavour. Besides that service and ambience great!

03/01/2025: He ido aquí un par de veces y me dieron comida para llevar y tengo que decir que nunca decepciona, la pasta es fabulosa, la hamburguesa muy buena y el filete es fabuloso. El personal es excelente. Yo diría que este es el mejor restaurante en todo Lucan. Lástima que no está en el pueblo de Lucan.

25/11/2024: I really wanted to give a better review for our experience here but there were a few too many little issues. We visited for Spanish night - the venue was cold and dim. Our waitress had no idea about the menu, we were quite confused as to where to go initially. Starters were delicious. One of our mains were stone cold and had to be replaced. When we asked for a second bottle of wine it was simply left on the table with the cap on. We could have done with extra plates for the shared starters. The staff were very friendly and kind. The wine was delicious

22/11/2024: Went for an evening meal but we were told they finished serving at 4pm!!!! Was disappointed was a nice friendly pub restaurant

01/12/2025: normally so good, fast delivery and never forgets anything. this time, we ordered over an hour and a half ago, paid over the phone yet got nothing. i rang multiple times, they didn’t answer. got my mother to ring as well and she also got no answer. severely disappointed as we are loyal customers that have been ordering for years and years.
