31/12/2024: This Maxol is a great spot for fuel, and the shop is always spotless and neat, good coffee and the machine has been completely clean every time I've used it. Friendly, polite staff.

11/12/2024: The biggest time wasters in balinteer and they always close before 10pm and they’re so unprofessionals

09/11/2024: Slow service. Hour between first plate to last one of a tabe of 10.

01/10/2024: On route from killarney needed a pit stop chose gort at random we had a dog so while walking him came on roosters cafe got a takeaway of coffee and tuna bap the cafe is lovely staff so pleasant and food of high quality and good portions would recommend this cafe without hesitation will make gort our stop off point from now on

03/05/2025: Overall nice hotel. Clean and overall comfortable. Great ocean views with a deck The bed was a tad uncomfortable - similar to a really poor Hampton Inn. The restaurant food and service - consistent with other reviews - was average for dinner and breakfast. We would return to the hotel. Tip: Rent electric bikes on the island and use the Green Route. Amazing views - breathtaking - seals - and beautiful stone walls.

27/04/2025: We booked a table for two for Saturday 19th April having reviewed the online menu, particularly in relation to the vegetarian options. On arrival, the menu put in front of us bore no resemblance to the online menu. We ordered the only veggie option: speghetti vegetable and tomato sauce, which on eating was more water based that tomato sauce. We did raise this with the waitress and again at reception on leaving, in relation to how disappointed we were. We have never posted reviews but couldn’t let this one go. Vegetarians, stay away from here.

09/08/2024: We went as a family of 12..From 2 y old ( they have high chairs) to 65 y old. The setting overlooking the double links course with floor to ceiling windows was stunning. The service was first class. We ordered 6 different meals and every plate was emptied! VERY reasonably priced it it suitable for locals/golfers and passing tourists! I had worse Michelin star meals in London basements! Drop of at the front door.. lift.. and stunning balcony for a smoke! Please support it!

19/09/2025: The only thing good about this place is the friendliness of the man at the front but other than that this place is beyond vile. First bite of the burger was pink the chips were disgusting and pizza still had cold cheese on it and tasted awful didn’t even chance eating the battered sausages and goujons we had gotten and the two sauces the curry had more water than the river running through the town and I’ve never seen a taco sauce like they serve looked vile. I would genuinely avoid this place at all costs. We ordered over €40 worth of food and couldn’t even eat a bite of it and ended up throwing it all in the bin. We were up at the folk park from a hotel on the coast and decided to eat in it this place but it was the worst place we’ve ever gotten food.

01/09/2025: We’re new to the area and tried Fernando’s for the first time. Authentic, tasty pizza served quickly at very reasonable prices. Friendly staff, cash only. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back!

09/06/2025: We get all of our office catering for events here! They are fantastic! Service is amazing and the quality of the food is unmatched. 10/10 would recommend.

01/06/2025: It's a small and simple cafe. We sat outside in the sun and had coffee and the best scones I've had in a cafe in years. We didn't try anything else but if the scones are any indication, the cakes and quiches should be good too.
