The best restaurants

09/01/2026: Drive all the way here from Gorey as it beats any Chinese here. Really good portions, really good value, the only place that does shredded chicken that's not stringy and does a proper chow mein. Everything we've tried so far has been delicious. The people who work here are really lovely too.

19/12/2024: The service was really good and friendly. The drinks were also nice. I didn't like the decoration. The chairs at the bar weren't positioned well. It felt like chairs positioned on a wall. It didn't feel that they were chairs connected to the bar.

22/09/2024: Amazing, freshly cooked food Great staff and cocktails.

11/10/2024: Absolutely perfect raspberry scone in a sweet little bakery with good music. Great cup of tea, as well.

26/05/2025: Lovely pub atmosphere and amazing food. Just a good classic pub. Definitely should visit if you're in the area especially for food :)

18/05/2025: When we arrived at the Village Inn we were given the choice of where to sit as it was very very quiet. We were the only people in for food at that time. The pub is an old typical Irish family pub. Very cosy and clean enough. The young girl serving brought us menus when we chose our table, she asked at that point if she could get us drinks. We both had a soft drink. When we decided what we wanted from the food menu the same young girl took our order. My partner had the beef nachos and I had the garlic mushrooms which were absolutely delicious, the best I have had too be honest! Both portions were very generous! Afterwards, for our main meals we ordered chicken korma with half & half rice & chips, and my partner ordered the steak sandwich! He absolutely loved his, the portion size again was very generous! I had the chicken korma which again was a generous portion! The chips were absolutely amazing, fresh and very hot, the korma was also very hot, the way I would expect to have a meal put down to me, however I felt it was very bland as was the rice which was disappointing! The young girl serving was friendly enough but was quiet. However she was efficient and presented very well, very clean etc! After our food we left to go on a road trip. I would return here but would make a different food choice for my main meal.

22/06/2024: Just had a lovely salad today. Usually have a wrap or similar. Food is always fresh and prepared to a high standard. I personally do not like the way the cutlery comes tightly wrapped in a napkin which has been sealed with a drop of water. Staff are always cheerful and engaging. I now accidentally, on purpose, forget to eat before going grocery shopping so I have to drop in for a bite 😀 21-June-'24: Got takeaway. Food still really good. However, ordered 1 x Chicken Chorizo and 2 x Chili Chicken wrap. Got home 15-min later to find I had been given 2 x Chicken Chorizo. Unfortunately, someone went without lunch as they totally dislike Chorizo 👎

03/08/2025: -a truly fantastic breakfast&coffee but the real stars of the show are the staff. Wonderful special mother daughter team who made us feel so welcome. Would happily eat breakfast here everyday for the rest of time. Class

27/06/2025: Very charming café, super friendly and welcoming staff who let us bring our dog inside. Delicious sandwiches, especially the tuna melt! 👌

16/03/2025: Very good food, reasonably priced, good portions, forgot to get pictures.

15/03/2025: Got the chicken sizzlers dish with rice. It may aswell of been a flavorless gravy that was on the chicken. Left basically the full dish. Wouldn't be going back there again for food.
