07/06/2025: Overpriced, undercooked food. Staff not accommodating to multiple guest requests.

04/05/2025: Tried to eat there last night and it was PACKED! Had my dinner there tonight so…upon entering I was accommodated at a table that was reserved; yes I was informed it was reserve for 2 hrs later. Fair as I was alone so it wasn’t an issue. The staff were exceptional! So kind and considerate. My meal came SO fast & thank goodness for that because I was starving. My salad was fresh and tasty! Nice chunks of avocado too. My chicken supreme was SO SO GOOD! I normally don’t eat cauliflower so I gave it a taste tonight and ended up eating it. That goes to show on how well prepared everything was right down to the cauliflower. Highly recommend when in Cork!

23/11/2023: Great food, the hot dogs are my fav, the cofelfee is nice, the milkshakes are nice, pretty much everything is nice 😋, the staff is very kind and helpful. I will be coming back alot ❤️

01/09/2023: Had an amazing blt Sandwich, a very good Cappuccino and a Waffle. Everthing was nice the service was very friendly and vigilant. Would come again :)

13/03/2026: This takeaway is absolutely appalling, I ordered a mixed kebab and the doner meat was completely raw and mushy in the middle, when I rang the take away I was treated absolutely disgusting on the phone it was awful, told I was asking for free food and abused after when alls i was doing was letting the man know for his next customers, everytime this place gets soemthing wrong with the order it is shocking and an absolute shame as it used to be a great take away. Judge the doner meat for yourselves as he thinks it's cooked

12/07/2026: I ordered Chicken Curry with Peaches and Rice for 7 people. It was delicious. Some of my party had seconds.! Also ordered Lemon Tart , which was amazing. Mairead and her staff are vey friendly. I would certainly recommend The Food Shop and I will be back again.! Sandra L July 2026

07/07/2026: Thanks to Maraide and her team for the fabulous food for my party last Saturday. We went with the buffet as you suggested, it was a big hit. One of my guests said “ you can tell this food was prepared with love”. It says it all really. Thanks Paula

16/04/2026: Good selection of fresh and frozen fish and seafood, and the staff do a great job packing and cleaning the fish.
