The best restaurants

23/05/2025: Great pub in Roscommon Town. We have been coming here for years, on our annual golf trip. Friendly service from, our friends Seamus, and Larry, great banter and laughter. Best pint of Guinness ever. It's a pity that there aren't pubs like this in Dublin. Looking forward to.next year already. John Burke

06/05/2024: Called in yesterday on the way back to Dublin and had a fantastic breakfast. The Belly Buster (large Irish breakfast) was delicious, all freshly cooked to order. One negative, sausages were overcooked. Eggs Benedict was very good and 7-year-old thought the Pancake Stack was the best he ever had. Good value, no feelings of being ripped-off for such a quality breakfast. And the staff were friendly and highly efficient. Look forward to returning.

25/08/2024: We live outside Monaghan and ordered online to try some place new. When we called in we didn't realise the place had closed because the online order still works. The charge is pending on our card, I just hope we get the refund. Do not use their online website. The place is closed and derelict.

It was obvious from my observation that the hot food side of business appears not that professional as the oil seemed not hot enough for the batter or the batter not made correctly...either or but something seemed off when it was added to oil. Cod itself nice but again expected more crispy flavour from batter but tasted off and not thin and crispy and not what I was expecting . Wouldn't be going back here again for hot food but hopefully raw wild salmon fillet for €37 that i purchased is nice when cooked to my taste.. Overall experience is poor as it has just reinforced my opinion you only get the best fish and chips along the coast of ireland from qualified chefs knowing what they are doing and this shop trying to combine both selling raw and hot food doesn't work in my opinion. 21/12/2024: Great place. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Decorated lovely for Christmas. The owner is a very friendly man, always very pleasant. Always has time for a chat when you drop in. Staff very cheerful and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit.
