The best restaurants

02/12/2024: Took my family up here for brunch only to discover that it was CLOSED despite saying it’s open for business on here. Went next door to the furniture shop that leads into the restaurant and there was one staff member there that said it’s closed because they can’t find any chefs to work for them. I had checked the opening times on Google maps to confirm that it was open before driving 30 minutes out to them. Would have been a very disappointing trip to Moycullen if it wasn’t for the amazing Galway Cakery Cafe next door. This place used to be a regular spot for me and the family until the new management took over.

08/10/2024: I has the best food ever. Had the burger it was amazing.. himself had salmon. He loved it.. lauran was great.. got a free brownie for my Birthday.. such a nice gesture.. well done everyone it's a lovely experience..

21/10/2025: We ordered on uber eat, we waited for more than an 1h and ended up without food. They probably forgot to close the fast food on the app.

20/08/2025: Got the quater pounder with cheese 5.95. Delicious. Friendly staff. Perfect char

13/08/2025: Last dined here 2014 after poor dining experience, spend half the year in Clare, love Ennistymon so thought give it another go. Wishing we hadn't, roast beef, arrived on mash and looked good, sides were more mash and a bit of a carrot, slice of turnip and green beans all soggy, asked about roast potatoes and they brought me some that must have been left in the oven and were rock hard. Husband had pan fried chicken , same sides as myself. Pleasant young staff, no checking about food, place lovely. How hard is it to present this food with fresh veg and potatoes. Shame as we won't be back and would advise others too avoid

27/08/2026: Went to get a ice cream today with my husband and kids ordered 2 milkshakes and 2 ice-creams When she was doing my sons milkshake she put one tablespoon of crushed oreos in i asked could she put another is as it wasnt much and she said it will be extra thats fine i said il pay the difference. I then got my husbands milkshake which was fine and my other sons ice-cream it came to mine they asked what toppings I asked for kinder I thought it came with 3 toppings I didn't realise the kinder was part of a deluxe range so I said oh ok il pay the difference again which is fine it was a extra 75cent she then done my ice-cream I said I didn't want it mixed she went and mixed it I said it sorry I dont want it mixed so she done a big sigh pour the icecream out of the cup and done a fresh one and handed it to me I was left looking at this "delux" ice-cream not one piece of kinder down through it there was abot of chocolate with broken up wafter in it This is very disappointing as we would regularly go here we won't be anymore it was ment to be a nice treat for our family I have pictures of it i just dont know how to post

30/06/2025: I have been looking for a genuine Indian restaurant since moving to the area 7 years ago, finally found it. The food was excellent and service was top notch. Reasonable price £160 for 5 people with starters and side dishes. I will be going back for more

22/03/2026: The short... we would eat here again. We had the roast of the day with mashed potatoes. Outstanding The long.. We chose the Skillet Pot at Treacy's West County Hotel based on an AI recommendation while searching for a proper “Sunday pot roast” — something that felt traditional and true to Ireland. It came up as a top choice, and we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant opens at 6pm, so we made a reservation right when they opened. We were seated immediately and had our pick of tables, settling into a comfortable spot for two. The menu is well structured with starters, mains, and desserts, and there were some strong options (the sea bass stood out). That said, we came for the roast — and that’s what we ordered. The beef roast with mashed potatoes absolutely delivered. It came out hot, tender, and beautifully plated. The potatoes were clearly real (not processed), the brown gravy was rich and flavorful, and the traditional pudding on top added a nice authentic touch. Everything was cooked and seasoned exactly right — honestly, this is exactly what I was hoping for when I think of a Sunday roast in Ennis. Service was also excellent. Our server, Antonina, struck the perfect balance — attentive without being intrusive, never rushed us, and was always nearby when we needed something. Super wholesome and personable. For dessert, I had the chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. It was my first time trying it — enjoyable, though I don’t have much to compare it to. My wife went with the rhubarb apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, and she definitely feels like she made the better choice. Overall, this was a great experience. If you’re looking for a proper, traditional Sunday-style meal in the Ennis area, this place is absolutely worth considering.

11/05/2026: I order my daughter communion cake from here. It was absolutely beautiful. So tasty and fresh. The service was fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place for cakes enough.

28/10/2024: Very disappointed food was very poor. Ordered southern fried Chicken Breast and was cold inside and soggy …Awful Phoned and explained to guy on phone and just sorry about that…after spending €36 on food Never again

29/07/2023: Love my kebabs, so these are always nice, it's in a garage with groceries as well, but has a nice little dining area, nice staff, give plenty on the kebab.

22/07/2023: Asked for a doner kebab tray, and all I got was a tiny box full of vegetables and about 5 tiny pieces of doner. Disappointing as I spend 8€ and didn't even snack
