The best restaurants

30/05/2026: Jesus I was in some rough dirty places in my time but I have to say this gets a gold star, which is unfortunate considering its location if it was in the right hands , toilets manky bar manky exterior manky. A good paint job a serious clean up and you could be onto something.

15/07/2024: It's not called Dunnes bar any more it's called the thunderbar and it's great spot Guinness to die for and a real country pub place to reminisce. And talk about the good old times.

06/04/2026: We hired GG's to cater the day after our wedding, and the reviews from all our guests couldn't have been better. Phenomenal food, and Kim and Colm were so lovely the whole day. Hugely impressed and would definitely recommend!

29/08/2026: We had dinner at the Munster Room twice during our stay at Waterford Castle and really, really enjoyed it. Both evenings we tried different dishes and everything was delicious. Very good food, beautiful atmosphere and excellent service. And I have to mention the flambé pancakes — absolutely amazing! 😄 Honestly, one of my favourite things we had there. Really, really good. Overall, a great restaurant and a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed both dinners and would definitely come back. Highly recommend if you are staying at Waterford Castle or even if you are somewhere nearby. Verdict: definitely worth it. And try the flambé pancakes!

29/06/2024: Chips are supposed to be crispy , but these were wet , yellow and stuck together. Never again 😒 Came highly recommended but was well below the average. Shocking waste of money.

17/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had the pleasure of staying here for a week for work, and honestly, it’s been a great experience. The food has never disappointed — everything I’ve tried has been fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff are fantastic too. Always friendly, helpful and smiling, which makes such a difference. The room was great, and the gym facilities are a really nice bonus as well. Definitely somewhere I’d recommend staying, and I’d also say give the food a try while you’re here! 🍽️ And if you like this kind of content and the photos have helped you choose the place or decide what to order, I’d really appreciate a 👍 on the review.
