18/10/2024: Amazing qabuili palaw very delicious 😋

16/06/2025: Horrible More bar than restaurant! Totally cramped and loud, loud people stand behind you to pay. Food: Salmon was good, Greek salad was okay, more feta would have been nice. Service: Average, we had a young waitress. Atmosphere: We're in the train station! And the kicker: there was no Galway beer on the premises, hello! That would be like KFC running out of chicken. There's no drinks menu, only a wine list. So you have to ask for everything individually. Poor value for money. We'll prefer to eat out in the future. Change something ASAP! Absolutely unsatisfactory!

19/05/2025: Really nice traditional Dublin pub. Great place for a pint and a chat or to watch a match. Nice bar menu, friendly staff. Small pub with lots of character. Popular with local people.

16/01/2025: I had the best night celebrating my 40th at the Birdcage in December, everything from music,food, service was excellent, highly recommend this venue for private functions!!

01/04/2024: Not as good as it used to be. I had the hot turkey joint in a roll with chips. Used to come with a bit of coleslaw on the side but I was told that is an extra 2.95 now. Last bit of turkey joint and server sliced it to bits to try fill roll. Chips used to be fresh, now overcooked and stale sitting under heat lamp. Wouldn't order again. Pity as hot dinners still look good and generous portion. Person before me got dinner with two decent slices of turkey. Avoid the sandwiches/rolls.

01/08/2025: Servicio muy amable como Gaeilge y en Inglés. Tomó nuestros pedidos a pesar IT era la hora de cierre a las 5 pm. Deliciosas hamburguesas y pescado. Buena relación calidad-precio y hermosa ubicación

14/04/2025: Great menu choices, the roast beef was delicious, kids menu varied and service was good. Enjoyed the cocktails and desserts to. Really nice overall and small playground out the front was enjoyed by the kids too

15/10/2025: We went there for dinner. I ordered a turkey sandwich. It was delicious and a new flavor for me.

10/10/2025: If you're a coffee lover like me, The Dock at the Connacht Hotel is a must-visit. 😍 The lobby is so cosy and perfect for relaxing with a coffee. The coffee itself is amazing, and the croissants are so fresh 🥐. Also shout out to the lovely barista who was so friendly and chatty! 🥰 Definitely coming back here!

11/02/2024: Popped into Home Bakery after a long walk & could not resist a triangular choc cake as well as a caramel shortbread. Enjoyed both, esp the former, which was moist & chocolatey. The caramel on the shortbread was sticky & chewy & both treats felt decadent! They were both pretty pricey though, at more than 2 euros per slice. Home Bakery is unavoidable when in Dundalk, so the best thing to do is just to give in & worry about the diet later 😁
