The best restaurants

17/01/2025: A group of 6 family members decided to visit Eddie Rockets after christmas. We were starving. 4 of us arrived first and we said we were a party of 6. The girl said we have no tables for 6. She walked away conversation over. When she returned I suggested 2 tables and we were shown to a very snug table for 3 adults & a child. The other family members came and sat at the bar. Maybe it's beyond the pay grade of waiting staff to find solutions but I feel this girl and her couldn't care less attitude was dissapointing. All the serving staff were very pleasant and efficient and the restaurant could have lost the custom of six people.

16/01/2025: I love Eddie Rocets Delicious, mega-sized burgers Delicious fries with garlic sauce and cheese, yum Delicious shakes for children I recommend Great atmosphere like in an American movie Great service with cool uniforms When we are in Ireland, we like to eat there I recommend There are always coloring books and puzzles prepared for children So they never get bored while waiting for their food

15/02/2025: Have wanted to go here for ages. It’s a nice place. Service was very good and it was starting to fill up as we were leaving. I’d say the atmosphere is great when it’s full. I loved that they have a nice Albarino by the glass. As a pescatarian, I was disappointed with the options. There was only one fish for mains and tbh it wasn’t great. It felt like 2 dishes on the plate. Roasted cod with a green herb crust, samphire and courgette with a touch of lemon. That was delicate and fresh. Served with muscles that were the smallest I’ve ever seen, in a rich tomato and creamy sauce. Despite not being sure I was eating muscles due to them disappearing in the sauce, the sauce overwhelmed everything else on the plate. Both halves of the plate were very tasty, but I think they didn’t go together. That could just be me though. However, there was no other option besides an Asian roast cauliflower dish. I think that in this day and age, a bit more variety for non meat eaters is expected. My husband has sausages and mash with a Yorkshire pudding. He said it was nice but a bit dry. A tiny little pot of gravy came with it but it couldn’t do much for the YP. He didn’t ask for more which I’m sure they’d have given him, no problem. Overall, a bit disappointing. But I’d say if you eat meat it’s probably a great place as their menu sounds tasty and interesting. Best focaccia I’ve ever had with a superb dip. I’d go back just for that!

11/02/2025: We had our wedding reception at the Brown Bear. Jean and the team are absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening. No request was ever to big. Thank you all again for making our day so special! Look forward to visiting in the future. The Brown Bear will always hold a special place in our hearts! Keith, Amy and Croía

11/02/2025: Had a good time here, crowd is mostly local, they come to watch games which plays on the TV, young crowd also comes but less. Friday is a good time to come here when crowd is more lively.

18/02/2025: The staff and food are excellent. The view of the Peoples Park is beautiful and it is right beside the wonderful Limerick Gallery of Art.

24/02/2025: Chicken curry absolutely revolting Literally was sliced chicken breast ( like you would use in a sandwich)mixed into a Chinese type yellow curry sauce made from a packet. No veg whatsoever and served with insipid rice and chips. It was at least served piping hot!

02/02/2025: Food, drinks and staff are 10/10 - the salad and toasted sandwiches were amazing. Owner gave my friend a bottle of wine for celebrating her birthday and it was such a lovely night for everyone.

14/01/2025: Si has estado comprando sushi (en constante disminución) en la megatienda cercana, hazte un favor y corre, no camines, para probar esta opción mucho mejor. El Cangrejo de Nieve y el noromaki de Salmón a la Parrilla fueron excelentes, mientras que el pato aromático crujiente también fue un éxito sin calificación. Por frescura y sabor, no hay comparación. Volveremos corriendo.

21/02/2025: As a family we spent €98 garlic cheese chip and bacon portions were small, steak sandwich was cheap strips of beef and cold, cheese burgers you couldnt find the cheese, chicken spice bag left alot to be disired size was good but old chips, we also got a curry chips again small portion and old chips, not sure how this place is in business

22/10/2024: No idea why this place has 4.5 on Google maps. The desserts are crap. They taste like they came straight from a factory. Grand for a quick snack if you're hungry, but don't waste your time if you want something tasty.

07/02/2025: Lovely local hotel in the middle of Lahinch with helpful friendly staff. The only issue is accessibility to rooms. No lift so a lot of stairs to some of the rooms, not suitable for people with mobility issues

24/01/2025: Ordered food. I was told it would be a 30 minute wait but I had to wait 1 hour and 15 mins. Absolutely pathetic. Avoid at all costs. I will never support their business again.

03/01/2025: In spite of it being New Year’s Day, we found this Chinese restaurant in Tipperary town as we were staying in a hotel nearby. There’s an excellent menu and lots of people were coming for takeaways but we were the only people in there eating in the restaurant. Great choice with lots of options both meat and vegetarian food came very quickly and was clearly fresh service was brilliant. Couldn’t fault it at all, far too much food for us to eat and how do we not been staying in hotel we would definitely have taken some with us to eat at a later point. We would definitely recommend it.

27/11/2024: Moore Street Mall is a mall that offers most of what you would expect - from shops to eateries. For those who like to shop, it is certainly a nice place, but for me, who is not a big fan of malls, it feels quite average. The atmosphere is okay, but nothing that stands out. A visit might be worth it if you have a specific business, but not something I would go back to without reason.

20/11/2024: Good place to try some different food from different countries in few restaurants. Good place to get polish products in Mróz Shop.
