26/05/2026: Lovely pub, very friendly people and service. On Saturday evenings there was live music and free sandwiches were served at all tables.

18/07/2026: Price list on wall says Guinness 5:50. Ordered Guinness Asked 5:70 Mmm Went for next pint 6:20 Mmm Finished that pint and left. Music was good tho

09/06/2026: George and Trisha run one of the best pubs in Kells. Great atmosphere, creamy pints, large beer garden and plenty of local musicians playing every weekend. Highly recommended

08/09/2026: We went for breakfast and were served very kindly. There's a great variety of food and the place is fantastic, decorated with Depeche Mode themes and their music playing. Fantastic!!

08/09/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A café where everything is just perfect! ☕️😄 A super nice café with an incredibly friendly and welcoming team. We received such a warm welcome upon our visit that we immediately felt at home. 😊 The coffee ☕️ was delicious, and the food we ordered was absolutely scrumptious. 😋 There was really nothing to complain about – everything was to our complete satisfaction. We were also thrilled with the location: very tastefully decorated, cozy, and with a truly pleasant atmosphere. 🥰 And then Depeche Mode was playing in the background! 🎶🖤 Honestly: Good coffee, delicious food, nice people, and Depeche Mode – what more could you want? 😎 We felt completely at ease here and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality and a huge thank you to the entire team! ❤️ Highly recommended – 5 stars and actually a little bonus star for the musical taste! ⭐️😉

13/09/2026: Great service, great food, great old fashioned booth,/ wooden pub with local characters, families and sports teams. The food portions were generous, filet steak and grilled chicken, and the veg and garlic sauté potatoes were all done to perfection. We topped off this fantastic meal with a well kept pint of Guinness. It was a perfect end to a short Irish holiday in Monaghan. We highly recommend this restaurant/ pub.

26/09/2026: I got 3 eggs 3 bacon and 2 sausages and a cup of coffee. €24 rip off. Price per item wasn't on the menu if I remember correctly. I could have had steak and eggs for the same price if the server told me what I was going to pay. Won't be back.

21/11/2025: Recently I ordered a salad, and it was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was so hard I couldn’t even bite it, and most of the box was just onions. There were only a few tomatoes and one very little of lettuce. That’s it. And they charged €6.50 for the box. There was basically nothing to eat it was really bad.

03/11/2025: My go to whenever I'm back in Dublin. Staff are always so friendly, real Dubs a heart of the community. I'm a scaldy Corkonian and introduced people in the area I stay with to go there for our cures when I visit after living around the corner. Always meet the standards of what you want with attention to detail, great value and service.

22/08/2026: Had a nice hot peppermint tea with a cookie. Sat outside to enjoy my break. Recommended for solo travellers.

12/08/2026: Grand coffee, though they gave me the wrong order even after I corrected the cashier upon hearing him say it wrong. Truly terrible ham and cheese sambo. Bad enough that it inspired this review. Clearly been in the fridge a long time with wilted lettuce and everything just much too cold. The single slices of cheap cheese didn't go any distance to filling the bread. The area they've been granted outside is the only real positive.

26/08/2026: Went in here to get food and kill some time while waiting for a prescription from the chemist across the road. Although we were waiting a few minutes to take our order the food cane quickly and it was delicious. I'd definitely go again l

05/09/2026: We went to the Roadhouse before it was sold and we were extremely disappointed. We stopped today for dessert and tea as we had been driving for several hours. The Teas and dessert were perfect, the service and the entire experience was exceptional. We will be stopping there again soon.

20/09/2026: Had a lovely breakfast here, seating is in the form of little shelves against all the walls rather than tables. Food was great and service was polite and cheery.

02/09/2026: The tea was good, but every dish they gave me was dirty, including one with a big yellow-orange splotch on it.

19/09/2026: Booked here for my friends birthday! The staff were absolutely amazing to us - especially Keelin (hopefully spelt right 😬) Who was so sweet, caring and respectful to us! Really made us comfortable and was so polite with us having a few birthday bunting up and bits! Food was delicious and super fresh. Especially the Chicken wings and the pulled pork nachos were a favourite! Definitely recommend for a date night / party venue or anything in between!

07/09/2026: Great experience. An unbeatable place if you want to watch football. My only complaint is that one of the waiters spoke Spanish and refused to serve me in that language; however, we were able to communicate with others without any problems. Good value for money and a nice atmosphere.

29/08/2026: Our server, Adam, was incredibly attentive and friendly. He made our time there very enjoyable.

30/04/2026: We stopped in here for a drink and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere. The Barman was attentive and the service was excellent. Although we did not have food, what we saw served looked excellent.
