17/01/2025: Family dinner during my visit to Dublin. With a somewhat noisy atmosphere, we decided to go into a “Spanish” restaurant, being Spanish. We ordered potato omelette, there wasn't any, they had a group before and it was sold out. Some potatoes with mojo, which being from the Canary Islands, we wanted to see how they were, and well the wrinkled potatoes were vilely replaced by some bravas, with a pseudo mojo picón. Then a rice with vegetables and chicken, very tasty, ham croquettes, probably frozen, because if Alberto Chicote has taught us anything, it is that croquettes cannot all be the same and an Iberian pork tenderloin, presumably, at its best and with a flavored sauce. The problem, the quantities, less than a lid. They serve Spanish beer. Salty price, if you don't have the purchasing power of an Irishman. Very correct staff. There is no place to go with children.

08/02/2025: Stayed in apartment which was quite basic but served it's purpose as was there due too work, as for the food it was excellent have stayed in a couple of different hotels over last couple of weeks and have to say food was the best I've had and staff were very efficient and friendly would definitely recommend for meal

12/01/2025: Stunning views, staff very friendly, professional always attentive and helpful. Food of the highest standard and very good value. The Monkfish and Prawn caesar salad was excellent. The chowder was probably the best we've tried yet We've been there several times and haven't been disappointed at any time.

03/02/2025: Arrived today for 4 takeaway dinners. One man doing all the carvey on his own and he was fantastic. Kept the queue going, was polite and worked at incredible speed. Lovely girl took the money while another girl got the takeaway gravy, and they cellotaped the lids to avoid spillages. All round brilliant service 👏 food was delicious 😋 will definitely be back

02/02/2025: Popped in here on the way back to the airport following a visit to gravediggers, luckily it was a sunday, the carvery was on, absolutely delicious just what we needed. Definitely recommend

12/02/2025: Beautiful estate and landscape with trails and James Turrell Sky Garden. The chef at the restaurant worked without prior notice to give us exceptional vegan options and also accommodating my food allergies. Wonderful library. We will return.

10/02/2025: We had a very relaxing stay, thanks to the hotel’s limited number of rooms, which made for a peaceful atmosphere. The open fire in the evening was a lovely touch, adding to the cozy ambiance. Our room was modern and well-equipped, complete with a Nespresso coffee machine. However, there was an unpleasant smell in the room, which may have been due to animals being allowed to stay there. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay, which made a big difference. However, dining options were quite limited. The only available choice was the restaurant menu, which doesn’t cater to all needs. For example, after a late lunch one day, we wanted a small bite in the evening but found there was no bar menu—only the full restaurant menu, which is quite expensive for the portion sizes. Given that there are also limited dining options locally in Skibbereen town, it would be helpful if the hotel offered a more flexible bar menu. That said, the hotel’s grounds are beautifully maintained, with lovely walking trails that add to the charm of the location. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind, with excellent service, but a few improvements in dining options and room freshness would make the experience even better.

11/01/2025: Not joking, it genuinely could be the best Pizza I've had. Absolutely delicious, the only downside was, I didn't have an entire pizza to myself. The Italian Sausage from the local butchers was bloody delicious!
