18/02/2025: Great pub with a good pint. Always a bit of craic to be had.

21/11/2024: Never coming here again. Ordered coffee and plain croissant and was told it would cost 7.80 euros! Croissant didn't even look fresh so I just had the coffee. When I mentioned it was expensive I was told it's because of the VAT. I've never paid that amount anywhere else in Midleton. Avoid at all costs!!!!

01/05/2026: Everything about this place screamed bad idea. Impulsively decided to get 'some chips' after a few beers in Listowel on a quiet Thursday night. Ok facade, but then led up manky stairs to 'reception area' ✅ Cash only ✅ Food ready super fast ✅ Food packaging that I assumed was outlawed ✅ Fake looking chicken ✅ Read Google reviews and decided this was not a good idea to eat ✅ Disposed of said food in on street bin ✅ Waste of €8 ✅ Probably avoided an unwanted illness ✅✅✅

17/06/2025: Busy busy busy but this small eatery was well worth the wait - absolutely delicious chicken pie and Quiche but served with a lovely mixed salad - very reasonable and very tasty. Will definitely be back and would recommend - remember it was busy but that's a good sign

16/04/2025: First timers and 3 generations had a bite to eat here after over 2 hours in Tropical World. We had cooled down whilst waiting for the children to run themselves ragged in the covered but outdoor play area. On entering the cafe, it was warm and inviting until we spotted people leaving a table and went to make a move to get it and were informed of the queuing system for a table by a staff member and a couple in front of us who would get the table. We waited probably about 5 minutes for another table to be vacated: it felt quite long with 2 children aged 6 and under who were hopping from one foot to the other. In the meantime, we ordered a latte €3.50, cappuccino €3.50, 2 fruit shoots (€1.50 each), one chocolate brownie €3, one coffee cake €3 and a slice of lemon meringue €4.95. Coffees and tray bakes were very good but star of the show was the lemon meringue which was DIVINE. Overall, I thought here was quite reasonable given the climate. We thawed out, warmed up and got our sugar hit and rolled out of here. We would return maybe for some quiche next time and definitely some lemon meringue 🍋😋.

23/02/2026: Ordered duck yesterday … only food that day … I am not able to leave house all day stuck to toilet .. if it doesn’t go till morning I go hospital and health and safety inspection to follow .. never felt so sick in my life before

23/12/2025: Lady on the counter was super friendly, and the food: Spice bag and chicken box were delicious with generous portions! Great value, great food, great service. Highly recommend!

Food: We ordered a cheeseburger and the daily special: chicken & ham. For a pub-style burger, it was quite decent. The chicken & ham dish was perfect, though I had to skip the mashed potatoes and stuffing due to dietary reasons, and swapped them for French fries instead. Everything I could eat was tasty and well-prepared. The portion sizes were just right, satisfying without being too heavy. The only slight letdown was that the daily special mentioned “vegetables,” but none were served on the plate. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Drinks: We only had water on this occasion, so there’s nothing to comment on here. Rating: N/A ⭐️ Staff: The staff member serving us was excellent, very helpful and attentive to my allergies, even giving recommendations on what to avoid or substitute. Service was quick and friendly. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Environment: The place has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, with soft background music that made it easy to enjoy conversation. Rating: N/A ⭐️ Value for Money: A pleasant surprise! The food quality exceeded expectations for a casual lunch stop. If we’re ever back in the area, we’d happily return. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Extras: • There was a wedding taking place at the hotel that day; worth noting if you’re looking for a wedding venue. • There were goats and alpacas/llamas out front, which added a fun and unique touch! 28/05/2025: We travel a distance to eat here and it never disappoints. Lovely friendly staff, amazing food. Highly recommend the butter chicken or Chicken pomegranate. Mouth watering, good portions and excellent value for money.

27/05/2025: The first time here and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and service...and the owner Mohammed remembered us from 20 odd yrs ago in Belfast...lovely ambient restaurant with lovely staff...highly recommend....
