4 Corners Bar And Terrace
Dublin

Jameson Bar
Portmarnock
29/05/2025: We had dinner in this famous bar located in the same Portmarnock Hotel & Golf links. First impression was that it's more a bar/pub than a restaurant. But we finally concluded that the food was so good that it didn't matter at all. We shared their crispy chicken wings which were amazing, with an extraordinary Jameson & ginger ale sauce. And then, two marvellous Kerrigan's Rib eye steaks. One of the best beefs we've never ever tasted. Gorgeous.
Not cheap, of course but worth every Euro. Highkly recommendable

L'Escale Restaurant
Athlone
14/05/2025: Lovely restaurant at a hotel. We had no reservation but we got a table as it wasn't too busy, and the staff was very helpful.
We went for a dinner, and the food was delicious - the lamb as well as the seabass. The atmosphere is also very cozy and romantic.
I can only recommend this place if you are staying at a hotel or driving by
13/12/2024: Food was decent. Staff nice, but very unaware and not very attentive. Took 20 minutes to order dessert after mains due to staff not noticing we were finished mains. Asked for dessert menu, but had to ask a second time and a different staff member. When eventually got the dessert menu the staff member did not follow up to take order. Had to wait and try get attention of another staff member. Wasted about 20 minutes in total. Bizarre carry on 😅

20/03/2024: The order was mistakenly put in twice. We immediately asked for them to correct this and they assured us they would. They did not and we were charged for two orders. Extremely disappointed.

Killruderry Farmers Market
16/06/2024: Nice market. I was expecting a few more fresh food stalls. The crepe vendor was excellent! Really nice benches to sit and eat in the courtyard.
27/05/2024: was an experience worth every moment. The highlight for me was undoubtedly the café and their freshly made pizza. The flavors were exceptional, with ingredients that tasted incredibly fresh and vibrant. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal after exploring the farm.
Speaking of the farm, the chicken farm is a delight! Seeing the chickens roam freely in a well-maintained environment was heartwarming. It’s evident that the animals are well-cared for, adding to the overall charm of the place.
The gardens are another major attraction, and they do require an entry fee of €10.50. However, I can confidently say it’s worth every cent. The walk around the gardens is serene and picturesque, offering a perfect escape into nature. Each path and corner is meticulously maintained, showcasing a variety of plants and flowers that are simply breathtaking.
One of the aspects I appreciated most about Kilruddery is how neat and clean the entire place is. From the café to the market, and throughout the gardens, everything is spotless and well-organized. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention go into maintaining this beautiful venue.
Additionally, there's a charming tea room available, providing another cozy spot to unwind and enjoy a warm beverage amidst such scenic surroundings.
Overall, Kilruddery Farm, Market, and Garden offer a delightful day out, combining excellent food, well-kept gardens, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re there for the pizza, the chicken farm, or a peaceful garden stroll, it’s a visit you won’t regret.

Springfort Hall Cafe
Mallow
23/04/2024: This is a lovely hotel we stayed last Saturday night it was extremely busy 3 functions going on which we didn't mind. But they did not give us the hotel room which I booked but rather put us in a log cabin on arrival we were informed we got a upgrade which to honest wasn't in our opinion the bed was a very small double and typical of Ireland badly finished no point having sink tables chairs and kettle if u have no fridge or microwave. This was OK for us wecwere only staying overnight but we booked a table for 2 on arrival for 7.30 but it wasn't kept so we ended up eating very late near to 9 o clock. It was a lovely meal in fairness but overall we felt a bit cheated surely they should ring u if they don't have the room u booked and then when leaving I got told the bill was 222 euros great I said but it wasn't there was 254 euros taken from account they added on tax of 23% and 13.5% should have been said. As a result I would nt come back shame.
