The best restaurants

05/07/2024: Glum surly staff. Did not know I was supposed to collect cutlery myself on ordering, when goats cheese toasted roll with salad was brought to my table, asked for a knife and fork. Told "it's self service and it's over there", on mentioning this rude unhelpful attitude to an older woman behind the counter, she just repeated the other woman's sentence with a stony expression. Last time I met staff like this was in the former East Berlin. No sugar on the table, only sweetener, had to get it from another table, didn't dare ask staff. I'm a disappointed ex-customer (70+)

29/05/2024: Can a Caesar wrap be called a Caesar if it doesn’t contain lettuce, an anchovy Caesar salad dressing? I got a half grilled wrap soggy on the bottom filled with breaded chicken and pesto. Tasted of a chicken and stuffing.

09/08/2025: Food and Coffee was nice. What was brilliant was the service from Jess ( I believe her name was). She was very welcoming and kind. Atmosphere in the place was nice and chill too.

26/06/2024: Delicious fish and chips! No pre-made ingredients, everything is fresh. Other pubs and restaurants can't compare. The only downside is the ambiance, which isn't great even for a snack bar. However, the owner is very friendly!

23/07/2025: Mala comida. Mal servicio. NO atmósfera. No quieren escuchar críticas constructivas. El cliente está aparentemente equivocado

23/07/2025: Servicio de comida impactante aún peor La sopa era de sabor vil La ensalada era muy básica, incluso un niño de 2 años podía preparar esto. Lemon Sole también fue terrible flotando en una piscina de mantequilla de sabor desagradable. El risotto de champiñón era sabroso, pero tristemente era solo una porción infantil. Incluso el ITer acordó que no sería suficiente para llenarlo. Me rendí después de 2 cursos impactantes y no probé un desierto. El servicio era tristemente también tan terrible como la comida, NO camarero comprobado para ver si teníamos algún problema con nuestra comida. Cuando me quejé y le pedí al camarero jefe que transmitiera mis comentarios a la cocina para obtener respuesta, tristemente, NO hubo respuesta. Estoy realmente decepcionado ya que este iba a ser uno de nuestros momentos destacados visitando Killarney para la semana de la carrera. Mi consejo a la gente es que eviten este desastre de un restaurante.

29/06/2026: Think it might be closed down. Went at about 4 in the afternoon when it was supposed to be open but no sign of anyone

03/05/2025: Preciosa cena en un hotel muy grande con personal amable y atento. Nos alojamos cerca y decidimos reservar para la cena. No nos decepcionó y nos gustaría recomendarlo.

16/03/2026: Turned up late on Friday night and it was one of those darts stopping in mid air moments, strangers entering mid quiz night. But the people and owners were so friendly and warming, even though we purchased raffle tickets and scooped the first three prizes which had the place in uproar in hoots of hilarity. We were are all made so welcome. Such an amazing friendly place with tons of memorabilia every where in what feels like someone's front room. Many thanks to Fred Mary and the locals for such a memorable experience
