Coffee Boutique
Dublin
17/08/2024: Beautiful local little coffee shop I alway try and support - coffee is so nice - staff lovely - nice little hole marsh cards as well - drop in it’s great to shop local and beautiful coffee !
20/07/2024: The place has a high rate, and my review is not an exception. You are falling in love once you have walked in. A really cosy shop while being small; the service is mostly take-and-go. I was rushing and didn’t taste the bakery - next time for sure. I was having a lovely chat with barista Anna ❤️ The coffee shop seems to be obscure to many people, yet it’s known among locals. If you are there, pop in!

Central Cafe
Dublin
18/11/2025: ordered a matcha and they charged me €2 more than what was on the board even though i don't ask for any extra flavours or milk or anything
22/08/2025: We ordered a strawberry matcha and asked to make it a latte (so, a strawberry matcha latte). The staff member misunderstood and gave us a strawberry matcha and a regular latte instead. When we explained, they said “matcha is always a latte,” which was not correct. To be fair, we did get the correct strawberry matcha in the end and were allowed to leave the regular latte behind.
However, the way the staff handled the situation was disappointing. The server made unfriendly faces with another customer while preparing our drinks, and when it came time to pay, they didn’t even look at us. After we paid, they quickly turned away without any acknowledgment.
In our opinion, making faces at customers and ignoring them is not professional service. We won’t be coming back, and we hope other visitors are aware of this before choosing the place.

Murphy's Grill
Portarlington
06/07/2025: Beautiful food but the service could have been better. We ordered drinks and they arrived straight away. We then ordered two mains and after 30 minutes had to ask where it was. We were told no food was ordered. When it did arrive it was really good. We then asked for the desert menu and that never arrived. So we decided to go to the till to pay only to have to track down someone so we could pay.
Amazing food. Service needs an overhaul.
26/06/2025: I dropped into Murphy's yesterday for a quick lunch before heading back to Dublin. I had never been before and was pleasantly surprised. The bar/restaurant is lovely, lots of room but that's probably because it was mid-week so perhaps not overly busy. There was a lovely atmosphere, with it seems local people enjoying their lunches. The staff were very efficient and friendly.
I ordered the starter Prawns Pil Pil along with a glass of Guinness. And this is were the experience faltered. The prawns were a disappointment. The prawns themselves were plentiful and cooked well. The pil pil sauce was dreadful and there was so much of it, the bowl was absolutely swimming with what looked like red oil, and some baby tomatoes and shaved garlic at the bottom. The sauce/oil was completely tasteless with none of the exected pil pil punch. However the accompanying sourdough was lovely as was the Guinness.
The lunch was good value and the other dishes I saw going out looked great. So I may have been unlucky. Just a tip to the kitchen, Prawns Pil Pil doesn't need that huge amount of oil!
