The best restaurants

08/03/2025: Stopped on a Sunday afternoon, place packed due to Ireland v France rugby match, still got seated for food quickly and efficiently. Both of us had one of the specials, corned beef and cabbage with parsley sauce. Absolutely delicious, two clean plates. All servers were friendly and efficient. Good value for money. Will be back the next time we happen to be in Blessington.

17/02/2025: Stopped by out of the blue at apprx 3pm on a Sunday. It was busy but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite the lunchtime rush, we were served and looked after extremely well and promptly. I think about 5 different staff stopped by to check on us during the course of the meal. Food was great aswell.

26/01/2025: Beautiful, relaxed cocktail bar that is a blessed relief from the over-crowded bars of Temple Bar. Excellent cocktails, albeit not cheap. Staff are always very pleasant and will make cocktails that are not on the (short) menu.

17/05/2025: I was 10 minutes away so I decided to ring my order in. It was only a burger and chips. When I arrived a kind woman behind the counter said it will be another 5 mins. I said no problem as I don’t mind waiting. All of a sudden the owner a rude bald man came out and shouted at me that I shouldn’t be making orders over the phone!!! He stated that I won’t get it quicker and I am only a nuisance to him!! It was quite embarrassing for him that even the woman apologised to me for him. If that is what he’s like to customers I worry what he’s like to his staff!!

05/10/2024: Hemos estado recibiendo Mango Verde Rathfarnham durante años y Mango Tree como se conocía formalmente. Siempre he encontrado la comida muy buena, pero el servicio es tan decepcionante. Desde que tengo memoria el servicio ha sido inconsistente y horrible a veces. Anoche ordenamos que nos entregaran comida. 1 hora y 20 minutos después mi marido llamó para una ETA. Le aconsejan que el conductor había dado nuestra comida a la casa equivocada y como se habían 'arropado' en nuestra comida tuvieron que volver a hacer nuestro pedido. Mi esposo preguntó por qué, después de 1 hora 20 minutos no recibió una llamada para explicar esto y el miembro del personal dijo que ya nos avisaron (no lo hicimos. ) El miembro del personal se disculpó y se ofreció a poner un crédito en nuestra cuenta, pero de la experiencia anterior llegamos a aprender que estos créditos no son fácilmente canjeables! La comida llegó después de 1 hora 45 y ni siquiera nos dieron una lata gratis por las molestias de todo.
