15/03/2025: Overall 3/5 ... ordered a "cornish" with chips, pasty not fluffy at all, filling good, 3/5, chips like cardboard and no condiments unless you pay for them and that for a price tag of 15 quid 2/5, didn't ask for salad, won't eat it, won't rate it n/a, service quick but remade food 4/5, coffee tough excellent 4.5 / 5, will I come back, likely not unless as today I'm awfully hungry

05/10/2024: Hemos estado recibiendo Mango Verde Rathfarnham durante años y Mango Tree como se conocía formalmente. Siempre he encontrado la comida muy buena, pero el servicio es tan decepcionante. Desde que tengo memoria el servicio ha sido inconsistente y horrible a veces. Anoche ordenamos que nos entregaran comida. 1 hora y 20 minutos después mi marido llamó para una ETA. Le aconsejan que el conductor había dado nuestra comida a la casa equivocada y como se habían 'arropado' en nuestra comida tuvieron que volver a hacer nuestro pedido. Mi esposo preguntó por qué, después de 1 hora 20 minutos no recibió una llamada para explicar esto y el miembro del personal dijo que ya nos avisaron (no lo hicimos. ) El miembro del personal se disculpó y se ofreció a poner un crédito en nuestra cuenta, pero de la experiencia anterior llegamos a aprender que estos créditos no son fácilmente canjeables! La comida llegó después de 1 hora 45 y ni siquiera nos dieron una lata gratis por las molestias de todo.

24/12/2024: I had high expectations for Cabra Castle, but my visit on Sunday was ruined by a staff member at the entrance to the Derby bar. She was rude and dismissive. From the moment we interacted, her attitude was unwelcoming and snooty. She was abrupt and made no effort to accommodate our needs. We felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave. For a place with such a great reputation, this was incredibly disappointing. Hospitality should be at the heart of any visit, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short. I hope management addresses this issue with her so others don’t have a similar experience. Perhaps she needs to brush up on her hospitality skills or consider a career change. She was more interested in her red lipstick than she was in valuable longstanding loyal returning guests. We had our wedding there in 2008 and we were so shocked at her attitude towards us. She is a liability for Cabra Castle rather than a valuable asset. Avoid at all costs. We certainly won't be back.

18/08/2024: We had amazing waitress Marta who looked after us. She is very nice and friendly. We enjoyed talking with her. Good choice of food, big portions. I could give 5 stars unfortunately this place was full at the beginning and we spend 2 hours walking around the hotel before we could get in. There are other areas in the hotel with bar which should be opened for guests so they could enjoy time there. Or at least there should be some lounge area where people’s could get a coffee and sit on couch and relax- we’ve seen some places like that but we had no idea if we could even sit there. Thanks to Marta our bad first impression have changed.
