06/09/2025: This is an impeccably clean, bright, cosy cafe with plenty food options. There's ample parking outside and the seating is very comfortable. The toilet was spacious and very clean also. I visited here for a cappuccino and the presentation was nice, but the beans used had a very burnt flavour which I dislike. Aside from that, it's a really nice place.

13/09/2025: Absolutely delicious never had a better pizza, I always never eat the crust of the pizza but this one i left no crumbs, and dont even get me started with the chips, PERFECTLY salted just like heaven at this point, fully recommend to go there!

01/06/2025: I can’t recommend Marija’s desserts enough! Marija created beautiful desserts for a very special occasion. They were so delicious, beautiful and plant based! Her work is truly a masterpiece. The communication was excellent and professional! Will definitely be ordering them again and exploring more flavours! 🩷

14/05/2025: Couldn’t speak any more highly about Marija. Her creations are absolutely stunning and delicious. I ordered a few eclairs and a couple of entremets for my partner’s birthday. She waited till the last minute to decorate them so they were fresh, and also made sure to include a message somewhere on the desserts (not as easy as on a cake) - the attention to detail is incredible. To top it off, she’s such a kind and lovely person. Delighted to have ordered from Marija.

01/07/2025: we were looking forward to coming to this restaurant all was well to start and then I got my lamb shank Biryani was the lamb shank was cold as ice in the middle it looks like it wasn't made fresh and just reheated the condiments on the table were used and looked like it's been sitting in the kitchen all day the sad part was we were the only customers in the place and it was suck a let down to get service and food like this I'm a Chef my self and I would never let one of my guests have a experience like this just they didn't charge for the lamb shank but it just doesn't make up for that level of food and service

04/09/2024: From the journey over to Heir on the 2pm ferry - €6 return (no charge for those with a travel pass) to the return journey at 4pm we just had a fab time. The lovely weather was a welcome addition to the experience. There is an inclined 10-15 min walk up from the pier to Island Cottage where we were greeted by Ellmary. The menu is no choice and I mean No choice. There is no wine list, however a very nice French red & white wine are available to diners. We sat at a communal dining table with some lovely people. The food is wonderful: medium-rare steak with a buttery mash on a red pepper jus (I could be wrong on this but it was lovely) followed by the lightest of lemon soufflé, Tea/Coffee with home made biscuits finished up the experience. We never actually caught sight of John the chef, as we left to catch the 4pm ferry - however we could hear the industry & smell the aromas eminating from the kitchen. Well done to you both. I look forward to returning.

28/07/2024: An amazing intimate restaurant experience. No menu choice. It is what it is and that’s that. Starter, mains and desert service with tea or coffee for €25! Wine available by the glass or bottle. We sat at a table of 8 and got to have cross table conversations with two lovely ladies and an actor and his Kazakstan partner. The setting was intimate and we got a sneak peek into the tiny kitchen with the husband cheffing. The steak and mash on a lovely sauce followed by a soufflé that melted in your mouth. The others at the table missed their ferry boat back and so we gave them a jaunt back .. So if you want an experience and to meet some fab people and have some lovely food try and book at table . Booking open 10am Tuesdays !
