02/11/2024: The bartender informed me that "we're currently living the book of revelations,666, and that elon musk is going to bring it about whether or not trump is around". Additionally, there was an elderly couple who were yelling at me to leave as I walked past them in the bar. On a positive note: they don't have a card reader and I didn't have cash on me, so the lady who poured my guinness gave it to me for free.

04/01/2025: The staff is friendly, the Shop clean and tidy. I got a lovely seatrout, it was delicious

17/07/2024: Had carvery lunch in the ivy bar on Sunday, was beautiful couldn't fault it. However went for an evening meal later in the week, ordered a medium fillet steak and a Korean chicken burger, steak arrived went done close to burnt, chicken burger also burnt and missing half its toppings. Took over half an hour to come out, desperately slow. Eventually got the attention of a waiter who took it back and returned 10 minutes later to say they are making a replacement, the manager Eventually came down with a very fake apology, 25 minutes later a medium steak which was nice arrived, 55 minutes for a medium steak isn't acceptable, the staff on the till new asked had the manager mentioned a discount which she happened, so she had to check and the instruction to her was take off 4 euro off a 30 quid steak, not acceptable won't be back.

11/10/2023: Great weekend in the Silvermine Bar, great music,, craic and drinks. Watched the match and was fair impressed with DJ Just J. Great edition to the town,

15/12/2024: Tried to order a takeaway to Malin Head and got told that it was too windy to make a delivery. I have never heard such an outright stupid excuse to avoid making service.Will not be ordering from here again because of this. Which is a shame, because the food is actually fantastic.
