09/10/2025: Decent coffee inside the hotel’s cafe

06/08/2025: It's a hotel not a coffee shop. No atmosphere, poor service, mediocre coffee.

03/02/2025: Not a nice establishment. Very disrespectful to anyone outside their preferred group. Obviously in serious arrangements with local , untrustworthy influencer. There's other, more respected venues near by. I'll gladly discuss my experience with any member of management if they make contact. Again, avoid big time

08/10/2023: I had the pleasure of experiencing the grand opening of The Silvermine, and I must say, it's a true gem in our city. It's a brilliant fusion of coffee, beer, and an extraordinary dance floor, making it a must-visit spot in the city The highlight of The Silvermine is undoubtedly its innovative dance floor, adorned with a mesmerizing light-up ceiling that transforms the entire space into a pulsating dance haven. It's a sight to behold and an experience that's hard to forget.

15/10/2025: Located inside Hotel Strand, The River Restaurant and Bar has probably the best selection of breakfast items. It is open for lunch, tea and dinner as well. A variety of hot and cold breakfast items comprise of scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, potatoes, tomatoes, baked beans, sausages, bacon, fresh yogurt, cut fruits, flavored yogurt, fresh fruit such as oranges, apples and bananas, two types of smoothies, porridge, variety of toppings, dry cereals, milk, variety of breads, pancakes, waffles, croissants, muffins and fresh fruit juices. It has a coffee machine with variety of coffee drinks you can pour on your own as well as hot tea selections that you can make a pot of. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Food tastes very good. A great way to start your day with a scrumptious breakfast!!!

28/08/2025: I couldn't find a server. I kept having to get up and track them down to order and then deliver food.

22/09/2025: Very disappointed, normally the cakes are lovely but got cakes today and they must have been in shop since Friday or Saturday. They were far from fresh and cost 20 euro .

13/08/2025: LONG AND HONEST REVIEW AHEAD. We did NOT end up dining here due to the below events. VERY unprofessional. Not sure if it was just the selection of staff when we stopped, but they were all sat outside on benches lounging about when we pulled in. Stopped here with the intention of grabbing a couple of sandwiches. We were looking through the menu online in the parking lot before heading inside, but not even 2 minutes after parking, some guy came recklessly barreling into the lot, honking at the female staff (who were all giggling and sticking up their middle fingers—clearly all friends.) He then proceeded to whip into the space next to me, swing his door open, and very obviously clip my side mirror. I was absolutely shocked, not only that this had all happened, but that he didn’t apologize or acknowledge that it happened. I got out of my car, checked the mirror, and noticed a very obvious mark. I told the gentleman (who was now sat outside with the girls on the benches smoking) and he came right over. Said he worked at a garage and could “take care of it real quick” for me. I was not comfortable with this as the car is a rental. I took down his name and phone number in case the rental agency has an issue. He did not apologize once, and after he went and sat back down, none of the staff seemed to care either. In fact, they were laughing the whole time. I’m glad I didn’t end up spending money here. Terrible lack of professionalism.

12/03/2025: Definitely my favorite coffee shop in town. Friendly atmosphere with an owner who makes you feel at home, and is always looking for new ways to enhance the experience. Great coffee, great vibes, great shout.
